- Cathal R.July 2022PositiveViews and friendly siteNegativNo negativesBeautiful CampsiteOur pitch was in a quiet area on the lowest part of the site next to the sea. The views were exceptional. Nothing was any bother to the staff, toilets and showers were kept spotless no mater when we went there. One of the best sites we have ever visited. Large shop across the road from the site and loads of good restaurants with recommendations from the site owners. Overall rating 5*
- Martina H.May 2019PositiveAbsolute peace, great view, right on the waterNegativactually noneWhen the soul wants to relax......this campsite is ideal for this. Very spacious, very well-kept and, despite many permanent campers, plenty of space, at least in the low season - also for walks. Sanitary facilities are clean, unfortunately not heated. No individual washing cubicles. The shower has hot water, which is not always a given. Extremely friendly staff with lots of information. Prices in the upper range. Supermarket opposite the campsite.Automatisk oversat.

Good location for touring the peninsulas in the southwest.Automatisk oversat. - Günter K.May 2017PositiveQuiet location, cleanliness of the entire facilityNegativDue to the spaciousness of the site, there are sometimes long distances to the sanitary blocks. No dogs.Clean, well-maintained site convenient as a base for exploring the southwestWe were immediately impressed by the friendly welcome. Families and couples are assigned separate pitches without being asked. Some pitches have long distances to the sanitary facilities. Pitches laid out in terraces allow a view of the water almost everywhere. Some pitches not suitable for satellite reception. Free Wifi only in the vicinity of the reception. Petrol station and supermarket with bread in front of the entrance to the campsite.Automatisk oversat.
- Iris P.June 2016Positive- Location - View - FriendlinessNegativ- Tumble dryers are too expensive (too old models and not very powerful), so you always have to buy more coins...Place with a great view and many possibilitiesWe chose this campsite in advance to explore the Beara Peninsula. There are a wide range of excursion options simply because of its great local location. Opposite the campsite there is a petrol station with a well-stocked supermarket where you can also get fresh bread rolls in the morning. Overall, the... campsite is very long and offers the right pitch for every need (right by the water, with a sea view, sheltered from the wind, grass or gravel pitch, etc.). At the reception, you are asked about your wishes before they check what is available. The size of the pitches is generous. If you have your own kayak or boat with you, there are several local water access points where you can use them. Unfortunately, you can't borrow anything on the site itself. The distances to the few sanitary buildings are sometimes so long (site with sea view) that many people drive to the toilet (we have never experienced this before). The showers are free (rare in Ireland) but you tend to shower with one hand because of the short water jet duration. The sanitary facilities are very clean and spacious. To flush with hot water you need 5 cent pieces. Unusual and difficult to "collect" in Ireland, but the reception will change money. There is a freezer for free use in each sanitary building. The reception is almost like a tourist information center. You get really great tips and advice and it's very friendly. There are also a few menus available to help you choose a restaurant. However, I should also mention that it was one of the most expensive washing experiences I've ever had. At first it all sounds reasonable: 5 EUR washing machine and 4 EUR dryer.....not cheap but OK....I paid more than 30 EUR for 2 washes including drying, because of the not particularly efficient dryer...I thought that was too expensive. On the other hand, it was good that there were washing lines behind the laundry building. You could use them free of charge with your own clips.Automatisk oversat.

The site is partly terraced, with the upper half on one level. Large proportion of permanent guests. Some with great views of the bay. Friendly reception. Also suitable for large and heavy camper vans. Pitches with a view of the sea are quite close together. Sanitary facilities average but well maintained and clean.Automatisk oversat.
