- Gianni G.July 2024PositiveClose to the city, inside restaurant and barNegativnothingVery nice Camping - no complicationsWe only use this camping for tent for a couple of days, you have all the good services you need for a family, the guys at the reception are very helpful and flexible.
Very nice experience, no complications about closing hours and other stuff as in Germany.
We will spend more time next time in this place, - Reto S.April 2024PositiveClose to the metro, clean sanitary facilities, friendly staffNegativPitches not very wideIdeal campsite for visiting AmsterdamIdeal place for visiting Amsterdam, the metro station is about 15 minutes away on foot. Friendly welcome at the reception, questions were gladly answered. The sanitary facilities were clean.Automatisk oversat.
- Jacque F.April 2024PositiveThe campsite is clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. We had two brief power failures, which were dealt with very quickly and effectively. The connection by bus and metro or the free ferry is great, you are quickly in the center. The pitches are equipped with bark mulch, so it's never muddy or dirty.NegativThe pitches are really tight (despite the size booked). For caravans without a mover, you should be able to drive reasonably.Ideal for a city trip to Amsterdam! Super location! We had a great weekend with nice contact to international fellow campers. We are looking forward to our next visit :-)Automatisk oversat.
- Christian M.April 2024PositiveVery centrally located, quiet and modernNegativShowers, the water has a default setting and is not really warm.Ideal for a city vacationGreat location, simple but good facilities. Fresh bread rolls are available daily. Metro not far, center quickly accessible. Supermarket (Jumbo) can be reached in 2-3 min by bike. Good price / performance ratio. We will be back!Automatisk oversat.
- Familie W.October 2022PositiveCentral to explore Amsterdam Very quiet for a pitch in the city Right next to a small park and therefore ideal for dogs Great and delicious burgers on site The XXL pitches are big enoughNegativWe have not discoveredGreat place very centrally locatedWe were on an XXL pitch from Saturday to Thursday, including fresh water, waste water and electricity.
The small restaurant at the front has great sandwiches, totally delicious burgers and is also very cozy. We booked online, received everything by email and didn't even have to register.
We can't judge... the sanitary facilities, but they seemed clean when we inspected them. Even if they are getting on in years, that's no reason to give them a bad review. Presumably there are now motorhome drivers who love all-inclusive vacations and are used to other things and have become motorhome drivers due to Covid. (I had to get rid of it) A rating below 4 is definitely not justified.Automatisk oversat. - Stanislav P.September 2022PositiveThe campsite is ideally located in the city. The center can be reached by bike and free ferry in 10-15 minutesNegativPitches too small. With a VW bus and 3x3m awning we reached our limitsUrban campsite in an ideal locationThe campsite is located north of the city center in a park-like area. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The pitches are very narrow and sprinkled with wood mulch, so the ground is not muddy even when it rains. The sanitary facilities are adequate and clean, the shower water is free but only... lukewarm. The city center can be reached quickly by bike and ferry. It is also quick to get there on foot and by metro. The metro station is about 1 km away. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The well-stocked Jumbo Market on Motorkanaal, approx. 1 km away, deserves a special mention. In addition to sightseeing, excursions to the north of Amsterdam are also worthwhile. The former NSDM shipyard site is being transformed into an in-district. There are also 2 factory halls in which a huge antiques market has found a home. Or a trip by bike (or car) to the Zaandam open-air museum, which is about 17 km away.Automatisk oversat.
- Alex S.August 2022PositiveCity campsite, even if quite far away on foot.NegativVery, very small pitches. Approach/driveway takes some getting used to.Suitable for a short vacationThe pitch for motorhomes/caravans is newly created, but the pitches are very very small, probably intended for smaller motorhomes, but even then the neighbor is already reached with the awning extended. So really only something for a few nights, otherwise there is no space at all. Difficult with a caravan... and car, as you then have two vehicles.
There are bread rolls on the pitch, but everything else is totally overpriced (a 0.33l can of Heineken = €3.50).
You are not really close to the city center, it takes at least 30 minutes to walk to the ferry (free of charge!)
Even after the ferry you have to take a lot of steps, Amsterdam feels huge.
Worth seeing but very expensive.Automatisk oversat. - thomas m.July 2019PositiveLocated in the center of Amsterdam park friendly staffNegativsmall pitches ShowersIdeal as a base to explore AmsterdamGreat for a trip to Amsterdam. You can be at the (free) ferry in 10 minutes by bike and the ferry will take you to the central station and then you are right in the city center. The surrounding area is also great, as the campsite is located directly in a large park, which also has an area where dogs... are allowed to run free. A beautiful old quarter with small alleyways, little houses and great cafés is not easy to find and is highly recommended and within walking distance. The pitches are very, very small. The sanitary facilities are clean despite the large number of people. The showers only offer one water temperature (!) and the water jet is so weak that you almost have to snuggle up against the back wall. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The offer in the restaurant/bar is good.Automatisk oversat.
- Elisabeth W.May 2019Beautiful square in the middle of Amsterdam NoordWe went to this campsite because we wanted to see Amsterdam, nice place in the middle of the city but still very quiet. You can take the ferry to Amsterdam City free of charge by bike or on foot.Automatisk oversat.
