- Regina P.June 2024PositiveExtremely friendly operators, very attentive, helpful and flexible. Absolutely quiet location, a wonderful place to relax. Electricity and water on site. Beautiful location on the Moselle. Wonderful bakery within walking distance, also sells very good sausages from a butcher, Very nice cycle path to Trier, along the Moselle. Restaurant at the campsite. Very clean and new sanitary facilities. Very good price-performance ratioNegativUnfortunately no grocery store within walking distance, except the bakery.Oasis of peace...We were absolutely happy at this beautiful campsite. From arrival to departure, everything was well maintained and in tip-top order. We would like to stay at such beautiful places more often. Very quiet, everything was wonderful, we felt very comfortable.Automatisk oversat.
- B S.September 2023PositiveDirectly on the Moselle, otherwise quietNegativToilets also for restaurant visitors and sometimes not clean after a long restaurant day and only cleaned the following day around 9-11am.Lunch break does not apply to junior manager, has to mow lawnGenerally quiet campsite directly on the Moselle with a restaurant. Has some minor weaknesses that could be remedied: Lawn mowing before 12 noon...
Lunchtime quiet according to the site rules from 12 - 2 pm, but arrival from 1 pm, doesn't fit either! And the grass on some pitches was no longer there... at the end of September, which led to mud when it rained or you have a good awning carpet.
Otherwise a good location on the Moselle, 3 km from the Luxembourg border.Automatisk oversat. - Ralf N.September 2023PositiveThe site is located directly on the Moselle! Approx. 8 km from Trier and approx. 4 km from Luxembourg. A family-run site. We received a very nice welcome from the junior manager (?) and were given a nice pitch. The site is well maintained and so are the sanitary facilities. There is even a restaurant on site! We were only there for one night, but we were very satisfied!!!NegativNoneDirectly on the MoselleVery nice place close to Trier and directly on the Moselle! And you can buy great wine. Highly recommended!Automatisk oversat.

Mr. Welch is a very friendly and very helpful owner. He gave us very good advice. There are very good bike paths e.g. to Trier or Saarburg and nearby Luxembourg. The site is very quiet and very clean. The sanitary facilities are cleaned every day. We were in good hands.NegativNoneVery nice campsiteVery nice campsite. Friendly and helpful owner. - Ralf E.May 2022PositiveLocation, friendly and helpful operatorsNegativ-Beautiful campsite directly on the Moselle cycle pathWe stayed at the campsite for a long weekend. Everything went very smoothly right from the advance reservation and the friendly impression was confirmed on arrival.
The pitches are large enough and all have electricity and water connections. The bread roll service works smoothly and the campsite is... only a short drive away.
-Luxembourg in 10 minutes (approx. 30 to the city)
-30 minutes to Trier
-60 minutes to Völklingen (Völklingen Ironworks World Heritage Site)
Apart from that, the site is located directly on the Moselle cycle path, so you can also explore the surrounding area by bike...Automatisk oversat. - D. C.May 2022PositiveLocation, friendliness, tranquillity, value for moneyNegativ/TOP camping with a prime locationTop campsite, located directly on the Moselle. Only about 20 tourist pitches, so it's better to book in advance. The site is very quiet, only the Moselle cycle path separates it from the river and every road is far away. The pitches are large enough and all have electricity and water connections. The... sanitary facilities are perfectly OK and always very clean. Showers cost 1€/4 min. The adjoining camping restaurant is cheap, very popular and offers delicious, simple meals - with the best "Moselle view terrace". The prices are really reasonable at around €23/p.n. for 1 camper van/2 people (including showers). Here you can really relax with numerous cycling and hiking opportunities in the Moselle/Saar/Sauer valley and the adjacent vineyards. 1a!Automatisk oversat.
- Hubert G.April 2022PositiveQuiet site on the Moselle Clean sanitary facilities Good food in the restaurant friendly staff good valueNegativnoneQuiet place on the Moselle, clean sanitary facilities, friendly and inexpensiveWe decided to stop off here on our way home from Paris because of the beautiful location and were immediately given a friendly welcome and shown to the site.
We then chose various dishes from the fairly clear menu in the adjoining restaurant and all were delicious and reasonably priced.
We enjoyed the... quiet night here after the hustle and bustle and traffic noise in Paris.
The sanitary facilities were very clean.
Four of us paid a third of the price here for the night that we had to pay in Paris for noisy and dirty places, so very good value here and highly recommended - we will be happy to return.Automatisk oversat. - Reiner K.June 2021PositiveSuper location, delicious food in the beer garden, directly on the Moselle cycle pathNegativNoneBeautiful place on the MoselleBeautiful small campsite.
Super location directly on the Moselle and the Moselle cycle path.
You can get to Trier or Saarburg quickly by bike.
Friendly campsite warden.
Delicious food in the beautiful beer garden.
Sanitary facilities were closed due to Corona.
We can only recommend the place.Automatisk oversat. - Brigitte D.September 2019PositiveVery nice location directly on the Moselle.Negativsee above. The first and last stayOur last vacation trip also took us to the campsite in Igel on the Moselle, which is in a very beautiful location. It has to be said that, as is unfortunately so often the case, the best pitches (with a view of the Moselle) are reserved exclusively for so-called permanent campers. The pitches for tourist... campers are kept very simple. Electricity is available from a rickety power box, fresh water from a tap for all tourist campers. You will look in vain for a gray water disposal point. The chemical toilet sink is located right next to the outside washbasin, separated only by a small partition. However, this leads to some contemporaries disposing of their gray water in the sinks. An absolutely disgusting affair. There is a washing machine, but no tumble dryer. We also found the notice on the showers that an energy-saving shower system had been introduced irritating - 4 min. hot water, €1.00. The shower money machine hangs in front of the cubicle, no consumption display. - Visible investments have not been made here for the campers for a long time. We will not be staying at this campsite again.Automatisk oversat.

