Beautiful, quiet camping meadow This was our 2nd time at the Seehof for a short break with a tent and we were completely happy and satisfied again! The location is great - so close to the water and you can walk straight away on the "Möwenweg" to the Birk. The tent meadow is separated by a high hedge, quiet and protected behind the motorhome pitches, behind it there are only wide meadows and from one corner there's even a sea view. We were here both times outside the vacation season, when there were hardly any other tents and we had a free choice of pitches. Very nice operators, we felt welcome straight away. The sanitary facilities were always clean and the small kiosk served bread rolls in the morning (to order). All the people there are very nice. I will continue to come here because we are not as demanding as others, we find it cozy here, like at home.Automatisk oversat.

Good value for moneyNegativnoneUncomplicated campsite in a great locationWe have been coming back to the Seehof for many years because we like both the campsite and the area so much. The Geltinger Bucht and Geltinger Birk, the proximity to the Schlei and the beautiful open Baltic Sea are simply fantastic. The campsite doesn't have many bells and whistles. But that's exactly... what we like about it. On arrival, the site seems to be dominated by permanent campers. Most of the tourist pitches are at the back of the campsite, which is unfortunately also the furthest away from the beach. However, there are beautiful meadows with plenty of space and the walk to the beach is not really far. The sanitary facilities, which were criticized in some comments, have now been renovated. There is now also a small but modern wash house in the rear area by the tourist pitches. There is also a great table tennis room. There is a small kiosk with the essentials and a bread roll service. The walk there along the beautiful Baltic Sea is one of the most beautiful ever. All in all, we still really like the Seehof. We like the fact that it's not so "fancy". The location made a good impression in advance, and we've been big fans of the whole area around Kappeln and Gelting for years. However, we had hoped for more from the campsite itself. As is unfortunately often the case here, the pitches are in rows, like in... a parking lot. They are also quite close together. Unfortunately, the tourist pitches at the back lack atmosphere. Some of the pitches themselves are uneven, which can be very annoying when camping. After a few days, we moved to the tent meadow at the edge of the field. This is probably more of a makeshift solution when there is a lack of space, but here you had a lot more "air" and this unparceled location was very nice. The biggest drawback was the sanitary facilities. The sanitary and toilet block at the front entrance is getting on in years, but ok. There is a separate toilet block at the back for the tourist pitches. Although this looks quite new from the outside (see photos on the website), the interior is long past its prime. Still stand-up toilets, with brownish tiles and old square washbasins. The showers don't look any better. Unfortunately, there was often only cold water here despite the shower tokens, as there are probably constant problems with the heating system. Apart from the age, there was always a VERY unpleasant smell in this sanitary building (probably a mixture of years of chemicals and ...). There was a room for washing dishes, which hardly made a better impression. Very big disadvantage: In this sanitary house, apart from 1 tiny hand wash basin by the toilets, there are no wash basins, e.g. for brushing teeth etc. VERY UNACCEPTABLE and completely incomprehensible. People then used the disabled WC or the baby changing room (each with 1 washbasin) in rows. The walk to the front sanitary block is comparatively long (without a bike), too long for brushing your teeth once... There is no playground or similar for children anywhere on the site. The store at the entrance is very nicely done, with bread rolls, fresh cake, magazines etc. The staff are very friendly.Automatisk oversat.

We were looking for peace and relaxation and found it. We will be back ...... :-))) Ideal for hiking in the Birk, which is practically around the corner.
