By my standards, and we are not really campers, I find the size and number of sanitary facilities too small.
There were no problems, but the site was only half... full and as we stayed in the trekking pod and therefore had no sanitary facilities ourselves, we were always dependent on them. The playground and the activities for children definitely need to be enlarged or expanded. HH, felt we were with 10 more vehicles on the site, which meant that only a community cafeteria was open. This did not bother us at all. The sanitary facilities that were open were very clean and well maintained. The lady at reception was... great when it came to information and tips.
Because the campsite was empty, it was super quiet and peaceful at night. At the information desk you could buy the day tickets for the public transportation with which you can move very well in HH. The stop in the evening after 20:00 and on Sunday is for people who are not so good on foot, with about 700 meters, possibly too far away. The normal bus stop is about 300 meters away. On the day of arrival we were already on site at 11:00 a.m., which was no problem at all, we were given a pitch card and were allowed to choose the pitch that suited us on foot. This was our third time on a Knaus pitch and we were not disappointed this time either.
