- Maria L.May 2023PositiveVery quiet and idyllic, owners and employees are very friendly and helpful, shopping facilities nearby, toilets and showers are very clean, 7 showers are included, fishing possibility, no unnecessary frills on the camping area.NegativThe WLAN is ok, but could be expandedVacation stayWe had our motorhome meeting here. Since I love it quiet and relaxing, I am thrilled and would come again if possible.
What I really like is that the site is just a large meadow with electricity and water.Automatisk oversat. - Björn K.May 2021PositiveLots of peace and quiet, beautiful view of the Aller, nice operatorsNegativjust little things.Quiet place with a beautiful viewWe were there over Whitsun. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It is a quiet, manageable place to relax.Automatisk oversat.
- Petra T.June 2020PositiveVery clean sanitary facilities, very quiet, the place very well maintained and natural, pure natureNegativWe liked everythingA very nice quiet campsiteIt was our first time at this campsite. It is a very clean site, very quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There are many pitches directly on the Aller for transit campers.Automatisk oversat.
- Jana N.June 2019PositiveWaterfront location, well-tended meadowNegativMany large groups, noisy youth group, free-roaming dogs, noise from groups until late at night, very unkempt supply and disposal facilitiesUnfortunately loud and partly unkemptWe were on the site over Ascension Day, which is probably not the best time to visit. The location by the water is very nice, the large meadow and the lawn are very well-kept and green throughout, without any worn-out areas. There is actually nothing left to see of the (former) manor, apart from the... entrance gate. One half-timbered house (photo website), the rest barns. All in need of considerable maintenance. The manor house, which burnt down years ago, has been replaced by a somewhat peculiar new yellow building. Unfortunately, there were several large groups on the site at the same time, which created a lot of hustle and bustle throughout the day. Some of the groups were very loud well into the night. On Saturday, a large youth group arrived on the site and was placed right in the middle (even louder). Several campers let their dogs run free the whole time, which led to attacks on dogs on a leash and to their droppings not being removed. The operator apparently did nothing about the noisy groups or the dogs running free. The sanitary facilities are inadequate for the large crowds and were not particularly clean. The doors in the ladies' toilet were jammed, which is not only a problem for children. The water supply and disposal points have obviously been very unkempt for a long time. We found it very unpleasant to work here. The price is too high (for 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog) considering the facilities and the state of maintenance.Automatisk oversat.
- Alfred K.August 2018PositiveFree standing Very good price-performance ratio Peace and relaxation No additional costs Everything very cleanNegativI have not found one for myselfPure peace and relaxation, good for canoeistsOne thing in advance: if you are coming from Rethem and the navigation system says "Turn left", you can only do this if you have seen the Frankenfeld sign beforehand, otherwise you will end up in a dead end with relatively poor turning options. You drive through the brick gate and feel like you've been... transported back in time. Well-preserved antiquity with cobblestones that encourage you to drive slowly. The welcome is warm and unbureaucratic. This is followed by an introduction to the local conditions and the site, including a search for a pitch. The sanitary facilities are housed in an older building. They are not the newest, but they are spacious, functional and clean, which is important to me. I had a pitch in the far corner with a view of the unspoilt countryside and the Aller, including great sunrises and sunsets. Unfortunately, the free Wi-Fi is not available everywhere, so I was allowed to take a healthy walk from time to time. In Rethem, 5 km away, you can go shopping, eat (including delicious pizza) and enjoy ice cream. I went there by bike along the dyke. The Walsrode Bird Park and the Serengeti Park are very close by. If you want to travel a little further, you can visit Hanover Zoo or the inexpensive Lüneburg Heath Wildlife Park. The campsite is a paradise for canoeists. The price-performance ratio is very good. Waste, WLAN and showers are included, electricity is charged at a flat rate.Automatisk oversat.
- Holger N.May 2018Positive- Peace and quiet - Price / performance - Close to the parkNegativ- Too few sanitary facilities and washing-up facilitiesBy the riverIf you're looking to slow down, this is the place for you. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The bread roll service was also perfect. However, the place is a bit out of the way. The next place (Rethem about 5km) but has everything your heart desires. Advantageous is the short distance to the... Serengeti Park, bird park and Heidepark. A visit to the Wolfscenter Dörverden is also highly recommended. The fine pitches directly on the Aller should also be emphasized. Negative points when the site is full are the lack of sanitary facilities and washing-up facilities.Automatisk oversat.
