- Marco H.October 2024PositiveSmall and manageable; very clean sanitary facilitiesNegativLighting very sparseSmall campsiteWe only stayed at the campsite for one night. We didn't use the bread roll service or the restaurant. Very convenient with the motorhome, even right next to the permanent campers. It didn't bother us. The lighting in the evening was very sparse. In the evening over 100 crows flew over the site and made a hell of a racket. It was the same the next morning. Presumably the animals have their roosts nearby.Automatisk oversat.
- Corina H.September 2024PositiveProximity to the cityNegativ85 degree hot washing-up water, mowing on the plot even though I'm sitting thereEverything tiptopnice place, easily accessible and high recreational value
high price: 2 adults, 1 camper van pay 40€ per nightAutomatisk oversat. - Anja B.August 2024PositiveLovingly designed, spotlessly clean sanitary facilities Close to the city center, yet quiet Very friendly staffNegativWe have not found anyBeautiful campsite in the middle of SaarlouisThis small campsite is a great starting point, especially for cyclists. The Saar cycle path is within easy reach and Saarlouis is only a 10-minute walk away. The wash house is lovingly designed and very clean. There is a bread roll service and a wonderfully leafy beer garden (drinks only).
The pitches are large and almost all shady. The super-nice staff help with any questions.
We liked it very much, we'll be back 😊Automatisk oversat. - Jo L.June 2024PositivePlumbingNegativThe pitches are not marked and no electricity connection on the pitchNo defined pitchesThe pitches are not marked, which led to a situation where someone parked his camper so close to me that I could barely open my door. The owner acknowledged that she had made a mistake in assigning our place. For us reason to leave. This was mainly due to the rude reaction of the neighbor when I asked if he could move a meter.Automatisk oversat.
- Herbert O.September 2023PositiveSurroundings, proximity to the city, cleanlinessNegativI can't think of any.Camping in the parkA campsite embedded in a large park, surrounded by old trees, with sunny and shady pitches, clean sanitary facilities and all this in the city. Where else can you find something like this?
We felt very comfortable during our 10-day stay. The campsite is practically in the middle of the city, which has... many attractions. Everything there is within walking distance. The extensive park invites you to go for a walk, the city center offers a fantastic restaurant mile, and you can also find all the usual stores. You can go on wonderful bike tours along the Saar.
The site itself offers sufficiently large pitches, some of which are located between the permanent campers' pitches. However, this is completely unproblematic, and there was a good atmosphere during our stay.
The sanitary facilities are exceptional and lovingly decorated by the always friendly owner; they were always clean and well maintained. The reception with café and bistro is beautifully decorated with flowers.
A really beautiful place.Automatisk oversat. - Ralf S.August 2023PositiveCleanliness, proximity to the city, excursion possibilities.NegativI have to think about it for a long time....no, actually no disadvantagesA city campsite that isn't really a campsite.A city campsite that is not really a city campsite. So beautifully situated on an "island" directly on the city park, nice operators, clean sanitary facilities, close to the city, 10 min. walk. Yet extremely quiet. It doesn't get any better than this.Automatisk oversat.
- Andrea K.June 2023PositiveExtremely friendly, very accommodating boss. The BATHROOMS, I have never seen such clean sanitary facilitiesNegativNoneBeautiful place for sightseeingThis site is run with great attention to detail. We were so impressed with the sanitary buildings, everything has been thought of there!!! The owner offered us a place, although everything was actually full, and we only needed one night, but she was still willing to offer us something, and even a second night to see Saarlouis. Thank you very much!
If we are ever in the area again, we would love to come back to this campsite.Automatisk oversat. - Jürgen Z.June 2023PositiveEVERYTHING. Very nice and friendly operator everything spick and span really CLEAN. So close to the city center less than 10 minutes walk and we were in the city center. It couldn't be better.NegativWe liked everything.A very nice campsiteI have already said that. Very clean campsite, friendly operators, large pitches. There is nothing missing.Automatisk oversat.
- Harald W.May 2023PositiveCleanliness. Friendliness. Fantastic location to the city center. Wonderful camping flair.NegativNothing. Everything is fine.Great town squareA top place. Friendliness and cleanliness can't be beaten. We felt totally at home and even stayed an extra night. The sanitary facilities were a dream of cleanliness. Gladly againAutomatisk oversat.
- Angela und Klaus D.April 2023Positivegreat location at the city garden of Saarlouis; city center within walking distance, also for older people;Negativ000ideal, beautiful placeFor breakfast there are warm, tasty rolls, always with a cheerful welcome from Ms. Brech, who looks after her guests very personally! The site is rather quiet, it's easy to get into conversation with the permanent campers, and the nearby birdsong - from the crows/jackdaws rather than screaming - rounds off the feeling of well-being.Automatisk oversat.
