Thorsten Z.september 2018Positive- Price / Performance - Cycling - Peace and quiet, therefore relaxation - Meyer shipyard not far awayVery nice and well managed camping park...A manageable, very friendly camping park run by Mr. and Mrs. Eden, who also have time for a chat in between. The camping park has a covered playground that can be used in all weathers. Older children (12 years) or parents 😊 can enjoy water skiing in the nearby lake, weather permitting and depending... on the time of year. Otherwise, there's lots of cycling and the Meyer shipyard is a must. The camping park is very much in the hands of permanent campers, so the tourist area is more in front of the barrier. Otherwise everything is clean and well run, so it is recommended for the region.Automatisk oversat.

First of all, the quiet, friendly and helpful nature of the owner couple Eden must be emphasized! After our actual pitch turned out to be too noisy (other guests), we were able to move to another, much... quieter one with the strong help of Mrs. Eden. Now our wish for relaxation was fully fulfilled. The path to the lake and the water ski facility there is quite reasonable at about 200 meters, there was also business there, which invited to beer and ice cream. Due to the strong wind, everything was completely covered in sand, but that's just a side note. For families, we found the partially covered play hall very interesting, where parents can also make themselves comfortable.Automatisk oversat.
Holger W.marts 2016Eden- worth a trip.We were on the site at Easter 2016. A manageable campsite run by a very nice couple. Always nice and helpful. The site is well divided into individual sections with approx. 10 pitches. The sanitary facilities are very spacious and clean. The play area (mostly covered) is certainly very interesting for children. There is a swimming lake nearby with a water ski facility, which was even in use at Easter. (huge) Super nice operator family with an open ear for the guests Bread roll service, small kioskNegativI just can't think of any...Highly recommendedWe stayed at this site with a group of 7 caravans over the Easter holidays. The operators (the Eden family) are just great. They are super friendly and always available for their guests and take great care of the vacation guests as well as the permanent campers. The site is very well structured with... 60 permanent guests and 40 tourist pitches. Contact with the permanent guests was always pleasant. The unique idea of integrating the main building into a newly erected steel construction hall deserves special mention. On the first floor you will find the reception, the kiosk and a nice group room (with projector and music system) as well as the sanitary facilities. The private rooms of the owner family are located on the upper floor. The highlight, however, is that approx. 2/3 of the hall is available as an open but covered sand playground. Here, children can let off steam on the excellent climbing equipment and a sailing boat installed there. The sanitary facilities are always super clean, but could have been heated a little more on the cold Easter days. I have never seen such large shower cubicles (each about 8 square meters in size) before. Warm water always came out of the shower heads, which were approx. 60 cm from the wall and made showering an indescribable pleasure. All in all, our entire group was very impressed with the place. Nearby, excursions to the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg and the medieval castle of Boutange (Netherlands) are highly recommended. In summer, the Heeder See lake (approx. 200 meters from the campsite) is ideal for swimming or water skiing (ski facility). Excursions to the North Sea or the towns of Aurich, Leer and Emden are also possible. We will certainly come back here again with our 3 border collie ladies. (Even if the dogs are not allowed in the lake...) The pitches are very well laid out, water and electricity are available at easily accessible collection points. The grassed pitches are level and well consolidated. Our screw pegs were easy to screw in and out.Automatisk oversat.

Ideal for long bike tours. You can get to Holland quickly by bike (Bourtange is about 15 minutes away). We initially only planned to stay a few days, but ended up staying a whole week. The lake is about a 10-minute walk away and... is popular with young people (wave board facility). Sanitary facilities were sufficient and always clean despite the large number of people. There is a children's toilet for small people. The covered playground is great. If you want, you can use the bread roll service, which is also good value for money. There is also a mini supermarket in Heede. All in all, highly recommended and a top place for us.Automatisk oversat.

- Astrid H.maj 2013We were there in May 2013 with three families with a total of five children aged between five and eight. Everyone was delighted with the great covered playground, the very well-kept, clean site (including sanitary facilities) and the friendliness of the operators. The kiosk on the site only has a very... limited range of products (bread roll service), but it's not far to Heede (approx. 1.5 km; bakery, small supermarket, kebab shop) and Dörpen (approx. 5 km; Edeka, Aldi, Lidl, Marktkauf etc.), so you can still do your shopping easily by bike. Katharina R.maj 2012Family-run, very well-kept small campsite within walking distance of Lake Heeder with a beautiful sandy beach and water ski facilities. Many permanent campers, pitches not parceled out but large enough. Sanitary facilities very new, well-kept and clean. Pitches for youth groups in the front area. Nice... playgrounds for (small) children. Large sports field or football pitch at the back. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The covered pitch was therefore ideal. The pitches are always large enough. The only thing was the relatively small number of toilets. Piglets are everywhere. The owner couple are very nice and helpful. The campsite is still under construction, so not... everything is optimal yet (e.g. path layout), but the warmth of the operators and the interesting area make up for a lot.