- Martin H.April 2019PositiveVery friendly operator. Very friendly staff. Close to the Moselle. Good cycling opportunities. Close to Trier and Luxembourg.NegativNo fresh bread rolls on site, but you can get them by bike in 10 to 20 minutes.Absolutely recommendableVery friendly operators, cozy restaurant, terrace directly on the Moselle. Moselle cycle path leads directly past. Sanitary facilities very clean despite many external and camping guests. Slight traffic noise from the main road and railroad line further away. But it didn't bother us.Automatisk oversat.
- Stefan Ludwig M.October 2018PositiveWell-kept place, nice staff, many leisure activitiesNegativNone worth mentioningVery positiveWell-kept site in a pleasant location for all kinds of activities. Despite it being October, our pitch was outside the campsite, but that didn't detract from the overall experience. There was also water and electricity and plenty of space. The staff are very friendly and the sanitary facilities are clean... and well equipped. The site makes a thoroughly pleasant impression. I wouldn't describe the site as really quiet, you can hear the nearby train just like the busy road on the other side of the Moselle. Nevertheless, it would be difficult to find a quieter site on the Moselle. We loved the restaurant. There was even Oktoberfest beer on tap and the chicken flutters are amazing. Very friendly staff there too. Igel has thus become a destination that we will certainly visit again. The Igeler Säule restaurant is a local recommendation.Automatisk oversat.

- Joachim F.July 2018PositiveSee commentNegativNoneGreat campsiteWe spent a few days in Igel for the second time on our way back from the north. A great, small campsite with an excellent location directly on the Moselle. Excellent for cycling and hiking. For example, Luxembourg Switzerland (Mullerthal Trail) is only a few kilometers away and can be easily combined... with a worthwhile "refueling stop". Mr. Welsch, the owner, is extremely helpful and friendly. Not to forget: The menu in the restaurant may not be long, but the food is all the better. You can also watch ships or water skiers on their first attempts for free...Automatisk oversat.
- Ottmar P.July 2018PositiveGood place, nice staff, inexpensive, close to Luxembourg.NegativNo bread service, but bakery 500m around the corner. No pitches on the shore, as permanent campers. We liked it very muchBeautifully situated, quiet site. Directly on the Moselle. Trip to Luxembourg a stone's throw away. Cheap refueling, expensive food (LU). Restaurant not for gourmets. Rather inexpensive good cuisine. Very friendly staff, we felt comfortable and got to know very nice people.Automatisk oversat.
- Klaus G.May 2018PositiveNice clean place, ideal for cycling tours along the Moselle, Saar and Sauer, close to TrierNegativNoneIdeal for leisure cyclistsThe site is beautifully situated on the Moselle. The neatly sized pitches are on a green meadow. The sanitary facilities are good and clean. For leisure cyclists like us, the site is an ideal starting point for cycling tours along the Moselle, Saar and Sauer rivers or to Trier. The campsite restaurant is simple and good with wonderful outdoor seating on the banks of the Moselle. All in all, a very nice campsite.Automatisk oversat.
- Frank L.May 2018Cozy placeEverything was fine. Very nice operator. Very cozy place to relax. Sanitary clean and ok. The pitches are large and well laid out. The restaurant on site offers good food at very reasonable prices.Automatisk oversat.
- Melanie B.May 2018PositiveLate arrival possible, everything very uncomplicated. Everything well maintained and cleanNegativSmoking in the passageway by the toilets. Everything gets in there. I found it unpleasant.Nice place with nice operatorsBecause I still had to work, we arrived very late. But that was no problem at all. We let them know by phone, they are all very nice and friendly. Especially for us as new campers very pleasant. Toilets and showers are clean and perfectly fine. You can also eat well there.Automatisk oversat.
