- Anita K.July 2019CP not suitable for everyoneVery large campsite with plenty of entertainment, some pitches poorly shaded, sea view costs extra (€6 p.day), waste separation available on the site but is disposed of together again, staff sometimes short with questions One evening we had a strong storm with thunderstorms, no help from the staff during... the storm (especially for people with tents). Only when everything was over did someone drive across the site and have a quick look (neither stopped nor asked). Poor fire extinguishing system for this size. Entire parking lot under trees that shed sticky secretions. No possibility to clean the vehicle on site.Automatisk oversat.
- Thomas W.September 2017Positive- Beach and sea - The site has a great location - Pitches with a view of the seaNegativ- Sanitary area would have to be renewed, clean but very outdatedIdeal for a pure beach vacationWe, a family with an 18-month-old child, were there with our caravan in September 2017. Accompanied by the grandparents with a "relatively large" motorhome. Basically a nice campsite that offers everything a CP should have. Only the sanitary facilities are clearly getting on in years, tiles, fittings... and also partly the washbasins should be renewed. Toilet seats would be desirable ;-) Despite the XL designation, the pitches are not very large for most modern and correspondingly long motorhomes. Even we with our caravan (body approx. 550) had "just enough" space. The beach = a dream, the sea was SUPER despite September, and the restaurant on site is really recommendable!!!! Anyone looking for something other than a "beach vacation" will usually be disappointed in the region, however, as there is little to be found in the area apart from other campsites and hotels. It was great for us, as there was really little going on, especially in the low season, but on the other hand everything in the area is already at "the end".Automatisk oversat.
- Willi P.September 2017Great place, coordinates unfortunately completely wrongLocated at 41.937793,16.071179, three bays further south than listed on Camping.info POIbase. You can't miss the entrance. Located directly on a bend in the coastal road.Automatisk oversat.
- Georg M.July 2015Positivefree beach, location, view, water, excursions, swimming pool, slidesNegativService in the restaurant, emptying chemical WC far awayfor Southern Italy TopShower spray instead of toilet paper - surprisingly you can get used to it, beach great, water very far out and very shallow, evening entertainment loud as usual in Italy, but far enough away from the pitches to make it bearable, excursions to Peschici and Vieste are highly recommended, the national... park is also worth a trip, if you like hiking, be sure to get olive oil from a farmer, the restaurant is unorganized but the food is ok, there is a good restaurant not far away on foot next to the road, it is also better to go out for shopping, quiet times are reasonably respected (except by the garbage truck)Automatisk oversat.
- Thomas K.July 2015PositiveLocation with beach (bay) certainly beautiful.NegativDogs barking ( July !) / sanitary facilities lousy standard / rest. modest / people not helpful / little shade / too big...Appearances are deceptive....We, a family with 2 children 8 and 14, were only there for 1 night, but that was enough. Our reserved and prepaid pitch had a tree in the middle of it! We have a large family tent and had indicated this when booking. There were few alternatives as there was usually no shade! Had to go home unexpectedly... after one night due to serious illness in the family. Our deposit of 230 euros was not refunded although the pitch was half empty. Sanitary facilities also modest, lots of dogs and corresponding barking. For us NEVER AGAIN! Pizza in the rest. bad, you had to wait a long time for service...stores close very early. And at the entrance it smells strongly of faeces...Automatisk oversat.
- Beate K.September 2014PositiveBeautiful landscape, great seaNegativBungalows too small and poorly equippedBeautiful campsite with modest accommodation/Sept 2014lWonderful bay, clean water and a great pool. The offer for families is fine, also in terms of price. Not overcrowded in the low season. The Gargano offers an incredible amount in terms of scenery and cuisine. From the campsite you can explore the area in relatively short distances by car, also great... for eating out, e.g. Da Mari or Trabucco di Mimi. Our bungalow for 4 people was right on the beach, so the children could quickly go to the beach on their own within sight. Now comes the but. Although it was clear beforehand that the 22 m2 bungalow was small, I was disappointed with the furnishings. The children's bunk bed is in the kitchen and the TV has no satellite connection. When the weather is bad, you can only lie in bed as the table from the terrace doesn't fit in the room. The bathroom would be ok if the shower wasn't right next to the toilet. We all found that disgusting and preferred to shower in the sanitary building. For a stay longer than a few days this would not be an option for me. The evening program was logically in Italian, but still quite nice. There are incredibly beautiful campsites with sea views and also larger bungalows that were already fully booked. The prices are ok in the low season, but the bungalows are certainly not worth the high season prices. Yes, and the journey, even from the south, is of course long. Although it's certainly not as cheap as the south used to be, you can still find a piece of real Italy here.Automatisk oversat.
