The pitches are spacious and, if you're lucky enough to be right by the river, very idyllic.
The site is right next to the village and you can cycle to the shops.
Even without a car, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking.
When the campsite is full, the sanitary facilities are a little tight. However, they were always clean.

The campsite is clean and tidy and the staff very friendly and helpful.
We made a few small trips to Trier and Vianden. Highly recommended.
Hiked 1 day through the Teufelschlucht. Spicy but very beautiful.

It was warm. The kids had a great time playing in the creek in front of the tent.
A quiet campground with great facilities. Clean toilets and showers.
Nice pizza in the restaurant at the campsite. Highly recommended.
In the village you will find everything you need. An Aldi and an Edeka. Baker open at 6 in the morning.

After the flood of 2021, they have done mountains of work here and almost completely restored the campsite.
New, beautiful plumbing, their own Italian restaurant with delicious food and all new camper and caravan/tent pitches.
Hats off to the people who rebuilt it all like this.

After the destruction caused by the flood, the sanitary facilities are new and really great. Cleaned daily so very clean. Electricity and water directly at the pitch. The cleaning system for the toilet cassettes is great. The pizzeria on the pitch is super top... dishes. It is a stone's throw to the town with shopping facilities. If you look at the pictures, you can't rate it highly enough how a family business has been rebuilt here. Of course, work is still being done here and there, but always with consideration for the guests. The sanitary facilities... are new. The pizzeria on the pitch is really great. New electricity columns with water points. The toilets are disposed of via a new machine which is very cheap at just one euro. New washing machines and dryers. Very nice operators. The panorama is also good.
It is a pity that the banks of the adjacent river are sometimes heavily polluted with building rubble etc., so that it is not possible to cool off. The petting zoo is also not a real petting zoo,... but an animal enclosure at the entrance road without access.
The restaurant is closed and unfortunately there is no bread roll service on site. This is probably not the fault of the operator, but the tenant of the restaurant has probably jumped off in the context of Corona.
Waste containers were overfilled, cobwebs were hanging from the ceilings in the washrooms and shelves were dirty. The nappy-changing room spread a stench as the garbage cans had not been emptied.
In times of Corona, the state of the sanitary facilities was particularly annoying as they obviously weren't cleaned properly...
At the weekend, a beer pavilion was opened in the evening and music was played in the evening, which filled half the campsite with sound.
Overall, we were disappointed with the site due to the aforementioned circumstances, which is all the sadder as more could certainly be done with the site.Automatisk oversat.

Good, we are all of an advanced age, so no disco music until 2am;-) The sanitary facilities... were very new and clean, although there was apparently a very pungent smell of sewage and manure from the shower area (so bring a clip for your nose). Infrastructure (electricity/water) is great, but the pitch has very little shade, but is located directly on the Prüm. In our opinion, it is therefore well suited for a weekend, but we would certainly not spend a longer vacation here. Reasonable price for the rather simple site. A manageable site with a very friendly host family and lots of nice "neighbors". Arrive and feel at home right by the Prüm. The old sanitary facilities are simple but always very clean. The new sanitary... facilities on the 1st floor are even better. Spacious showers and toilets. Modern design and very clean. There is a nice playground with a bouncy castle for children. Otherwise, a hike from the campsite to the Devil's Gorge, past the Irrel "waterfalls", is a great option. A trip to Trier, just 20 km away, can also be part of the leisure program. It is very picturesquely situated directly on the Prüm and is therefore ideal for anglers. The site is ideal for families with small children (up to 12 years old) - firstly because there are lots of children of this age here, secondly because it is reasonably... priced for families, thirdly because of the lovely children's playground (with bouncy castle) and the other play facilities on the site (large grass area, cycling on the site) - and last but not least because of the petting zoo. The owners are very friendly. The sanitary facilities are partly modernized, partly not yet, but we have always found them to be in impeccably clean condition. An excursion to the Irrel waterfalls and the local Westwall Museum is well worthwhile. The reservation of the pitch worked out great, everything as desired. Even changing the booking by one day was no problem. The pitch was very well maintained, lawn mowed and above all you can easily put the caravan in the... scale. Water, electricity and satellite TV almost directly at the pitch. The supply columns are great, there is a sink with fresh water, you can wash the salad on the other side electricity and television. Very friendly operators who still take their campers seriously. For people who come from a noisy part of the country like us, the peace and quiet on the campsite was wonderful. No car noises, no noise, just the birds singing in the morning. We really enjoyed that. The sanitary facilities on the upper floor are of the finest quality, new and always spotlessly clean. The facilities on the ground floor are a bit outdated but also always very well maintained and clean. We didn't try the restaurant, it seemed a bit smoky to us and the menu isn't the best. Bread rolls are served fresh every day from 8.30 am and we thought they were very good. For a good meal there are good substitutes within walking distance in Irrel. Shopping no problem Supermarkets, butchers and bakers are within a radius of max. 1 kilometer on foot or by bike. From the campsite there are many possibilities to get to know the southern Eifel and Luxembourg. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is first class, especially if you can take advantage of the special offers. We felt comfortable and relaxed and that's why we'll be back.Automatisk oversat.
