A great place for everyone.Automatisk oversat. - Michi V.August 2023PositiveBistro/beer garden with very nice staff and fair prices.Negativ---Quiet, clean and cozyWe stayed at the site for a weekend and had a pitch right next to the playground. With children that was of course perfect.
The site is quiet and rustic. Yet clean and well-kept. Just as you would expect for a short trip. Some guests also spend their vacations here. Why not?
The wash houses were clean... and the site was well maintained. The bistro and beer garden were always busy and bustling. We found the food and breakfast good and sufficient. The staff were very friendly and courteous, which is what makes it special.
The outdoor pool looked clean and was also used. A great add-on to the campsite.
All in all recommended. We will be back.Automatisk oversat. - Ralf O.May 2023PositiveVery good quiet parking space. Bread roll service, nice helpful staff. Would love to come back.NegativThere is not enough public transportation.Nice placeWe were there for 5 days with a motorhome. It was very quiet although there was a lot going on. Nice staff and helpful.Automatisk oversat.
- axel k.June 2022PositiveHiking possibilities, staff, price-performance ratioNegativBus connectionsNot much more is neededActually a beautiful spot on earth. Friendly staff, great hiking opportunities, public transport included in the tourist tax, but what good is that with these impossible bus timetables?Automatisk oversat.
- Dirk S.June 2022PositiveFor me a quiet standard pitch. No special featuresNegativPrice of 36,-€ per night for WW, 2 pers., 1 dog & electricity quite high.Place okay, but with 36€/night not cheapWe were on site for 4 days/3 nights. The pitch was clean, as were the sanitary facilities. The price ledider far away from the indicated 22,-€.Automatisk oversat.
- Stefan H.May 2021PositiveSuper sanitary facilities, great location of the campsite, nice staff, well-kept placeNegativNoneShort vacationWe stayed at the campsite for a short vacation and felt very comfortable. Good hiking opportunities, new sanitary facilities, beautiful, well-kept campsite, also easily accessible from the A7. We will be back again.Automatisk oversat.
- Hans M.May 2020PositiveHiking possibilitiesNegativCampsite not in good conditionRoom for improvementWe stayed at the Eulenburg campsite with three campervans over Whitsun. The proximity to the town and direct hiking opportunities are great. But the site itself is not in good condition, i.e. the pitches are not very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are totally outdated and not very clean at... Whitsun. May have been due to the full occupancy (despite Corona) but was not very pleasant. Operator very friendly but as I said the only point to go there again are the great hiking opportunities.Automatisk oversat.
- Sascha F.July 2019PositiveOwn swimming pool, nicely structured, good infrastructure on the pitch and also nearby.NegativMain road relatively close to the square, therefore clearly perceptible road noise in the morning. W-LAN somewhat weak and only near the restaurant.Beautiful place with its own swimming poolNicely structured, not too big place. Small restaurant available, food okay, selection somewhat small, more of a snack bar.
The highlight is the small, child-friendly and clean swimming pool on site.
The pitch and sanitary facilities are very clean overall, but there are not enough toilets and showers... in the outbuilding. Showers have to be paid for separately, but should be included in the basic price.
The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling, and the typical tourist destinations of the West and Hochharz are also within easy reach. Osterode with its small town center and shopping facilities can be reached by bike or, if necessary, on foot. There is also a bowling alley and a quaint little bird park in the immediate vicinity of the site.
The operators are helpful and friendly, for example they helped us out with an extension lead free of charge. Bread rolls can be ordered in advance) and other small items are available in the office.
Tent pitches are relatively small and separated from the parceled out areas by trees and a pool and without electricity. For larger tents and if you need electricity, you will be allocated a relatively large parceled-out area. Plenty of shade due to beautiful trees.
A cute hay store is also available for rent.Automatisk oversat. - Birgit G.June 2019PositiveGreat for group meetingsNegativNo real problems found.A great placeWe were at this campsite over Ascension Day for a group event. The place was fully booked. Despite this, the staff were friendly. The sanitary facilities were also scarce, but always clean. The food in the beer garden is freshly prepared and tastes very good. A particular highlight is the pool, the use of which is included in the price.Automatisk oversat.