- Hans Hagen S.May 2019PositiveBike rental, good location for dog owners, delicious bread rolls and nice staffNegativSmall pitchesGood location nice people but small pitchesThe site has a good location for exploring Amsterdam with free use of the ferry. A good location for dogs due to the adjacent "park". Pitches are more suitable for motorhomes due to their size, caravans and cars do not really fit together. Sanitary facilities and the site as a whole were always clean despite the site being well occupied.Automatisk oversat.
- Jürgen K.August 2018PositiveClose to the city (by foot/bike + ferry or subway), close to the highway, beautiful parkNegativStay only inside the caravan, because there is no 2 m space outside ("Citycamp")Okay, despite the difficult taskVery eager, fresh, enthusiastic, nice, competent operators with heart and soul, but too crowded place with wagon to wagon/camper and tent to tent.Automatisk oversat.
- F. H.April 2018PositiveProximity to the cityNegativVery small pitchesCity camping with very good excursion possibilitiesPlace directly in Amsterdam. About 20 minutes by bike to the city center. Tight pitches, awning or only awning was not to be thought of. Sanitary was perfectly fine. Staff is very friendly and eager to fulfill all needs.Automatisk oversat.
- Britta S.July 2017PositiveClose to the city. Clean. FriendlyAgain and againNice staff. Always friendly. Everything you need is close by. Sanitary area is always cleanedAutomatisk oversat.
- Thomas D.October 2016PositiveClose to the cityNegativSanitary facilities are getting on in years.Ideal for a visit to AmsterdamThe site doesn't have much to offer. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years and the cleaning is not very good either. The site is quite small and everything is very cramped. The motorhome parking spaces in front of the gate are more small parking bays, I wouldn't have known how to get in here... with a 7.50mtr. Womo should come in. However, ideal for a city trip to Amsterdam. By bike 5 min. to the free ferry. That's why we will go here againAutomatisk oversat.
- Christian S.October 2016PositiveVery close to the city, by bike about 3 min to the free ferry (every 5 min) to Amsterdam Altstat (Central Station).NegativHardly any space, very narrow, sanitary facilities closed from 22:30, expensiveMore of a tent meadow and motorhome site than a campsiteWe had used the place as a stopover for a visit to Amsterdam. At the end of October with over 30, - per night for 2 people and WW already expensive. There are a few motorhome pitches (about 8) in front of the barrier and under the barrier is the "campsite" about 15 pitches if everyone moves together.... On sand, everyone stands next to each other like on pitches with approx. 2 m space in front of the door. 6 pitches are probably 9 m long, so that a long caravan just fits (560s). The tent pitches are large. Disposal/supply is only in front of the barrier. The sanitary house, heated, is closed from 22.30 to 6.00! (no showers in the evening) There are 4 toilets per M or F. The toilets at the front are unheated and always open. The pee channel is open and can be seen from everywhere. ( almost outside ). So it is more like a parking space.Automatisk oversat.
- Alfred M.September 2016PositiveBest locationNegativsomewhat expensiveBest location to visit AmsterdamThe campsite is located in a quiet forest/park, but the bus stop is close by (10min to the center), bicycles are also available for rent (15min to the center, with free ferry). Sanitary is good, WLAN is good, bread rolls available, supermarket about 1km away.Automatisk oversat.
- Stefan K.May 2016PositiveCity proximityNegativVery narrowTight space near the city centerThe site was very busy over Whitsun. The pitches are very small, so that only a caravan could fit. There were also some school classes on the site, which was not conducive to cleanliness and peace and quiet.Automatisk oversat.
- miep m.September 2015Negativunheated huts, mold, stench, dampnessnot recommendedrenting poorly insulated wooden cabins without heating at the end of september in amsterdam is very questionable. smelly, moldy, cold and damp. little responsiveness from the management. wifi not working. not recommended.Automatisk oversat.
- Cecil B.September 2015Negativdamp, moldy, poor price-performance ratioNever againWhen we arrived in Amsterdam, we were still amused and impressed by the huts, which seemed so tiny. When we entered these huts, it was less funny again as we were met with a musty, probably moldy smell. Ventilation was rarely possible due to the September cold and so we were exposed to this stench during... the night. Well, there were also the bad weather conditions, which for once were not the fault of the Vliegenbos. Despite the sleeping bag, it was unbearably cold at night. The cold was accompanied by extreme humidity, which meant that the towels simply didn't dry and even the dry clothes we had brought with us absorbed the moisture. We were in Amsterdam to work, but that was not possible under these conditions. The word "cancellation" seemed foreign to the boss and we hardly got any money back, as apparently they like to do business at the expense of people who have already become ill due to the conditions. The kitchenette should also be mentioned: a rusty hob.Automatisk oversat.
- Lujinsue M.September 2015Negativmoldy, damp, cold, small, no working w-lan, overpriced.terrible campsite!!!it was damp, moldy and cold in the cabins. there was no heating (mid-end of september!!) and it stank terribly. the staff was unfriendly, the cooking facilities are a joke. completely overpriced!!!!Automatisk oversat.