- Sina L.August 2014PositiveThe super beautiful location and the typical Italian flair.NegativThe sanitary facilities are clean and are cleaned often, but are getting on in years. But okay for this part of Italy. We like being hereWe've always been here at the end of the vacations for 3 years. The great thing here is that there are lots of Italians around and you get the Italian way of life... and Italian prices! German is spoken very well at reception but otherwise only Italian. The pitches are rather small...even the XL pitches. The beach is great and only there for the campsite. We are always happy to come here and the journey alone is an adventure :-).Automatisk oversat.
- Franz M.June 2014PositiveNice location, beautiful beach, nice entertainmentNegativCleanliness & condition of the sanitary facilitiesVery nice place, unfortunately the sanitary facilities in desolate conditionBeautifully situated site, particularly suitable for families. Much more entertainment than at other campsites in the area, large pool with compulsory swimming cap, although this is not taken seriously. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are in a catastrophic state. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be... desired, staff do not respond to complaints. Apparently the operator is on the verge of bankruptcy or is simply overwhelmed. No hot water in the showers at peak times (mornings and evenings) and this is already happening at Whitsun, when only 25% of the pitch is occupied. We rented a bathroom, which had not been cleaned since the end of the season and was handed over to us. There is a (!) Disposal station for chemical toilets, the condition "worth seeing". A great pity, as the place had much more potential!Automatisk oversat.
- Christoph M.August 2013Positive-Quite large campsite, supplemented by a vacation complex - Very beautiful beach on a bay with trabucchiNegativ- Well utilized in August, lively - Sanitary facilities to southern Italian standards, but clean and well maintained"Get Lucky" in Manacore (Apulia, Gargano)Three weeks camping vacation in high season with caravan, awning, 2 adults and 2 teenagers (August 2013). The Gargano is absolutely worth seeing and the stretch of coast is a highlight of the Adriatic! Here are a few tips on how to get there and the conditions on the site in high season: Holidaymakers... visiting the Gargano for the first time with a camper van or caravan should know that there is actually only the coastal road and a highway to Vico di Gargano. In the high season, these roads are hopelessly overloaded and the traffic chaos is infernal. From Vico to Peschici (15 km) it often takes >60 minutes! Intensive study of the travel guides is therefore strongly recommended before traveling. The number of campsites is large, but the quality is not. We recommend that all interested parties make detailed enquiries here before traveling. The Gargano is a mountainous peninsula with a predominantly steep coastline and only a few attractive beaches. These are correspondingly busy in the high season. About the campsite: We were given a booked pitch with a view over the bay of Manacore directly on the main path of the campsite. Very lively and bustling. From four o'clock in the afternoon, the bar opposite was playing "Get Lucky" ;-)) The pitch was ideal for our large caravan, very spacious, but at the same time a passageway for the four adjacent pitches next to ours. The sanitary facilities were always clean and tidy during our stay. However, some of the facilities were not up to date. For Italian pitches in the south of Apulia, however, comparatively "still good". In August, the vibrant Italian "ferragosto" is "tutto" "completo" etc. here in Gargano. Anyone looking for peace and seclusion on vacation ... should avoid the area in August.Automatisk oversat.
- Maria S.July 2013Very loud after a somewhat quieter week. On Thursday until well after midnight. Depending on the pitch, different music from 3-4 places at the same time. Reaction to the complaint - the Italians want it that way, only the Germans complain. Remedy - none. The pitches in the burnt down part are quiet, but without shade during the day.Automatisk oversat.
