After the site owner told us during our first week of camping the poisonous death of his of his pet cat during our first camping week now about 2 weeks after our return home we also had to have our beloved dog put to sleep by the vet far too early with clear signs of poisoning! Please do not let your pet run around absolutely free to run around there! .......and now for our rating see under comments.CLEAN, NOISY PLACE, VERY MOODY OWNER WHO TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO!It was a noisy place at times at least in the 2 weeks we were there. Very friendly boss in contrast to the moody spouse and boss of the place!
For us this place has finished, we are looking for rest, peace, relaxation and no loud parties until about 3.00 am then again at 7.00 am starts the techno music harassment!

Unfortunately, poisoned bait is being laid out in the immediate vicinity of the campsite
by so-called dog/cat animal haters. So please be aware
if you are traveling with a dog or cat!
Recommendation. Never let them run free!
The place is nicely laid out but also quite loud, for us it was too loud especially in the evening and night hours to relax and find peace
it is not suitable!Automatisk oversat. - fredy d.June 2022PositiveClean washrooms and toilets, very friendly boss, clean place,NegativQuite cumbersome WC chemical toilet emptying without a water tap in the immediate vicinity!CLEAN, NOISY PLACE, MOODY OWNER WHO NEEDS GETTING USED TO!"First of all, we unfortunately have to issue a warning and advice to all cat and dog owners/campers!

Both the campsite and the sanitary facilities were very clean. The owner couple do a very good job here. On Thursday there was a barbecue with live music. The bathing lake can be reached on foot in around 10 minutes,
correspondingly quicker by bike.... A good starting point for exploring the area by bike or kayak/canoe. Our sons (6+10) always had someone to play soccer with which also gives the parents the desired peace of mind. We had a very nice vacation. Many thanks again.Automatisk oversat. - Robert K.July 2021PositiveOpenness of the operators. Cleanliness in the sanitary area very well maintained everything.NegativCould not detect anyA small oasis for well-beingThe openness and politeness of the Vogt family is unbeatable and the campers there have been coming there for 15 to 30 years and this friendly nature carries over. I was so well received there for my short stay. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and very clean. The whole site is very well maintained.Automatisk oversat.
- Carsten H.June 2020PositiveApart from the weather, we actually liked everything. There are playgrounds, toys and a small beach. You can go out into the world from there, by train, motorboat, bike or car.NegativDefinitely the weather, it was quite windy and rainy at the end of June. But it's all half as bad. The water is quite murky, but one lake further on the water is perfect.Camping in your family parkIt was a very good vacation all round. We rented a bungalow there and used the town as a base to explore the surrounding area. For the children there is the Slavic village and the zoo in Neustrelitz. You can also hire bikes in Wesenberg and cycle off. We even got a pedelec including a trailer there.... The white fleet also runs from Wesenberg to Neustrelitz and back again. We spent the rest of the days there in the family park, where there are playgrounds with toys and you can also hire a boat. The lake itself is a bit murky and urgently needs to be regenerated. It belongs to the town, which is why we bought a fishing license to go fishing there. We didn't catch anything... all in all, we might come back again. The family park is extremely well maintained! There are also covered seating areas for campers and a large fire pit. There are also sanitary facilities for campers.Automatisk oversat.

- Andreas W.June 2019PositiveFriendliness, cleanliness and a great family atmosphere on site. Feel-good camping at its best!Short Whitsun vacation at the camping family parkAt Whitsun 2019, we were once again drawn to the lake district to go kayaking and cycling. The Schwaanenhavel in particular was to be our destination this time. As it's always difficult to get a place spontaneously at Whitsun, I called the family park with little hope and was immediately greeted very... warmly on the phone. Yes, they would find a place for our camper van, even if it wasn't in a prime location with a view of the lake. Of course, we were delighted to get a pitch at the first attempt. On the Friday before Whitsun, there were four traffic jams on the way and we arrived three hours later than planned. While we were stuck in the traffic jam, we called the campsite and told them about our expected delay. "No problem at all, you can come at any time, we're on site and waiting for you!" was the reply. Absolutely great! When we arrived at the campsite, the friendly campsite owner and his friendly wife welcomed us and showed us to all the pitches that were available. One of them, of all places, had a wonderful view of the lake. For us, it was clearly the most beautiful pitch on the whole campsite! How lucky we were! The whole campsite turned out to be a great stroke of luck! The atmosphere was incredibly informal, everyone seemed to know everyone else and we were immediately welcomed as strangers. Friendliness and good humor were standard here. There was no insistence on excessive rules and yet everyone behaved considerately. On the Saturday before Whitsun we were lucky enough to be able to eat roast pork from a spit and in the evening there was a live concert by a rock cover band. The cleanliness of the site was perfect, as were the sanitary facilities. I will briefly mention the fact that there were coin-operated showers, which I disliked so much, but due to the extremely positive overall experience, I will leave that aside this time. We felt so comfortable here that we gave it full marks. What a perfect Whitsun weekend! It was just a shame that it was over so quickly. We could have stayed here longer.Automatisk oversat.
- Monika G.August 2017Super, would be happy to recommend the campsite. We (two adults) spent one night on our canoe trip at the "Ihr Familienpark am Kleinen Labussee" campsite. I have never experienced such a well-kept campsite - great lawn, everything in order, clean and well thought out, nice management. I am very happy to recommend the campsite to others.Automatisk oversat.

