- Helmut O.May 2024PositiveLocation directly on the ElbeNegativThere is a regular train service nearby. One nightStayed on the site for one night, right on the Elbe.
The restaurant in the immediate vicinity offers good food for a fair price.
The welcome at reception was very warm.Automatisk oversat. - Thomas und Dorothea S.September 2023PositiveVery nice ambience with Hollywood swing on the terrace. Barbecue area and beautiful garden available. Excellent beds with bedside lamp. We slept perfectly.NegativNoneThree nights in a safari tentThe complex is beautifully situated in Königstein on the Elbe.
Very good starting point for beautiful hikes
(Bastei - Lilienstein - fortress).
Excellent service from Lutz and Annette
who are extremely friendly, warm and very helpful.
Washrooms and toilets very clean, directly opposite the safari tents....
Breakfast was also very good.
Dinner was also good, as was the Greek restaurant
in the village.
We will be back.

- Marion A.June 2022PositiveLocation, friendliness of the entire staff including the restaurant....super food and breakfast buffet.NegativnoneSuper campsiteWe (couple) spent the night in a wooden barrel...just brilliant...enough space for 2 adults with luggage (motorcycle gear).
Very quiet location, slept really well.
The entire campsite was very clean, including the sanitary facilities.
Very friendly staff, will definitely be back.
The breakfast was amazing, hardly any 4* hotel has such an offer....super tasty.Automatisk oversat. - Annett H.June 2022PositiveDirectly on the water and on the cycle pathNegativNarrow access road and very tight spaces. This leads to noise pollution.Somewhat cramped locationClean campsite right on the Elbe. Personally, it was too cramped for me, which of course also led to noise pollution. The upper pitches towards the guesthouse are not particularly well located. Direct location on the Elbe cycle path which is positive. The train is also on site. You have to know that the passenger train runs every half hour and in between the freight traffic.Automatisk oversat.
- Wolle W.May 2022PositiveA pitch directly on the banks of the ElbeNegativA little bit of the railroadBeautiful daysA nice campsite with friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, see you next timeAutomatisk oversat.
- Ralf H.April 2022PositiveSuper nice location directly unobstructed on the Elbe possible Public transportation ticket incl.NegativUnheated sanitary building, entrance too narrow for larger caravans and mobile homesLocation is everythingThe location is great, it couldn't be better.
Unheated sanitary building, therefore mold on the ceiling cannot be avoided despite ventilation, showers that do not work properly but cost money. The entrance is too narrow for larger caravans and mobile homes because there are parking spaces that are dangerous... for new arrivals. The entrance radius is far too small.
Perhaps the beautiful new Kemmlit partitions could have been fitted with suitable towel rails and a spirit level :-) The railroad right next to it has changed tracks, sometimes at 4 o'clock at night to end, to point this out would have been fair, the railroad has certainly informed all residents about it. The ticket for the fare zone Pirna to Bad Schandau is top of the range.Automatisk oversat. - Edmund S.September 2021PositiveThe operator is nice, everything else is not possible.NegativThe location in the immediate vicinity of the railroad - the trains run day and night at very short intervals - our motorhome vibrated, which is only possible if you are hearing impaired. Sleep is out of the question. The restaurant is understaffed, you have to get your own drinks and you don't always get food. A proud price for what you are offered, or rather, what you have to put up with for a lot of money. We are capable of learning and will certainly not go there again. The noise pollution is an imposition! The place would be nice if the train wasn't there.
With the noise level day and night, relaxation is out of the question.
This would not be permitted here at all.
It's noise pollution that makes you ill.Automatisk oversat. - Nadja W.August 2021PositiveNeat sanitary facilities, friendly reception + staff, bread roll service, possibility to borrow a barbecue, the staff help with any problemNegativRelatively narrow driveway, narrow (but longer) parking spaces, green areas could have been a little better maintained (mowed)Nice campsite with good facilities and beautiful locationWe stayed at the campsite on Treidlerweg for 4 nights. Our pitch was in the upper row, i.e. not directly on the Elbe, but still nice and green in one direction (the other direction was towards the road, which wasn't a problem for us). On the other hand, our pitch was only about 10-15m away from the sanitary... building. There you can fill up with fresh water, wash up, shower and use the toilets. All in all, I would describe the sanitary facilities as clean, although it goes without saying that the buildings are always a little dirtier when it rains. The pitches are otherwise relatively cramped, we were lucky with our pitch as it was relatively large, otherwise it could be a bit cramped with an awning. The campsite itself is nice and green. Only the rails above the pitch could be disturbing for noise-sensitive guests, but for us it was bearable and therefore fine. The reception is open late during the day and is always manned, you always get help and answers. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is a bread roll service and a small store where you can buy anything you need. The campsite is definitely recommended for a trip to Saxon Switzerland.Automatisk oversat.
- Uwe T.July 2021PositiveThe location, the clean sanitary facilities and the helpful staffNegativI can't think of anything.Gladly come againThe campsite is right on the Elbe.
We were right by the water, with a view of the Lilienstein.
You can go on wonderful excursions from here.
We visited the Bastei, the Kuhstall, Königstein Fortress and Stolpen Castle.
The towns of Königstein, Rathen and Bad Schandau also have their charms.
An extension... of 2 days was possible without any complications.
The staff are great, help even in complicated situations and friendliness is the top priority here.Automatisk oversat. - Sabine B.July 2021PositiveThe ElbeNegativExtremely loud and crampedToo narrow and too loudI can only advise against the back row. There are extremely loud freight trains all night and the pitches are extremely cramped.
When we asked, we were allowed further away from the train line.
In the row next to the tracks you would have to pay to stay there, an impertinence for more than 25,- a night.