- Holger G.July 2022PositiveEverything a camper needs is available in very good quality. Additional infrastructure is available within walking distance in the form of a food/construction and garden market, petrol station and the city center of Saarlouis. The sanitary facilities offer everything that is needed, always in a clean condition and of very good quality, even for the disabled. There is a rain-protected shelter for cyclists and motorcyclists. An all-round recommendable site.NegativWe have not detected any.A place where the soul of the Saarlanders can be feltIt is often the little things that make a campsite more attractive than others and this site is a good example of this. The creative hand of the friendly and always helpful operator couple is clearly visible in many places. Whether through the original design of the sanitary facilities, the color scheme... and painting of the exterior walls of the buildings on the site or the dance and bar room in the main and reception building, there is always a friendly, cheerful atmosphere that is infectious. The sociability of the mostly Saarland permanent campers, between which the pitches for the temporary guests are located in a loose row, also contributes to this.
Thanks to the proximity to the Saar (a boat landing stage for excursions is close by), the indoor swimming pool right next door and the beautiful city center of Saarlouis within walking distance, there is a wide range of leisure activities for all generations. In addition, the Saarland itself, as well as the two directly neighboring countries of France and Luxembourg, offer further tourist attractions and shopping opportunities.
All in all, a highly recommended campsite that is well worth a visit!Automatisk oversat. - Norbert S.July 2019PositiveClose to the city, cleanliness.NegativPermanent campers loudCP for many activitiesWe stayed at this campsite for 10 days. Ideal location for city visits. Many excursion possibilities in the surrounding area. Top sanitary facilities. A little more water points would be advantageous. Friendly operator couple. The only annoying thing is the loud permanent campers who don't know how to rest at midday.Automatisk oversat.
- Dagmar H.July 2019PositiveQuiet little placeNegativMaybe a little better grass.A nice quiet placeI can only recommend it. Super nice and friendly operators. Small but nice. Even if there are some permanent campers, it's close to the city and wonderfully quiet. We would love to come back. Also well suited as a transit campsite to France.Automatisk oversat.
- Torben H.October 2017PositiveLarge squares, city and shipping are within easy walking distanceNegativNo off-season prices, expensive garbage fees, key system for sanitary facilities, too few sinks (2)Autumn in SaarlandNice large pitches and everything you need is within easy walking distance. The sanitary facilities are very nice and lovingly furnished, although not very well thought out, e.g. there is no partition in the showers so that things get wet quickly. What I found annoying was that you always need a key... to get into the sanitary facilities. The reception is mirrored like an FBI building so that you can't see if it's occupied. There don't seem to be any fixed times here. Bread roll service or similar was also no longer available due to low season okay but then this should also be noticeable in terms of price. An extra garbage fee of 2 euros per day was also a first for us :-) Our conclusion to get to know Saarlouis was okay, we would not come back!Automatisk oversat.
- Ralf B.August 2017PositiveCity closeStopover in SaarlouisWe had a short stopover on the way home from France. The site is well suited for this. Sanitary facilities very good and all very clean. The rest of the site is a bit outdated (playground, connections). The owner is very friendly and the distance to the town and the Saar cycle path is short.Automatisk oversat.
- Agnes u. Burkhard W.June 2017PositiveEasy access, close to the city, good facilities and cleanliness, quiet and tidyNegativmore fresh water and waste water points would be a sensible investment for the futureQuiet and well-kept place near the city centerThe site is very easy to get to, is quietly located on an oxbow lake of the Saar and very close to the city center and the sights. The entire outdoor area is well equipped, well-kept and spacious. The sanitary facilities are comfortable and always very clean. Many facilities and the city center are just... a few minutes' walk away. The proximity to the World Heritage Site "Völklinger Hütte" is outstanding. The high proportion of permanent campers created a peaceful, family atmosphere.Automatisk oversat.
- Holger G.June 2017PositivePeace and quiet with extensive infrastructure within walking distanceNegativNone recognizableAgain and again with pleasure!A place you'll always want to come back to. Characterized by the pleasant style of the operators, the originally rather gym-like shower and toilet facilities have been transformed into attractive, modern sanitary facilities with many practical details. What's more, the pitches for transients are cleverly... integrated between pitches for permanent campers, which makes for a very pleasant atmosphere. In addition, the site is embedded in the green zone of the town of Saarlouis and yet offers everything imaginable in terms of infrastructure within a 10-minute walk, from the wholesale market to a diverse town center with a promenade, countless restaurants and show pubs, to the cinema and boat mooring from which day trips to the Saarschleife are offered. If you can't find anything entertaining, you can at least enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful campsite itself. The comparative price of currently 25 euros seems more than reasonable to us.Automatisk oversat.
- Martha H.October 2016PositiveSuper clean, bright sanitary facilities. Town within walking distance, good for shopping and eating out.Negativfor us noVery quiet and clean place close to the city, also suitable for dog owners. We arrived here on our way back to Switzerland. Small, friendly campsite. Very clean, bright and beautiful sanitary facilities. Comfortably furnished with lots of charm. A stone's throw from the highway. Nevertheless very quiet as it is located directly in the city park. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. We are happy to recommend this place, especially for travelers and dog owners. Senior couple from Switzerland.Automatisk oversat.