- Hendrik J.May 2018PositiveVery quiet!NegativInsufficient washing-up facilitiesSmall, secluded place in a quiet atmosphereA small, quiet, secluded site with very friendly owners. Large open meadow with free parking directly on the Aller. The sanitary facilities were sufficient but unfortunately the toilets all had no windows. In addition, there was only one washing-up facility for the entire site, the additional sinks in... the basement area are not reasonable and should be avoided at all costs. On the whole, however, it was a nice little place where you can relax for a few days.Automatisk oversat.
- Frank Dr. F.May 2018PositivePeace and quiet, dogs welcome, beautiful cycle pathsNegativNo water connection at the pitchPure relaxationVery well-kept pitch Sanitary clean and up to standard. Showers are included. Very friendly landlords. Ideal for campers with dogs. Very nice cycle paths. Allerauen dreamlike.Automatisk oversat.
- Hans D.July 2016PositiveQuiet location of the campsite, Swimming directly in the AllerNegativAccess to the Aller is somewhat difficult,Quiet campsiteAnyone looking for a quiet campsite is in good hands at Rittergut Frankenfeld. Permanent campers very nice and helpful. The sanitary facilities are state of the art and also very clean. The campsite operators are very nice and also very helpful. The children's playgrounds are also great.Automatisk oversat.
- Jacqueline R.April 2015PositiveVery quiet, you can really relax.Absolutely superWe spent a week at Rittergut Frankenfeld and can only recommend it. It is wonderfully quiet, the site owners are very friendly, the sanitary facilities are very clean and well maintained and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. We will definitely be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Anna P.September 2014PositivePeace..water .. RelaxationAgain and again with pleasure! The location is perfect. You have peace and quiet and a direct view of the Aller. Mrs. and Mr. Helle-Feldmann are the friendliness in person. There is nothing to complain about. Again and again with pleasureAutomatisk oversat.
- Brigitte S.August 2014PositiveLocated directly on the water with a friendly and familiar atmosphere. For people who enjoy water sports and love peace and quietNegativNo gastronomy nearbyIdeal for paddlersWe were passing through here with our kayaks and were given a very friendly welcome. The tent pitch is spacious and nice and quiet, the sanitary facilities are great, that's all we needed.Automatisk oversat.
- Annette O.July 2013PositiveAn easily accessible site, but not recommended in the winter months due to the season (e.g. high water).NegativOverall, the campsite is relatively secluded. You have to like nature.Anyone looking for a clean, well-kept grass pitch is well catered for here (price/performance). The public campsite is located on a large meadow directly on the Aller - accessible via the courtyard of the former manor. The sanitary facilities are also located there. Ideal for those seeking peace and... quiet - but beware: youth groups will also find plenty of space here. However, if you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is not the place for you. All in all, highly recommended.Automatisk oversat.
- Ingrid M.August 2012Nice place directly on the Aller on a large meadow, pleasant atmosphere, good for canoeing and cycling and everything very well maintained. The price-performance ratio is also great.Automatisk oversat.
- Monika H.May 2012Campsite with a family atmosphere. Dogs are welcome, good ground on a well-kept meadow. Small sanitary building, but very well maintained. Very nice site operators. The only drawback is the long walk to the water tap. We felt very comfortable here and would love to come back!Automatisk oversat.
- Carlo G.June 2011We were here with our classic car club. We were given a very warm welcome. The meadow pitch is well maintained and without grass clippings, which, as you know, always stick to your shoes. Good opportunities for water sports and fishing. No restaurant or snack bar. Bread rolls can be ordered. Sanitary... facilities are new. Water supply and electricity do not meet safety requirements. We have pointed this out to the operator. They want to remedy the situation. A lovely site, beautifully situated with a nice atmosphere; and very reasonably priced. We would be happy to go again.Automatisk oversat.
- Udo-Dietmar B.July 2010Not only does this site offer good value for money, it also appeals to campers who know where this form of leisure activity actually comes from - not a new German event machine, but a cultivated haven of hospitality and coziness that demands personal initiative, disco dolls, four-star eaters and pseudo beach players who want to be taken by the hand are unfortunately wrong here.Automatisk oversat.
- Johannes T.June 2010We experienced this campground as very pleasant. Right on the water and the peace that prevailed. You were kindly received. Plenty of opportunities for cycling.Automatisk oversat.
