" - Cool youth campsite within the city limits of Munich. Easy to get to the city center by streetcar. Very well equipped sanitary facilities. There are several options for accommodation: your own tent, a bunk in a large common tent or just a place for a sleeping bag in the tent. People from all countries of the world. Very friendly staff, in the evenings organize a huge international bonfire, which gathers all guests. There is a cafe on the territory, but it is expensive. One big disadvantage: you can leave your car at the entrance to the camping on the road, as the camping is located in the forest park zone.

CAMPFIRE - EVERY NIGHT... THE TENT (also known as KAPUZINERHÖLZL, but never mind) is Munichs nicest and cheapest place to stay. Since 1972 we have been offering backpackers, bikers, groups and school classes the chance to sleep cheap! Meet other …backpackers, interrailers, youth groups and travellers from around the world in a nice atmosphere! THE TENT is located in a green and calm park area, just 13 minutes away from the city center. Reservations are possible on www.the-tent.com. See you in summer!

From the airport Take the S-Bahn to main-station and then ... From the main-station Take tram 17 (nightline N16) from Hauptbahnhof/main station (direction Amalienburgstr.) to Botanischer Garten, turn right into Franz-Schrank-Strasse (altogether around 15 mins). The Tram runs every 10 …minutes during the day, every 20 minutes in the evenings. It is also a nightline (N16)! THE TENT has no Curfew! 24 h accessible by public transport!