- Ralf K.May 2019PositivePrice/performance, location for excursions etc. Nice people.NegativShowers are too expensive ! Abandoned permanent pitches with a creepy factor ! A little more green maintenance...Gladly again !We stayed here for a few days in May with our camper van. The site is ideal as a starting point for hikes, bike tours or motorcycling. The staff are very friendly. The sanitary facilities are simple and clean. However, the price for the showers is clearly too high! In the area of the motorhome parking... space in front of the campsite there are often different groups of people, which has never bothered us so far. The site could do with a little more maintenance. Abandoned permanent pitches sometimes look a bit creepy. This MUST be improved!Automatisk oversat.
- Jochen G.September 2018Positivequiet, nice staffNegativnonenice quiet placeA beautifully situated and extremely quiet place, at least in the low season. Ideal starting point for hikes.Automatisk oversat.
- Heinz S.July 2018PositiveQuietNegativSanitary Toilet emptyingQuiet place in beautiful natureThe sanitary facilities could be cleaner. The emptying of the toilets on the site urgently needs to be improved.Automatisk oversat.
- Jürgen T.May 2018NegativUnreliableBooked and still no bed!I booked the hay hotel there. Alone. I was assured that it would only be rented to one party. Arrival around 8 pm. At the reception I was told that it was rented to three others. Unparalleled cheek. I relied on the accommodation and therefore left the tent at home. For me, money-grubbing and unreliability. Unfortunately, I can't really give a negative rating. Actually a flat -5!Automatisk oversat.
- Thomas H.April 2018PositiveClose to the forest.NegativA little expensive.Acceptable for one nightUnfortunately, some of the sanitary facilities were closed during our stay. As the showers cost extra, the overnight price was just under €28 (2 people, 1 dog, electricity). You can spend the night in front of the campsite for €12.Automatisk oversat.
- Anna S.July 2017PositiveBeautiful grounds, pure nature, nice operator + staff, inexpensive. The most important thing for me: wonderfully unbourgeois.NegativIf the site is well occupied, they should open the 2nd sanitary building. That costs (employees), but I would be prepared to pay more.Home from home - totally unbourgeoisBeautifully situated site, extremely nice operator and staff. It really is a gem and an insider tip. I've been there 3 times now, you always arrive immediately and relax. No strict pitch department, large pitches. The staff are helpful and flexible. Very nice beer garden with food, good starting point for excursions.Automatisk oversat.
- Achim T.July 2017Positivegood location for tours in the Harz mountainsNegativSanitary facilities should be cleaned bettervacationCampsite is beautifully located pitches sufficiently large unfortunately sanitary very poorly cleaned everywhere spider webs at the pool the front is with family bath and something better condition would be so far actually good. Snack bar is good price okAutomatisk oversat.
- Pia P.July 2017Perfect base camp for motorcycle tours through the Harz MountainsEverything we want from a campsite: Friendly, clean, quiet. You can get bread rolls for breakfast if you want and if you don't feel like cooking yourself after a long tour, you can get delicious food at moderate prices in the restaurant. The sanitary facilities were very clean and well maintained.Automatisk oversat.
- Sandra L.June 2017PositiveVery cheap CP, very quietNegativNo shopping facilities at the CP, restaurant smelled a bit old/"musty"Very quiet campsiteA good location for our purposes (motorcycle tours). However, the site doesn't offer much more than pure tranquillity. There is a small playground for children and an approx. 150 cm deep pool offers a nice cool-down after a tour and at appropriate temperatures. The sanitary facilities are ok, are cleaned... daily, but due to the careless/ignorant users in my opinion, the floor was always "swimming" and there was always hair/fluff in the washbasins and on the floor.Automatisk oversat.
- Bastian K.May 2017PositiveFriendliness infrastructure PoolNegativSomething could be modernized here and there...I would love to come back!Very nice place with very nice operators. Simply great both on the phone and at reception!Automatisk oversat.
- Emma K.October 2016PositivePeace, price, friendlinessNegativHiking trails often asphalted, few places to stop for refreshments while hikingnice placeWe were alone on the motorhome pitch for 2 days at the end of October. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and had a good rest. The showers were very cramped but clean. The only thing that bothered me, but had nothing to do with the place itself, was that the hiking trail in the forest was partly asphalted.... That's really weird - who does that? If you want to walk 16 km and almost half of it is on asphalt-that's death for your knees and feet. If you want to use proper hiking trails, you have to drive a bit. Even if you are looking for a restaurant outside the BP. There were no more restaurants in the immediate hiking area. Conclusion: Great for resting. But if you want to hike, you either have to accept stupid paths or 'drive a bit'.Automatisk oversat.
