- Brigitte M.August 2023PositiveSurroundings and locationNegativMainly used by groups, so the background noise lasts into the night.StopoverWe used the site as a stopover before visiting Bamberg. Terraced pitches, quite spacious. Small pond at the tent meadow with playground. Sanitary facilities at the entrance, quite modern with large showers and rain shower head. We had a pitch at the back, quite a long walk. A steep, narrow staircase... leads directly to the sanitary facilities and reception. Bread roll service (very expensive) Reception not manned, only by telephone. Treetop walk only 1 km. Easy to reach by bike.Automatisk oversat.
- Jörg S.June 2022PositiveLarge pitches, beautiful natural swimming pool (for a fee) within walking distance, great for cycling or hiking, bread roll service, restaurant on siteNegativLittle to no employment opportunities for older teenagers (12-15 years)Beautiful campsite in great surroundingsA really nice campsite with a great location. Waldwipfelweg Steigerwald within walking distance (40 minutes) or easy to reach by bike (15 minutes). Super nice natural swimming pool which is run by a few locals. Campsite also suitable for groups, no disturbance of the peace at night!Automatisk oversat.
- Mats R.June 2022Positiveclean, quiet, lots to do for the childrenNegativOur first seat was unfortunately double booked, we then got another one. Otherwise everything was great.Great vacation, the whole family was thrilled, children happyWe spent our first family camping vacation at this campsite and had a very nice time. The site was clean and well-kept, water and electricity were available directly at the site. The sanitary buildings were clean, intact and in good condition. We didn't visit the restaurant, but it looked quite good.... There is a natural swimming pool in the immediate vicinity (200m), which is also supposed to be good (we didn't visit this either)
On the site itself there is a large playground with various equipment, lots of space for the children to run around, some animals (chickens, rabbits) and a fishing pond, which invites you to go fishing, but is also fun for the children. There are wooden rafts with which the children can sail across the lake/pond.
Our children were busy all the time and were exhausted and exhausted every evening. That's how it should be!Automatisk oversat. - Guido H.June 2022PositiveVery quiet location Good location due to quick accessibility thanks to fast connection to the A3 - Geiselwind exitNegativThe 2nd sanitary facilities located at the end of the pitch were very unkempt/unclean. A separation between men and women (urinals here) would also be better hereWhitsun 2022 - Three beautiful days for hikingI made a last-minute request for the Whitsun weekend in 2022 and immediately got a place.
I asked for a tent pitch with electricity, got a caravan pitch and then only paid for the tent pitch.
Nice extras with fire bowl + wood and bread roll service were possible.
The site manager regularly checked to make sure everything was okay.Automatisk oversat. - Uli W.April 2022PositiveLocation Proximity to nature Friendliness of the operator Leisure facilitiesNegativLimited shopping facilities in EbrachSomething to relax and be activeWe liked the leisure facilities and friendliness of the operator as well as the location close to nature - in summer there is also an outdoor pool next door. The treetop path, the hiking and cycling trails (old railroad line towards Bamberg) are inviting, there are also many quickly accessible destinations... by car (Bamberg, Nuremberg, Würzburg and other smaller centers). Cafés, pubs and butchers in the village are good, but unfortunately there are not (or no longer) more options for shopping. Playground for children and the stream are attractive. Sanitary facilities could be a bit tight in summer when fully occupied, but were clean and well maintained. Pitches of different sizes. Bread delivery service on the pitch, but you can also get there quickly by bike.Automatisk oversat.
- Peter W.September 2021PositiveThe rural idyllNegativNone recognizedGood place in the SteigerwaldBy chance I ended up in the Steigerwald and found this place!
A quiet place in a similarly situated village.
Situated in the middle of the rural idyll of the Steigerwald. A very well-kept site with modern and clean sanitary facilities and friendly staff. A restaurant on the site is said to be very good,... but was unfortunately closed during our visit.
The site is generously parceled out with electricity and water. The price-performance ratio is okay. There is a small pond in the grounds and a natural swimming pool (unfortunately already closed for seasonal reasons when we visited).
