- Steffen H.June 2015PositiveDirect view of Ben Nevis mountain.View of Ben Nevis mountainThe campsite is tucked away behind the new school and the Fort William Medical Center. The welcome at the campsite is very warm. You are not allocated a pitch - you can choose your own pitch. From the pitches in the meadow you have a wonderful view over to Ben Nevis. The sanitary facilities are older... but always clean. There is a small store in the reception building. You can get spare parts here for repairs to your vehicle. There is a supermarket 500m away on the main road. Fort William is just a stone's throw away by car. If you prefer to take the bus into town, you will find the right bus connection at the Medical Center or on the main road. For whiskey lovers, the Ben Nevis Distillery is just 1 km from the campsite. There is also a golf course nearby. The Ben Nevis mountain can be climbed from the other end of the town. Another highlight is the train ride to Mallaig. However, the journey can only be made three times a day by public transport. A steam train runs twice a day. However, this must be booked online. One night costs 20 pounds.Automatisk oversat.
- SERGIO D.August 2014Attention to pitchesA good campground with clean facilities but grassy pitches dangerous for muddy ground. However, the campground is equipped with a tractor to haul vehicles out of the mud.Automatisk oversat.
- Holger J.July 2012Very friendly staff, free WiFi (although only in the laundry building), good facilities with water and waste water close to the pitch. Good connections to Fort William, also by bus.Automatisk oversat.
