"Glimrende campingplads - Pladsen ligger i et smukt og meget roligt område kun ca. 600 m fra Westerbork Lejrens museum. Den ejes af et overordentlig venligt og udadvendt ægtepar, som er meget hjælpsomme. Westerbork Lejren og dens museum er et besøg værd. Den var til at begynde med en flygtningelejr, hvor tysk-jødiske flygtninge blev anbragt før krigen. I juli 1942 blev lejrens status ændret til transitlejr, hvorfra jøder og sigøjnere blev sendt øst på. Det sidste tog fra Westerbork, der nåede Auschwitz-Birkenau, forlod Westerbork i september 1944.

Camping in Drenthe at Camping Tikvah is camping on a special family campsite in the Drentse Hooglanden. Young and old enjoy an unforgettable holiday here. From our child-friendly campsite you can walk straight into the forest, with heaths and sand …drifts of Het Grote Zand behind you. And a cycle path runs alongside the campsite - 70 metres from cycle junction 3. Another special feature is that this campsite in Drenthe is 500 metres from the former Westerbork camp. With us you camp in the middle of nature on very large pitches (120-250 m2) and at a distance from each other . We have excellent wifi available at every site. Camping at our campsite in Drenthe means first and foremost enjoying nature, peace and conviviality. Why do young families, but also senior citizens, choose our family campsite Tikvah in Drenthe? -Large to very large pitches: 125-250 m2! -80% of the pitches are comfort pitches: Running water on the pitch itself, a drainage point and of course electricity. -From the campsite in Drenthe you walk directly into the forest with heaths and sand drifts of Het Grote Zand behind. The grounds of Camping Tikvah are spacious and have 50 pitches. -The campsite is child-friendly, small and well laid out. -Good wifi (via fibre optic to the site!) is available free of charge at every location. Our sanitary facilities are modern and clean and equipped with ladies and gents toilets and showers! You can do the washing up under cover, so you won't be disturbed in bad weather. Our disabled room is spacious, especially for those with walking difficulties or for parents who want to accompany their children in the shower -Separate men's and women's areas with underfloor heating -Changing table for babies -Spacious wheelchair-accessible disabled room -Spacious washbasins with mirrors -Water taps -Dishwashing and textile washing areas -A dumping point for chemical toilets -Washing machine and centrifuge -Baby bath with changing table Pets are welcome at Camping Tikvah! From the A28, take the Beilen-Noord/Emmen/Hooghalen exit. Then follow the signs to Hooghalen for ± 10 km. Just before Hooghalen follow the brown sign 'voormalig Kamp Westerbork'. Just before the roundabout, turn right over the railway, then 1.5 km.
