- Zsolt S.June 2018PositiveQuiet peaceful environment, clean sanitary facilities, pool, great shop and cleanliness.NegativIt is a bit far from the city's attractions. The price is a bit high.A great baby, child friendly campsite, I can only recommend it.Perfect.Friendly staff, perfectly spotlessly clean sanitary facilities, child-friendly, separate toilets and bathrooms for children.Grassy, decent sized plots with electricity nearby. The size and selection of the shop on the site is above average and above expectations.During our stay, parrots were flying in flocks in the trees.Separate washing and toilet facilities for pets and dogs.Automatisk oversat.
- Jacqueline S.May 2018PositiveMan is fast in RomeNegativNothing outside CPShort stayThe campsite has large plots but (the grass or rather weeds) was not mowed high! There were many ants. On the way to the CP you drive past professionals was unpleasant !!! I can only speak German no other language but I try to communicate with hands and feet and translation help with cell phone I called the reception 2 times to get information both times they just hung up because they did not understand me . Very unfriendlyAutomatisk oversat.
- Oliver H.September 2017PositiveClose to the metro station and the city of RomeNegativPublic bus service to the campsite in the eveningSuitable for sightseeing in RomeUncomplicated check-in with very friendly staff, some of whom speak German. The pitches are on level, well-shaded grassland, but in summer when it's dry, not a blade of grass grows. The site is beautifully planted and clean. A nearby shooting range can open at 07:30 on Saturdays. There is a good restaurant... and a small supermarket on the site. The sanitary facilities are clean under the circumstances but there is a lack of storage facilities in the showers. There are no soap dispensers in the sanitary facilities. A WiFi connection to the Internet unfortunately only works in the immediate entrance area. There is an hourly bus transfer to the nearby metro station in the morning and in the afternoon until 20:30. A later return journey from Rome by public transport is unfortunately no longer possible.Automatisk oversat.
- Bianka B.July 2017Positivespacious campsite, many shady pitches, poolNegativRelatively long way to Rome by public transportCamping on the outskirts of RomeWe were here in summer 2017. The signposting to the campsite was poor, very inconspicuous. The site is on the outskirts of the city. To reach Rome by public transport, you have to walk about 30 minutes. There are hardly any parking spaces at the train station. That's why we left the car at the campsite.... It takes another 40 minutes by train to get to Rome. Nevertheless, we would choose this campsite again. It is very large, the pitches are freely selectable and quite big. There are lots of shady pitches. The sanitary facilities are fine and are kept clean. There is a small pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. We liked it.Automatisk oversat.
- Przemysław K.August 2016Positivecleanliness, infrastructure, communication to romeoNegativdistance from the city, unpredictability of the lifeguard's moods at the poolHighly recommendedLarge, clean campground, although far from the center of Rome. Quite a complicated connection ( in 1997 the campground offered a connection to Prima Porta station - now no longer) to the center. Large plots, friendly staff, well-stocked store. Swimming pool on site.Automatisk oversat.
- Frank G.May 2016PositivePrice performance fits. Pitch big enough for motorhome. Garbage can near the pitch emptied every day.NegativWhen we arrived, some of the pitches were lakeside and unusable, as it had probably rained beforehand. For motorhome Ideal place of safety and also quite central fast in RomeFor the price, what more could I want! Stayed there for 4 nights. Everything was explained at reception about how to get into the city cheaply and quickly by bus and metro. If I go to Rome again, then here again, no question! As described below, some pitches were unusable because of the lakes, but we... still got a dry one. Can be noisy at night, as arrival and departure are possible 24 hours a day, once a motorcycle and once a car rattled. Otherwise quiet! The bottom line is that this fits!Automatisk oversat.
- Wolfgang S.May 2015PositiveGood supermarket on site, sufficient sanitary facilities availableNegativSanitary not very cleanItaly 2015We drove to this campsite from Naples without further ado. I didn't feel like driving anymore. Situated directly on the Tiber, this site is very quiet and at the time we were there in May 2015, it was barely frequented. It's a bit far out of the way for a visit to Rome, but the people have thought of... something. For a small fee (€1.5 per person), you can take a shuttle bus to the nearest town and of course be picked up again. From there you can take the suburban train to Rome. It's no problem at all and was great fun. You have to see Rome and, above all, you have to take your time for this city. Unfortunately, we didn't have any more. That's why Rome will see us again. Possibly this campsite too.Automatisk oversat.