There is a magnificent monastery church in the village, which is more like a cathedral and which you would expect to find in a metropolis, but hardly in a place as small as Ebrach! Very worth seeing!Automatisk oversat. - S G.September 2020PositiveThe location is very idyllic and there are plenty of opportunities for children up to the age of 10 to keep themselves occupied. Small campfires in a fire bowl, for example, are permitted. Bread roll service and, in my opinion, very well-kept sanitary facilities.NegativThe friendliness of the owner that we had read about on the internet was unfortunately not confirmed. Extremely impersonal treatment. You really had the feeling that you were a nuisance. Drives his rounds in the evening and collects money, you don't get an explanation either, so that I went to the registration desk several times without success and stood in front of a locked door every time. Only on the last evening did he pull out the card reader. But what the heck, you don't have to marry him 😃Beautiful campsite in the middle of nature. We had a so-called sleeping barrel.
It was to our satisfaction. You have plenty of space in the barrel as well as behind it to spread out. The mattresses are also clean and the barrel itself is in good, clean condition.Automatisk oversat. - Jochen K.July 2020PositiveThe peace and quiet, the surroundings and the proximity to the swimming poolNegativThe owner of the campsite doesn't care much about the guests, it's hard to find him; the other vacationers running right past our vehicleOnce is enoughThis place is not recommended from our point of view. We have never experienced anything so impersonal. Even if it is Corona times, you can behave more friendly as a groundsman. Our pitch was misused as a passageway to the sanitary building. Even when the awning was up, both children and adults walked... through it. No trace of a private atmosphere. We didn't even have the opportunity to complain to the owner - he was never to be found. Thank goodness there is a nice outdoor pool nearby where you can eat and drink. The owner of the campsite should take a leaf out of the book when it comes to the friendliness of the staff at this pool.
The area is very beautiful, you can go on great hikes.
If we were to come to this area again, we would only stay on the motorhome pitch.Automatisk oversat. - Monika G.June 2020PositiveMet very nice people, great location in the Steigerwald, very nice natural poolNegativPlots are very open, too little shade, permanent campers take some getting used to, better to use the motorhome parking space and shower in the natural pool (with good coffee on the terrace)Great location, you don't necessarily need a campsiteWe were here for a short stopover on our way to Upper Bavaria. The campsite is in a beautiful location and the village with the old monastery complex is also picturesque. There are beautiful walks in the surrounding area. On the way back, we'll stop off again, but then only at the camper van site by the natural swimming pool right next to the campsite.Automatisk oversat.
- Jens R.September 2019PositiveBeautiful places, quiet, friendly close to the place UnbureaucraticNegativToilets could be better maintainedOne overnight stayWe spontaneously stayed one night and explored the campsite the next morning, and were really surprised at the potential this place has.Automatisk oversat.
- Roger B.June 2019NegativAnnoying music from the permanent campersVery nice placeA beautiful, fine site surrounded by greenery. Everything you need is on the pitch. It's quite big, which I really like. Nice operators! The toilets are clean and you don't need a shower token to shower. WLAN is available for a fee and there was sufficient reception on my pitch. There is a very nice... swimming pool right next to the campsite. A bakery is also within easy reach. You can be there in a minute by bike. On foot in about 10 minutes. It is exactly 1 km. Otherwise you can also use the bread roll service. The permanent campers' radio is annoying. The radio was playing right next to the sanitary building even when the campers were not present. That doesn't have to be the case. The site is suitable for dog owners. Beautiful surroundings for walking or cycling. I was satisfied and will be back.Automatisk oversat.
- Christiane H.May 2019PositiveNice uncomplicated operatorNegativNo important ones !Very gladly againBeautiful natural campsite with clean sanitary facilities. Uncomplicated and very nice operator. Definitely recommended 👍Automatisk oversat.
- Roland G.March 2019PositiveLocationNegativSanitary urgently in need of renovationGreat location but otherwise a lot is missingPlace is very nice and quiet. Sanitary clean, but urgently in need of renovation! As requested, the things that we think urgently need to be done: Replace defective tiles in the toilet and shower, renew silicone joints (missing partly at the transition from the floor to the wall), door in the ladies toilet to the shower is defective, chemical sink does not meet the standard .Automatisk oversat.
