- Bernd H.June 2024PositiveLocation, Sanitary facilities, Parking space, WifiNegativPoor bread roll service for older people, Dogs are severely restricted, no shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity, restaurant on site overpriced.Nice campsite with room for improvementApart from the overpriced restaurant at the entrance to the site, it was a great stay there. We had a great pitch with our motorhome. The sanitary facilities were also well maintained and the showers had additional hand showers. The site is reasonably sheltered behind the dunes. Unfortunately, the bread... roll service only works with a cell phone and is not feasible for older people. There are certainly simpler solutions. Unfortunately, there are also no shopping facilities on the site. You have to walk about 3 km to the next village. We recommend a seal tour with the shipping company "De Vriendschap", which is approx. 800 m awayAutomatisk oversat.
- Heike W.October 2023PositiveLocation in the dunes and in nature, design of the site, clean, modern and comfortable sanitary facilities, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, size of the pitches, pricing, bread roll service, proximity to the beach, disabled access, well suited for guests with dogsNegativPitches very wet in heavy rainPeace in the dunesAll in all, this comfortable site is very suitable for nature lovers seeking peace and quiet. As the pitches for guests with and without dogs are separate, neither can disturb the other. Shopping facilities are available in the next village a few kilometers away.Automatisk oversat.
- Pia A.October 2023PositiveThe proximity to the beach and the size of the pitchesNegativNoneFantastic pitch also for the big WomosThe campsite is a dream! Our pitch was right by the beach access. The distance to the beach was super short and there was always a fantastic view of the lighthouse. Also great for large camper vans!!!! We will definitely be back!!!Automatisk oversat.
- Patrick F.September 2023PositiveGreat place, great nature, great peopleNegativNothingGaaaaally relaxed 😎We stayed here for 2 weeks with our camper. We were very lucky with the weather, the neighbors and the campsite operators. When it rains, the site unfortunately gets muddy. But that's complaining on an extremely high level 😊Automatisk oversat.
- Wolfgang W.June 2023PositiveThe site is very clean and structured and the location in the nature reserve with the proximity to the beach is almost unbeatable.NegativThe food: a classy and high-priced restaurant like the RJ doesn't really fit in with a campsite. Even the weekly fry-up on Saturday evening can't save it. Also: the men's toilets smelled of sewage during the whole stay.Beautiful place in a great locationWe are North Sea lovers and for our first stay on Texel we chose Duinpark De Robbenjagger.
A good decision (see + reviews) despite the disadvantages.
We are determined to come back. Important: reserve in good time, as the site is pleasantly clear and apparently has many repeat visitors.Automatisk oversat. - Thomas B.September 2022PositiveThe peace and quiet and the proximity to the beach.NegativPerhaps the operators could be a little friendlier!Very nice placeA really nice site with good, clean sanitary facilities.
All pitches are divided into groups and separated by hedges.
Absolutely great for cyclists and hikers. Gasi also go with dog without any problems.
I think the catering on the site is excessive. Campers don't want star food! At least not
always. I can warmly recommend the KapNoord beach restaurant.
Booking by e-mail is recommended.
Texel is wonderful and we would love to come back.Automatisk oversat. - Sven F.June 2022PositiveLocation, cleanliness, friendlinessNegativToo few garbage cans in the sanitary areaDe Robbenjäger a dream right on the beachThe campsite is perfectly located. Right in the dunes and only a few meters to the sea. A dream! The pitches are large enough, very well maintained and each has its own electricity and water connection. The sanitary area was always clean and tidy. However, a few more garbage cans could be installed here.... The staff were always friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place to spend a vacation and can therefore be recommended without reservation. Thank you for the pleasant time :-)Automatisk oversat.
- Diana W.May 2022PositivePitch size, very nice locationNegativMaximum shower time 6 minutesRest and relaxationThis campsite is very beautiful and very secluded. We had a very well-kept and large pitch. The perfect place for rest and relaxation. Unfortunately, the shower time is limited to 6 minutes (not enough for women with long hair) No kiosk, but bread service.
Beautiful areaAutomatisk oversat. - Lutz H.October 2021Positivesheltered, large pitches for caravans Always clean sanitary facilities, friendly staff at reception beautiful, newly renovated restaurantNegativnone :-)For us the best campsite in TexelWe stayed at DE ROBBENJAGER with our caravan for a long weekend.
Although it doesn't really need to be mentioned separately, I would like to thank the staff who always make sure that the sanitary facilities are always clean!
The newly renovated restaurant is a delight.
The pitches are on well-kept lawns... and are large enough.
The location of the campsite, directly on the endless wide beach, is also unique.
As always, we felt very comfortable at DE ROBBENJAGER and have already booked our next trip for EASTER next year.Automatisk oversat. - Marc B.July 2021PositiveSpacious complex. Direct access over the dunes to the sea. Only one dog allowed. Good restaurant on site, upmarket price range.NegativEquipment and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities.De Robbenjager with major cutbacksThe site is beautifully situated with direct access to the sea. No bathing beach. Danger to life due to strong currents. Unfortunately there is no good infrastructure. The nearest shopping facilities are in the village, approx. 3 km away. No path for pedestrians, you walk partly along the main road.... The toilets are completely unsatisfactory, very basic facilities, no privacy, open at the top and bottom, partitions made of "plastic cardboard". Number of men's toilets 6, 1 urinal, 1 hand basin, 4 men's showers, for the whole site. From 10 a.m. until the first cleaning at lunchtime, only usable with disgust due to soiling. The same applies to the showers, simple design and equipment. Showering is allowed once a day with a shower token (6 minutes per shower). How you get these top ratings here is beyond us. And another request to dog lovers (we were also there with a dog), please clean up after your dog. Bags and bins are provided. Leaving the pile lying around or filling it with a little sand is incomprehensible to the general public and does not encourage sympathy from non-dog owners.
