When someone finally came who could have allocated me a pitch, I was allocated a gravel pitch when I asked for a small pitch for my one-person tent! The staff was very friendly but as the check-in and check-out is still done with paper, there were queues. We had to wait 20 minutes to check out
There are definitely not enough sanitary facilities. You were always under pressure to use the toilet when the frequency... was low.
Our pitch was basically okay, but if you have to maneuver 4 times with a camping bus until you come out you can imagine the size.
The sunbathing lawn was not particularly well maintained, I have seen much better ones along the Chiemsee that were public
And finally, the subject of costs. We paid 66.50 euros per night.
Including a 25 euro reservation fee and visitor's tax.
That's pretty hefty. Even with the increased costs, we can't understand it

So far the price has always been okay.
During our visit at the end of June, we discovered that a night for 2 people including a €25 deposit, which was not charged, cost €51!!!! This is definitely too expensive for this campsite: only 2 showers and toilets... each, no pool, no entertainment, restaurant closed 2 days a week. We don't attach any importance to entertainment and pool, but at this price a wellness area would be appropriate. The Acsi-Card is no longer valid at the end of June.Automatisk oversat. - V. und P. The facilities (e.g. lounge in the restaurant) and the decorations were certainly nice once, but are getting on in years. The restaurant garden is beautifully situated and the food is good. His attitude didn't change on the following days either.
On the homepage you can read: "We look after our guests personally and always have an open ear ................ I didn't notice anything of this. Due to a very bad toothache,... I asked at reception for information about a dentist in Chieming. The terse reply was that I would have to look it up on the Internet. After the emergency treatment, I would have had to return home for follow-up care. However, as we would have had to pay the full amount for the reserved period, we stayed for a few more days and then paid for the whole duration. I wanted to talk to the manager about this; she was in Greece, was the answer.
A card payment should be possible in such a place nowadays; would be a service to the customer.
A place to take fresh water is an imposition for such a site. - Uwe M.September 2022Positivethe situationNegativEverything far too cramped and disorganizedNot recommended much too tightIf you can survive the narrow lane on the way to the campsite without damaging your vehicle, and are still able to turn your caravan or motorhome on a beer mat and sit on your neighbor's lap, this is the place for you.
Pitches (50 - 110 square meters) although I couldn't find a pitch with 110 square... meters, our own was under 40 square meters (for a 7.5m motorhome).
The boss of the whole thing is called "Chaos" which starts with the site briefing and ends with the attempt to eat lunch.
You get the feeling that all the staff are completely overwhelmed or indifferent.
Example: When asked "can we have lunch and sit inside because it's raining", the answer was a clear "YES".
Shortly before we fell asleep at the table because no one from the staff showed up, we left with an empty stomach.
The sanitary facilities are OK according to the overall condition.
Cell phone reception (no matter which network) is very poor and you shouldn't expect anything from the campsite's own WLAN.
However, I find it very cheeky that the 25 euro "reservation fee/processing fee" is not offset against the fee for the pitch.
We were only here for 2 days, one day would have been enough.
The Chiemsee and the location are beautiful but unfortunately the pitch is not.

Dieter B.July 2022PositiveThe location directly on the lake and the tranquillity of natureNegativUnfriendly, very poor German-speaking staff, very high prices, e.g. (pitch incl. 2 people, electricity and water/shower €42.50) not worth it, a 0.5l beer for €4.20, scoop of ice cream €1.50. Narrow access road (but doable) Narrow space, few and narrow showers, beer garden closes at 8.30 pm. The decoration that gave the place a certain coziness years ago is broken or dirty, according to the homepage existing chess set is not available, pedal boat rental does not take place, playground does not deserve the name (2 swings and a slide standing in the dirt). Many dirty corners, garden railroad in the restaurant out of order. After cleaning, the toilet facilities were under water for half the day.Disappointing Homepage should be urgently revised.Unfortunately we were blinded by the homepage and some of the reviews.
There was certainly a time when the place was nice and cozy, but unfortunately this is over.

The access road is a single lane for the last approx. 350 m. If there is oncoming traffic, you must back up. If you are anxious, an accompanying person should make sure the road is clear.
You will then be rewarded with a quiet site and a... great, family atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are not very large, but in our experience they are adequate and, above all, always clean!
The site is obviously not only very popular with us, so it can get a bit crowded in the high season.
The location away from the hustle and bustle directly on the lake is simply fantastic. The Chiemsee cycle path passes close by.
The site has a nice little restaurant with a very inviting terrace.

The site itself is quite nice. We had a pitch on the edge, it's quite narrow in the middle. The reception is only staffed by one... English-speaking employee, who was often totally overwhelmed.
The free W LAN only works near the reception.
The wash house for the men is quite new, the one for the ladies is not. It is clean but there are only 2 working sinks and blow drying is NOT allowed in the wash house. There is no way to dry your hands at the washbasins. Car should stand separately, but few parking spaces available.Camping vacationThe campsite is in a very beautiful location. The lake is easily accessible and very shallow. The staff leaves a lot to be desired because nobody can speak German and is very unfriendly, at least the staff at reception. Food was ok, but often served incorrectly due to communication problems. You can... only pay in cash, which is unusual and certainly not allowed. The manager was only rarely to be seen, otherwise you could only turn to the foreign staff. Hair was not allowed in the sanitary facilities, nobody said why. Some of the taps did not work. There was no garbage can for leftover food at the sinks. The campsite is not suitable for young people because all the pitches are very close together and partying is not possible as the neighbor is right next door.Automatisk oversat.

Large caravans and larger motorhomes over 6m are out of place. On the last 250m at the access road, one of the two must drive back in oncoming... traffic. Here it is advisable to send a co-driver with a cell phone ahead on foot and drive the section after consultation.
The site operator is great and very helpful. Due to the tight conditions, she can bring caravans to the site with a wheel loader if necessary.
The best way to go shopping is to cycle about 1.5 km into town. The pitches provided were not nearly big enough despite prior notification. Those responsible were unwilling to compromise. The pitch was massively overcrowded. The alternative pitch was dark and wet. WLAN no longer available there. The toilets were only sparsely cleaned... despite corona regulations. No ventilation in the showers. All campers were allowed into the showers although they were actually only allowed for "non self-sufficient campers". EVERYONE had to sign this in advance. Nobody checked this. When asked about the problem, the boss gets loud.
The traffic light regulations in the showers are constantly disregarded.
We were actually happy to have found a place, as the original plans could not be realized due to the crisis. Unfortunately, this place was an imposition.
Even the direct access to the lake didn't help. The weather was miserable (THERE'S NOTHING THE PLACE CAN DO) but the showers weren't heated.
-For the whole place ONE (!!!) fresh water point !!!
-No safety distances at all
-Campers should not set up too much, as other campers can drive out of the second row.