Toilets were cleaned casually. KOAutomatisk oversat. - Ille L.October 2019PositiveDirectly on the Elbe and a 20-minute walk into the cityNegativShowers permanently occupied. Everything a bit worn out. Too expensive for the location. Nocturnal disturbance by train.Never againCharging 20 euros for an overnight stay in the parking lot - extra shower - extra electricity. In addition, false information. Right next to the railroad line where many trains pass through at night. The only things worth mentioning are the delicious bread rolls and the information tips.Automatisk oversat.
- Cornelia H.October 2019PositiveBeautiful surroundings, many leisure activitiesNegativPerhaps the railroad line (minimally disruptive)Super campsiteVery nice campsite right on the Elbe. Even the passing train could hardly spoil the impression! Very friendly staff, delicious breakfast in the restaurant, super clean sanitary facilities, large playground... Perfect for families!Automatisk oversat.
- Marion B.July 2019PositiveLocation Delicious rollsNegativSanitary concept and size should be reconsideredHad expected more...Sanitary building clearly too small. Only 2 of the 3 ladies' showers worked for 7 days. Also too few toilets. Sometimes no toilet paper, shower clogged etc. There was always something wrong. When we were told that external companies take over the cleaning of the sanitary facilities, someone should always... check that everything is in order. The sanitary facilities are not thought through to the end in many places. Too bad... because visually they are very nice. The pitches are very, very small, although all the dimensions were given in advance, the space was only enough for us because we were allowed to stay with the neighbor. The track didn't bother us, but that's a matter of preference. There is still room for improvement on this pitch.Automatisk oversat.
- Martin V.July 2019PositiveVery nice locationNegativToo narrow and very loudWC facility undersized, parking space much too smallWith 2 toilets for men far too few, showers only 3 for men 2 working for women available. Pitch size does not even allow chairs and table for 3 people between the vehicles.Automatisk oversat.
- Erik W.July 2019PositiveGreat and clean sanitary facilities.NegativTrain traffic and no WLAN on siteThe way I imagine a placeI used it for three nights and was very satisfied. Generally very quiet, I found the train traffic less disturbing. Some campers are much more disturbing.Automatisk oversat.
- Monika H.June 2019Positiveclean, central, very friendlyNegativnoneAbsolutely great price/performance ratio, super nice and courteous staffa small, very clean campsite, very nice staff, very clean sanitary facilities, bread roll service, central location, short distances, on the ElbeAutomatisk oversat.
- Martin T.June 2019PositiveLocation & panorama, cleanliness, hospitality, supply options on site, connection to cycle path, good hiking opportunitiesNegativHeavy noise from rail traffic, pitches too narrow, extra costs (coin-operated) for electricity, number and design of toilets.Difficult for more than 1-2 nights in high season.First the advantages: Location: The campsite is located directly on the banks of the Elbe with a wonderful panorama of Saxon Switzerland. Access is via a quiet and well-developed road (part of the Elbe cycle path). The Elbe cycle path runs in front of the campsite. The center of Königstein is 5 minutes... away by bike. From here you can easily start cycling tours or hikes to the numerous sights or towns. There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity - there should be something for every taste. Condition: The site is very well maintained - the operators obviously take care to keep it in very good condition even when it is fully booked. Furthermore, friendliness is very important here - we couldn't complain. The service is as uncomplicated as possible. There are various accommodation options on offer (tents, pitches, sleeping barrels, guest rooms, etc.). There is a kiosk on site that sells the necessary (and less necessary) items. You can also get maps here. Bread roll service is also available here. Disadvantages: Here too - the location: the railroad line runs about 20 meters behind the campsite. This is frequented by trains day and night at very short intervals. You don't need to be particularly sensitive to noise to find this very disturbing (especially at night). When a train passes by, you can no longer hear the other person. However, as there is a busy train line running through the entire Elbe valley in Saxon Switzerland (where else), this is not a site-specific disadvantage. But it remains a disadvantage. Furthermore: Extremely narrow pitches (something like this seemed impossible to me so far - some Wo Mo owners probably get claustrophobic). To be honest - in my opinion, there is no comprehensible reason for this. The neighboring campsite offers visibly larger pitches. Coin slot for electricity. Given the price for a pitch and the size, this approach does not speak in favor of the campsite. This is also the first time I have personally experienced this. The number of toilets is too low (when the site was full, it was sometimes necessary to stand in line). To be honest, I find the concept of accommodating urinals, toilet cubicles and showers in one room difficult - if you like, you can imagine what goes on there in the morning and the smell is not great either.Automatisk oversat.
- Florian J.June 2019PositiveRelatively new site Very child and dog friendly place. Baby bathtub Very clean sanitary facilities Dishes on site. And much more.NegativProximity to the railroad tracks. One could feel disturbed by this The proximity to the Elbe could be a minus for families with children.Tent, 1 toddler 1 baby +3 dogs - good overall package. The campsite is child and dog friendly. There are many facilities for families such as baby baths, showers for parents and children, changing rooms, a large adventure playground, table tennis and a volleyball court for young and old. The Elbefreizeitland is also right next door. The whole site is clean.... Crockery and cutlery are freely available. There are benches, swings and hammocks all over the site. There is also a barbecue available. Dogs are welcome here free of charge. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can start many hikes into Saxon Switzerland from here. We feel very comfortable here and it was not our last vacation here on the site.Automatisk oversat.
- Mathias K.June 2019We were there!First of all, very nice contact and great service. The pitch is a bit cramped and unfortunately it's right next to a train line. Otherwise you can't complain, it's definitely suitable for an overnight stay.Automatisk oversat.