We ended our vacation early and will not be back.Automatisk oversat.Besvaret fra Duinpark en Camping De Robbenjager November 8, 2021Dear Guest,
We keep an eye on all complaints so that we can do something about them.
If everything was that bad, you would have reported it to us?
Ps, we clean the sanitary building 3 times a day as we are also known for that and yes we are also dependent on how guests treat our things.
We are sorry that you didn't like it, but we still believe in what we do.
Family SchuijlAutomatisk oversat. - Barbara K.July 2020PositiveLocation, peace and quiet, cleanlinessNegativnothing to complain aboutWonderful place! This is the 4th time we have stayed at De Robbenjager campsite in the north of Texel. It was wonderful again. A very nice and quiet site (fortunately without animation) on the edge of the bird sanctuary (the pheasants run across the site) with lots of greenery. Very nice pitches with water and electricity.... Short walk through the dunes to the beach (no bathing beach, it's a bit further). The staff are very friendly, the sanitary facilities are modern and very clean. Nature and bird lovers will get their money's worth here. We had a great rest again and can recommend the campsite!Automatisk oversat.
- Gerold R.June 2020PositiveVery clean and well-maintained campsite. Excellently organized and beautifully situated in the countryside. Excursion destinations in the immediate vicinityNegativThe wash house was closed due to the coronavirus. But that was only a minor problem for the real campers present.Relaxation for allWhen we arrived, everything was ready and we were greeted in a very friendly manner and accompanied to the pitch so that everything was in the right place and could be moved if necessary.
The wash house leaves nothing to be desired and is very clean.
You can walk directly from the pitch through the dunes... to the beach.
Electric rental cars are now also available.
A village with excellent shopping facilities is 2 km away.
There are four different restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
By the way, this is probably the quietest and largest beach in the Netherlands.
Simply greatAutomatisk oversat. - Lea B.February 2020PositiveSuper location Friendly, courteous staff Clean and tidy Good facilitiesNegativThe road is not illuminated, so you will need a good flashlight for evening walks with your dog.Visiting for the third time - Great campsiteWe visited for the third time in February and for the second time with our dog in one of the great chalets. The mobile homes are beautifully furnished, clean and you want for nothing. The location of the campsite is great; you have direct access to the beach, can walk to the lighthouse and walk through... part of the Texel dunes directly opposite.
We came to camp on our first visit and were completely satisfied.
It certainly wasn't our last vacation at Duinpark & Camping de Robbenjager!Automatisk oversat. - Christoph L.December 2019PositiveFantastic location in the dunes, very close to the beach.NegativNonePure relaxation in a beautiful ambience 👍Very well-kept complex, super friendly staff, fantastic location in the middle of the dunes right next to the lighthouse. Very modern facilities, comfortable charlets.Automatisk oversat.
- Axel F.October 2019PositiveLocation, tranquility, cleanliness of the facilityNegativBetter to buy bread rolls from the bakery in the village, the most beautiful viewpoints with a view of the Leutturm only for WOMO, 2 dogs not possibleWonderfully quiet and away from the hustle and bustleWe stayed at this beautiful place in the fall, right at the end of the season. The location is characterized by peace, nature and relaxation. Nothing or less for "hustle and bustle fans", those who love this are better accommodated in and around de Koog. You can hike endlessly through the dunes, enjoy... cycling and of course swim in the appropriate season. There is a lovely restaurant in front of the campsite with friendly service. Dogs are always welcome as long as you don't come with more than one dog, because then you won't get a booking. What was also a bit strange - we experienced in October that WOMO campers who would have liked to stay for one night were turned away with the remark that there was nothing left. The CP was a maximum of 15% occupied!Automatisk oversat.
- Petra S.October 2019PositiveGreat location to the beach. Top cycle paths directly at the Duinpark.NegativLots of car traffic during the dayVacation in a chalet with dog as a coupleStay in the chalet with a view of the lighthouse. Modern, clean, great chalet. The whole complex is very clean, everything is new. Very friendly staff. Bread roll service works great. The many cars on the way to the lighthouse are a bit annoying. Otherwise a relaxing, beautiful vacation in great surroundings.Automatisk oversat.
- GM T.September 2019PositiveVery well maintained and quietNegativNot for usVery nice, well-kept campsite in a wonderful locationWe spent a week at this beautiful campsite. If you're looking for peace and quiet in beautiful natural surroundings, this is the place for you. Everything is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are super clean, hedges protect against the wind and divide the site into small groups of pitches. There is direct access from the site to a wonderfully extensive sandy beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful.Automatisk oversat.

- Ellen A.September 2019Relaxing vacationWe stayed at this great campsite for 6 days in September. There is nothing to complain about. The location is great in the middle of the dunes.