- Max H.August 2017PositiveFriendly, uncomplicated, very good sanitary facilities! Water and electricity directly available at many pitchesNegativQuite small, too open plots.pretty good, with flawsAn interesting place in terms of its geographic location. Many excursion destinations are within easy reach. A very attractive natural swimming pool is right next door. The owner and especially the groundskeeper are very friendly. Everything runs smoothly. Very good sanitary facilities. Excellent washing-up... facilities, real XXL showers and toilets. There are very detailed site rules, which unfortunately were not adhered to by too many campers (one-way rule during our stay). The manager didn't seem to care either, at least I didn't notice anything. I found the pitches a bit too narrow, and there were almost no dividing hedges. There is hardly any real privacy. Advantage, very few permanent campers!Automatisk oversat.
- Miriam H.June 2017a very nice, quiet campsiteThe campsite is beautifully situated in the countryside and we had plenty of peace and quiet. The sanitary facilities are great, the showers are very spacious. The pitches had their own water connection, which is of course very convenient, and they are quite large. We would love to come again.Automatisk oversat.
- Karin M.September 2016PositiveFew frills. Pure camping! Good highway connection. Very nice location.NegativA small cafe/meeting place right on the square with small snacks would be nice.Pure natureRelatively unspoiled CP in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Steigerwald. Everything you need can be found in the village. Super friendly and helpful operator! Ideal for children (and adults) who are still enthusiastic about adventures in nature.Automatisk oversat.
- Thomas H.May 2016PositiveConveniently located --> Freizeit Land Geiselwind about 15km, Baumwopfelpfad Ebrach about 1.5km.NegativNo supply options, hardly any shade.Provisional impressionThe place looks like it has only just opened, everything looks a bit provisional. Very few shady spots. No catering facilities, but very good restaurants nearby.Automatisk oversat.
- Amy G.October 2015PositiveNice facilityNegativNo cateringNice little placeVery pretty and well-kept site with a friendly welcome. The spacious pitches are unfortunately somewhat sloping, so that ramps are not sufficient to compensate. No catering on site. As the swimming pool was already closed, you couldn't buy anything at the kiosk there either. The nearby grounds of the former Cistercian monastery are well worth a visit.Automatisk oversat.
- Matthias E.August 2015PositiveClean, quiet, friendly and inexpensive. Large pitches with electricity and waterNegativunfortunately no catering on site except bread service, kiosk from the swimming pool about 100 m away. But it was not a disadvantage for us.Vacation 08/15There are pitches with electricity and water, as well as tent pitches only. We were there for 5 days and there was always enough choice of pitches to choose from. The pitches are spacious for tents (4 people), cars and enough space for sitting and barbecuing. Swimming pool is in the immediate vicinity... and is recommended. Bread roll service available, the stores (bakery, butcher) and the local gastronomy (old train station with dining car) are within 10-15 minutes walking distance, many excursion destinations (amusement park Geiselwind 10 km, Bamberg about 25 km etc.) nearby. The children's playground is very large and there is plenty of space for the children to run around. You can go rafting on the lake (my son, aged 5, loved it). In the evening you can watch crayfish in the stream :-) . Mr. Lederer always has a good tip about the surrounding area and discount tickets for the Geiselwind amusement park.Automatisk oversat.
- Wolfgang S.May 2015PositiveClean and quiet campsite Cycling and hiking excursions can be undertaken directly from the campsiteNegativno bread roll service or sale on site, if you want to see that as a disadvantage.Family-friendly campsiteQuietly situated terraced campsite with a dedicated owner. Very clean sanitary facilities with spacious showers. Beautiful, gently sloping pitches with grassy vegetation; also ideal for campers. Child-friendly site. Natural swimming pool in the immediate vicinity of the site. Shopping facilities in Ebrach are just under a kilometer away on foot and can also be easily reached by bike.Automatisk oversat.