- Sebastian K.August 2014PositiveLocation on the lake, family-friendly, cozy family atmosphere, water hiking, campfire, clean sanitary facilities, good transport links.Cozy, very well-kept place with wonderful sunsetsWe (2 adults, 2 children aged 8 months and 5 years) spent 12 nights with our motorhome at the family park in August. It was our first time there. The location of the site right on the shore of the small Labus lake is very beautiful with meadows and sparse pine forest. The site is very well maintained... and laid out in such a way that there are areas for motorhomes, tents and water hikers. Fortunately, there are no "typical" permanent campers. There are also 20 associated bungalows scattered throughout the forest. The focal point of the site is a spacious fireplace surrounded by numerous seating areas where you can chat and eat together. In addition to the weekly barbecue evenings with live music, a large campfire and baking bread on sticks, there is also the option of barbecuing individually on the central barbecue area. Every Wednesday evening, a barbecue chicken truck comes directly to the family park. There are also covered seating areas on the tent meadow for water hikers directly on the lake, where campers can eat comfortably with a view of the lake and sit outside even when it rains. The sanitary facilities - including a family bathroom - are modern and extremely clean. They are located in the centrally located main building, where you will find the reception, a small kiosk, a large hall and a room with 2 washing machines and 1 dryer. You can also enjoy a leisurely breakfast there on the beautifully laid out terrace. Breakfast trays with fresh coffee and bread rolls can be put together to order. Bread rolls can also be pre-ordered for the next day. The nearest shopping facilities are in nearby Wesenberg (approx. 10 minutes by bike). The towns of Neustrelitz and Mirow can be reached quickly and easily from the nearby Weißer See stop (approx. 15 minutes on foot) using the private Kleinseenbahn train. We have met many regular guests who have been spending their vacations there with their children for years. As the site is manageable, children can let off steam (playground, sports field, table tennis tables, lakeside) while the adults can relax. The small bay with jetty is very nice, where water hikers can easily moor. There are plenty of boat stands. You can't swim in the lake, but it's only a few minutes on foot or by bike to the bathing spots on the Great White Lake. The site was pleasantly quiet despite the high season. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets on the lake shore and also from many places. The pleasant atmosphere on the site is not least due to the fact that the site operators (the Vogt family) are always friendly and personally concerned about the well-being of their guests and always have an open ear for any concerns or problems. Registration, allocation of pitches, maintenance, campfires, baking bread on sticks, barbecues, serving drinks, boat hire or tour suggestions for (water) hikers and cyclists - everything is a matter for the boss. You can tell that the Vogt family really enjoy what they do. We are already looking forward to our next vacation at the family park on the small Labussee.Automatisk oversat.
- Lutz F.August 2013PositiveQuiet location, very friendly operators, beautifully situated in the countryside, not overcrowded, no permanent campersNegativSeat price a little highAlways beautifulVery nice place, because no permanent campers very cozy and family, have been there very often and were always thrilled whether short trip or long stay, barbecues twice a week at very moderate prices, activities in all directions possible, swimming lake 5 minutes awayAutomatisk oversat.
- Friedhelm M.July 2012PositiveLocation, tranquillity, surroundingsNegativPricingActuallyinorderActually a good place. However, the prices are not very hospitable: you have to leave the site after 10 am or pay for another day. The usual time is almost always 12 noon or by arrangement. Unfortunately, this was not possible at the family park. I'd rather go to another site in future, as there are plenty nearby.Automatisk oversat.Besvaret fra Ihr Familienpark June 29, 2014Hello, thank you for the review.
The pricing of a campsite will always be a subject for discussion.
However, we believe that over the years (20th season) we have found a healthy middle ground.
One site sets the prices for people, pets, shower tokens etc. a little higher, while the other site is more... expensive for tents, caravans and motorhomes.
We always strive to offer clean, green pitches and do not restrict the area markings.
In the high season, we are an almost inexpensive provider compared to our competitors, especially the Haveltourist group.
As far as the departure date on the following day is concerned, I must correct this.
No guest (with the exception of planned water hiking groups) leaves the campsite by 10 am.
As a rule, it is always 11.00 a.m. or midday. This is also stated in our campsite rules... that the campsite must be vacated by 12.00 noon at the latest.
Diane and Olaf Vogt (site managers)Automatisk oversat. - klaus s.July 2011The family park stands out positively from many other campsites in the area run by the "Haveltourist" company. Haveltourist is an impersonal chain of campsites, at the family park the owner lives on site and keeps things tidy and helps if necessary. The site is relatively manageable, I don't want to... spend my vacation in a small town like the campsite in Groß Quassow, I also don't need any entertainment for children, I went into the forest with my son and went on bike rides. The toilets are cleaned several times a day, the kiosk has a camping-friendly range of snacks and the bread rolls are great. What's particularly great is that a large playing field is never blocked, giving young and old space for soccer, badminton, volleyball or whatever else they want. There are covered benches for campers and twice a week in the evening there is a barbecue and bread on a stick. Stick bread is free for children. The site is romantically located on the Kleiner Labussee lake, which I would never swim in. Modder. But about 3 minutes by bike and just under 10 minutes on foot is the Wesenberg bathing lake, the Weisse See. A super-clear bathing lake with a beach, great. I was also a bit "surprised" about the prices, the price level in the area is the same everywhere. On the other hand, there are no discussions about the size of the pitches in the family park because there are no markings and the owner regulates them with a sense of proportion. I have experienced this very differently at Haveltourist. Everyone has enough space, whether small or large. A great place if you can keep yourself busy, want peace and quiet and nature and short shopping trips to Wesenberg are not too much. There are also various restaurants and pubs with regional specialties and reasonable prices. The campsite is quiet and family-oriented, so anyone who is disturbed by noise should go on vacation somewhere else. They won't have any fun there, but the rest of us will.Automatisk oversat.