- Jenny G.August 2014PositiveClose to Rome, great sanitary buildingNegativToo loud at night, many mosquitoes, poor shopping facilities, Continuous music on the pitch / sanitary facilities (can be disturbing, as relative)Worse than expectedWe stayed at the campsite for 3 days at the end of August 2014. Great, new, well-kept sanitary facilities. Overpriced supermarket, unfortunately no other shopping option, as almost outside the village. We wanted to go to Rome by bike and public transport. Bicycle transport not possible. So only public... transport. With loooong waiting times. I imagined better. Pool on the square rather small, relatively loud at night (planes, dogs barking). Some places next to transformer station, which are very noisy. Pizzaria as a meaningless, English-oriented restaurant. For me the worst pizza in Italy, unfortunately. 2 € tourist tax per man/day. More likely to be used as a transit campsite, as it is unattractive during the day due to the gravel works right next door.Automatisk oversat.
- E. M.August 2014PositiveNice place, friendly staff (except for the bus driver - he was always grumpy).NegativToilets and showers were NEVER wet cleaned during the time we were on site, the shuttle bus cost 1€ per adult.Beautiful place just outside Rome.Beautifully landscaped and well-kept place. Unfortunately we chose a place in the back part of the campsite, but in the evening there was a power generator running in the neighborhood until 1.00 a.m. The pool was always clean and the pizza on site was good.Automatisk oversat.
- leo w.September 2012The site is beautifully laid out, partly directly on the banks of the Tiber. Semi-shaded pitches, grassy ground. Nice, clean sanitary facilities - as long as they are not particularly dirty from individual camping guests. During our stay there was a large group of xxxxx (snobbish rich club) here - horrible.... Without them the site would have been very quiet. Well-stocked mini supermarket, restaurant is highly recommended with reasonably priced, well-prepared specialties. Very good starting point for sightseeing in Rome - half-hourly (very punctual) shuttle bus to Prima Porta station - by train to the terminus with metro connection to Flaminia station. It takes about 30 minutes from the CP to the city. One-way tickets available at the reception, Rome Pass for 3 days (€ 30,-) is only available at the tourist information e.g. Termini or Colosseo. Any train can be used for the return journey, all stop again at Prima Porta.Automatisk oversat.
- Walter H.May 2012Free shuttle service to Prima Porta every 1/2 hour, from there for €1.50 per person by train right into Rome. Spacious and shady pitches. Restaurant very good. Appetizer plate is easily enough for the family and tastes great. Superb for a stay in Rome. Should it be Rome again, we will come back to TiberAutomatisk oversat.
Shuttelbus til stationen hver halve time. En plads, vi meget gerne vender tilbage til.
- Friedmann H.June 2011The campsite is in a quiet location. Thanks to the free bus to the train station, the site is an ideal starting point for visits to Rome. Price/performance is ok.Automatisk oversat.
- Christian B.September 2010Ideal for a multi-day trip to explore Rome. The free bus runs every 30 minutes between the 'Prima Porta' train station and the campsite until late in the evening. A beautiful pool invites you to take a dip after sightseeing. Very well-stocked store, although a little expensive. Reception (English speaking)... very friendly and perfect in handling. The site is very large and you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent under the many large deciduous trees directly on the Tiber. The distance to the next electricity column may need to be taken into account (25m cable is not always enough). The newly built sanitary facilities are very clean, with music everywhere and generously laid out. It was very quiet at night (they were all exhausted from the city tours...) Conclusion: Any time again!Automatisk oversat.
- Peter R.August 2010Super free bus transfer to Prima Porta every half hour, from there by train into town. Good food on site, very friendly staff. At half past eleven at night a hornet stung my wife in the bottom, half an hour later: anaphylactic shock, no doctor on site so off to the bar, immediately 2 employees came to... our mobile with the car, loaded my wife and off to the hospital. We called them at 3 o'clock at night and they came and picked us up. Thank you very much for the quick help, apart from a thank you they didn't accept anything from us.Automatisk oversat.
- Konrad K.June 2010We felt very comfortable there. Ideal for sightseeing in Rome as you can reach the S-Bahn quickly (free bus runs every half hour). The atmosphere is youthful and friendly. The restaurant is very good. Parking spaces are generous.Automatisk oversat.
