Armin H.September 2023PositiveQuiet, tidy site, arranged in the shape of a terrace. Beautiful lawns everywhere, clean and spacious sanitary facilities. For me, the highlight par excellence was the three huts designed in different simplicity. "Witches' cottage", "duck house" and the "hen house" where I spent the night. And it was so nice that I immediately booked a second night. You have to bring your own mattress and sleeping bag, but everything else was great. Electricity, light, a small shelf and a nice settee in front of it. So that you can have a good breakfastNegativIf you consider it a disadvantage to live on a mountain and want to cycle up there using muscle power. Then yes 😂😂 Oh yes, the pub on the square is closed on Monday and Tuesday. But there is a nice pub on the opposite hillA lid for every potSee advantages everything is described there!

There is a free choice of seats. The sanitary facilities are well-maintained and even small guests are catered for (washbasin, mirror, toilet). Many details make it clear that a lot of time and money has been and is being invested here. As a craftsman, I was particularly struck by the generous use of stainless steel wherever it made sense. Very beautiful, very durable but... also very expensive. My wife enjoyed the many artistic and decorative design details more. A particularly attractively designed and very well-kept campsite. The clearly laid out price list is perfectly reasonable, and not only for this reason. You often get less for more money elsewhere. We have rarely been offered anything comparable at such reasonable prices.Automatisk oversat.

The site is very clean, the reception is friendly and uncomplicated. Some of the terraces for tourists are easier to reach with a mover, which... most people have anyway (not me). But even so, you should be able to find your spot. It really is dark at night. But you can see the stars...
There is plenty of space for children in a large playground with a zip wire slide. My daughter was gone after 1 minute and there were still plenty of playmates despite the end of the fall vacations.

The signposting to the hiking trails on the campsite and the signs to the Eurocamp at the junction... of the Hermannsweg were also very helpful.
They take care of their guests' needs here. We were all very pleased with the overall package. People often drive quite fast on the paths.Beautiful placeWe were there with the late summer meeting of the Classic Camping Friends and felt very comfortable. The club had taken over the lower meadow directly at the entrance. On arrival, on a rainy day, the meadow was a bit soggy but passable. The next day it was dry and the ground was firm. Registration, with... advance payment, went smoothly, even though we didn't arrive until around 7pm. The site is well maintained, but pitch dark at night, and the path up to the sanitary building and restaurant becomes a slalom around the molehills. The restaurant is highly recommended and definitely above what you would expect on a campsite, although the price is more than justified for the quality of the food and service.

The large permanent camping area is located in the upper rear section. The sanitary building is not the latest, but was clean at all times. As the campsite accepts the ACSI card, at least 80% of the guests passing through were Dutch campers,... but that didn't matter. Everyone greeted each other all day, which is rare these days. Perhaps this is also due to the friendly nature of the site owner. If you are looking for peace and quiet and enjoy hiking, this is the place for you. We can only recommend cycling with electric assistance. We were unable to try out the on-site restaurant as it was closed due to illness. We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and were immediately given a great overview of the hiking and refreshment options in the area. Although the site is clearly in the hands of permanent campers, as... a tourist you don't notice much of this because their pitches are very spacious and most of them disappear behind high hedges. The tourist pitches are laid out over several terraces separated by hedges on a south-facing slope, the pitches are not separated from each other. Dog-friendly!NegativNo defects detectable!Good, friendly, solid and clean!The Cpl. is situated in a charming, wooded location in the Holperdorfer Valley, in the Teutoburg Forest near Lienen. The reception is friendly, helpful and points out routes, points of interest and leisure activities in the surrounding area as soon as you arrive. The reception is located in a farmhouse,... right at the entrance to the Cpl. We paid (Wowa, 2P, 1dog) preseason fee according to CC-Card and could choose the pitch ourselves. 50ct WIFI fee for the whole stay was still a plus point, but according to friendly advice not on the whole place (78ooo square meters !!) to reach. The permanent pitches fit into the whole area in such a way that they do not seem overwhelming, especially as they offer direct access to the nearby forest. Some pitches are on a slight slope, which can be compensated for. As there is a grassy area providing cover, the campsite is also suitable for tent tourists (backpackers) looking for a rest from the nearby Hermannsweg trail. There is an excellent playground for children. The site has a large wash house with large showers (approx. 1.2 x 1.2 m). Heaters are mounted on the ceiling to ensure even heat. The sanitary area was clean and in good condition throughout the day. In the wash house, next to the disabled toilet, a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer is under construction. A washing-up area is attached next to the wash house. The restaurant on the cpl. is a bit outdated and leased out. It is about 5 km from the cpl. to the nearby Linen. Halfway there, in the middle of the Teuto, is a rustic forest restaurant, which can be reached from the Cpl. in about 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by mobile and should be an Alpine substitute with a Swiss feeling for our Dutch friends. - Margit K.August 2010Nice place. The site is laid out in terraces, with hedges to break up the lawn and provide privacy. There are some fruit trees around, a boules court and a few play areas for children. The sanitary facilities are not modern but are clean and there are plenty of showers and wash cubicles. The site was... not overcrowded, even during the vacations. The so-called transit meadow, which accommodates short-term campers and dog owners, is very large, so it doesn't get crowded there either. The location of the site is actually very quiet, but unfortunately there are disturbing background noises: bikers use the idyllic Holperdrop valley with its small, winding roads as a race track. And the site is located a few kilometers from the evening flight path of Münster-Osnabrück Airport. However, many campers obviously have no problem with this.Automatisk oversat.
