- Andreas S.July 2019PositiveLocation, location, locationNegativThe sanitary facilities are very tight despite the extension and new building.Any time againThis was our 3rd time here and a lot has changed since the last reviews. A new reception building has been built with additional sanitary facilities, a kitchen and a lounge. Bread rolls can be ordered at reception the evening before for the next morning and a bike with a basket is available to take you... to the mini supermarket (800m). There is a free choice of pitches. The pitches in the front row facing the water are now gravelled, parceled out and still very popular. On our previous visits, the higher plateau was only used by tent guests. This time it was parceled out and occupied exclusively by motorhomes/caravans. In addition, another pitch was set up behind the high plateau (without a sea view). It felt like the number of pitches had doubled compared to 2016, which unfortunately also means that despite 2 more toilets (unisex), the sanitary facilities are still too scarce. A beautiful meadow near the water was available for tent guests. We paid NOK 285 for a camper van with 2 people and electricity at the beginning of July. Showers cost 10 kroner for 5 minutes. WLAN is free, but the reception is not great.Automatisk oversat.
- Joachim K.July 2017PositiveLocationNegativInfrastructure is nowhere near sufficient for the size of the pitch.Great location but that's allThe campsite is wonderfully close to the beach. However, the infrastructure is far from adequate for the size of the site. Depending on which pitch you have, you have to walk a long way to reach the only sanitary facilities.Automatisk oversat.
- Hans-Joachim H.June 2016PositiveFantastic, quiet location, good facilities electricity/water. Absolute peace and quiet, approx. 10km to Andenes.NegativWC & showers too small, otherwise noneAgain and againBeautiful, quiet, unspoilt campsite approx. 11 km from Andenes. A dream location and at 220 NOK for 2 adults, caravan, car, electricity and WLAN a highly recommended campsite.Automatisk oversat.
- Daniel S.July 2015PositiveThe location of the campground. I don't like the big commercial places so this was a quiet place.NegativExpensive to wash and dry Ca 90 NOK Expensive to shower 10 NOK/5 minWonderful place with quiet atmosphere and incomparable beachStayed 2 nights passing through with family July 2015. The kids really enjoyed this place as they were on the beach picking shells at 1:30am. It is very bright and lovely at night, but the summer was cold, 4 degrees at night so tents were a bit cold to be in. There is a space center that one can visit... (all museums in Norway cost money and are quite expensive) We did not visit it. Bleik is a nice little community with a soccer field right next to the campsite. WiFi that they have at the campsite is nothing to aim for. You have to sit at the information desk to get good reception. There is a barbecue hut that you sit protected in but the smell of smoke is tangible. Caravans and motorhomes have the opportunity to stand quite protected on the site as there are embankments that take up much of the wind. The tents are not protected at all. The two cottages that were at the campsite are really cozy and certainly worth their money. There is also a similar bachelor hotel that does NOT look attractive about 500 meters from the campsite. The thing to do when you get here is to hike, there are no other activities, no playgrounds to speak of except at the local kindergarten. There is a shop in the community about 600 meters away and it contains the essentials. The beach is wonderful and very nice. You go here for the peace and nature. The staff are friendly and speak English and German and understand Swedish.Automatisk oversat.
- Michael R.July 2015PositiveFantastic, quiet location, good facilities electricity/water. Absolute peace and quiet, only 10km to Andenes. Hiking area.Negativactually none. However, it should be mentioned that 2 showers and 2 toilets are already scarce when the place is full in high season.Natural white beach with a perfect panoramaThis natural campsite is located just 10 km from Andenes, off the road, directly by the sea. The pitches are on grass. The seaside pitches are generously equipped with electricity and water taps, the other pitches for caravans and motorhomes have electricity connections and a few water taps, and the... tent pitches have no infrastructure. There is a free choice of pitches. Bread/rolls are available at the reception from 08.30 am. There is a disposal station for camper vans and, of course, emptying for cassette toilets. The reception is very friendly and you are given competent advice. The infrastructure facilities are clean and reasonably modern, but for the relatively large site, 2 showers and 2 toilets (mixed ladies / gentlemen) are already very tight in the high season. The kitchen is also extremely small for the many campers. The location directly by the sea with a white beach is unspeakably beautiful and behind you is a high mountain massif with an interesting interplay of clouds when low-hanging clouds approach. A dream location with high quality pitches. 230NOK for 2 adults, caravan, car, electricity are a very fair price. Many hiking possibilities etc. in the surrounding area.Automatisk oversat.
- Suse F.June 2015PositiveThe location is simply indescribably beautiful and quietNegativpossibly the somewhat small sanitary buildingBeautifully situated campsite right on the beachThis campsite really is in a magnificent setting, right on the 2 km long fine sandy beach with a view of the sea and mountains! The management is very friendly and helpful. The sanitary building is quite small and the only downside, as there can be bottlenecks! The kitchen is also very small and there is only 1 washing up area. But everything is absolutely clean! Andalsnes is only 6km away.Automatisk oversat.
- Reinhard B.July 2014PositiveThe location when you come to Vesteralen from the northNegativNot for meA great viewFirst-class location and facilities, at least by Norwegian standards. The access and the pitches (sufficiently large) are great.Automatisk oversat.
- Marek M.July 2014Very nice place in Bleik (very close to Whale Safari in Andenes)Camping site is located in lovely place- from one side is sea and from another is mountain. There is available limited fresh bread every morning from local bakery. WiFi available for free with quite good conditions. Very close to harbor where Puffin Safari is offered. Camping is around 5km from Andenes where the famous and successful Whale Safari is offered. Price- 250NOK/day with electricity.Automatisk oversat.
- Olaf 4.June 2014PositiveSea view Boat mooring provided by the campsite owner very good hiking possibilitiesNegativunfortunately no fishing boat for rentBleik - is worth a trip !!!Fishing for halibut up to 160 cm, cod and coalfish is more than great here. The Puffin Island is also worth a visit, orcas pass close to shore even in summer. With John Ronald who speaks English and a little German you have a very good host! Sea viewAutomatisk oversat.
- Juho R.June 2013I've been to Midnattsol Camping twice (2012 and 2013) and I'm going to visit it again sometime. Best camping site I have seen. Toilets and shovers are wery clean all the time. Good spots for tents. Long sand beach. Wery good place. I honestly recommend.Automatisk oversat.
- Dieter S.July 2012On this pitch we had the feeling of being free (which we particularly enjoyed) and still had the most necessary sanitary facilities in the immediate vicinity. We were also lucky enough to experience the midnight sun to the full. Unfortunately, the village offers very few shopping facilities and no restaurants.Automatisk oversat.
