- Ralf B.July 2017PositiveBeautifully situated, lots of peace and quietNegativFollow my directions for caravans!Beautiful campsite in the Jonte gorgeWe received a very friendly welcome at this campsite, which we had booked in advance. Our caravan was parked directly on the steep bank of the Jonte, and we were allocated a sufficiently large, shady pitch. The site offers baked goods without advance booking and has a small store. Pizza and roast chicken... can also be ordered in advance. We felt very comfortable here. The sanitary facilities are basic but were always very clean. Worth mentioning is the great pool above the campsite. **** Attention caravanners: Please take the toll-free A75 to Le Rozier. The approach via St. Enemie or a little further via Florac is not recommended due to the narrow roads through the village and steep hairpin bends, although the route is not closed to caravans. However, those who dare to drive through St. Enemie (like us) :-) will experience a fabulous 60-kilometre drive through a spectacular and wonderful landscape.*******Automatisk oversat.
- Michael T.July 2017PositiveGood facilities and starting point for excursions. Beautiful swimming pool above on the mountainside,NegativThe price?Beautiful square within walking distance of MeyruisSite in the Gorge de Jonte just before Meyruis (the latter is overrated in the guidebook). Good starting point for visits to the Grotte Aven Armand and the Przewalski horses (in the national park). Nice swimming pool, playgrounds, wash houses (large, clean), all located directly on the river (site is... long and narrow). Also directly on the - only - road (manageable traffic), within walking distance of Meyruis, supermarket just outside the town near the campsite. Bar, snack bar (chicken, pizza), reception, lounge, games. Very friendly reception (D, NL, F). Beautiful pitches, basically all by the river (slightly elevated), electricity connections on all four pitches, water central. 2 p. / motorhome / electricity / night = € 34 (high season...) WiFi € 8 / h seems unreasonable (but is probably due to the mobile phone flat rates of the French) Meyruis offers stores and a market. The Grotte Aven Armand is a real tip (you have to go there). For horse lovers, a detour to the Prezwalski wild horses is worthwhile. However, you may only be able to see them through binoculars, even if you can get to the information center and the fences. Another grotto within easy reach. The Jonte is not really suitable for swimming, just splashing around... and rocky.Automatisk oversat.
- Hans Martin F.June 2015PositiveThe location in the Jontetal, attractive pitches.NegativSometimes cold showers. Internet expensive and switched off at 23:00. Superficial cleaning.Beautiful place with flawsThe site is located directly on the Jonte. It is a terraced campsite, quite long with 2 sanitary blocks. One pitch next to the other, none opposite. The pitches are tidy, mostly shady under trees. You can buy baguettes in the morning in the low season. There is a supermarket 500m away in Meyrieus. The... site is 670 m high in a gorge, so it is quite cool in the evening, if not cold. (end of June). The sanitary buildings are only superficially clean, not really cleaned daily. At 23:00 the electricity is switched off in the wash house. The toilets remain lit. The showers often only provided cold water. Sometimes you got scalded. It was often not possible to regulate the temperature. Internet is possible on the pitch, but very expensive and is also switched off at 11pm.Automatisk oversat.
- Uli M.August 2014Idyllic location directly on the JonteVery quiet, well-kept pitch. Directly below along a road, but very little traffic. Simple but well-kept sanitary facilities. Due to the altitude and valley location, it can get quite chilly in the evenings, even in summer.Automatisk oversat.
- MARIANNE V.August 2013very overrated and very expensive campsite: 16 euros booking required even for 1 night's camping! Well located near the river, but by the road, and you have to cross the road to get to the pool. Otherwise, very clean sanitary facilities. Not enough play equipment for children under 3.Automatisk oversat.
- damien c.July 2012Superb, magnificent pool, idyllic setting and gigantic stabilized lawn pitch. Very, very quiet. Village accessible by footpath in 20 minutes.Automatisk oversat.
