Torsten H.August 2024PositiveThe location on the MönchgutNegativThe place makes a generally untidy impression.Strange placeWe had booked a vacation home on the site, which turned out to be a terraced bungalow. The site advertised free WiFi throughout the site, but this was not the case. They also offered a bread roll service, which works like this: you place your order the day before, the site then forwards it to the baker... and you can pick up your bread rolls from the baker the next day. I've never experienced such nonsense. A restaurant on the square at the edge of the cycle path was closed and the bathing area (beach) is a strip of reeds about five meters wide. If near-natural means that there is junk lying around in some corners of the site in the form of old building materials and the like, that is a bold definition. What was positive was that it was very quiet on the site. We will definitely be back on vacation on Rügen and the Mönchgut, but not on this site again.Automatisk oversat.- André v.July 2024PositiveFresh air and peace. And once again we were able to enjoy the beautiful Mönchgut. We really feel at home on the site and we enjoyed the fantastic location of our pitch with a view of the Zicker mountains every day - despite the wind that blew around our noses from time to time.

This campsite is a little insider tip for nature lovers. It's about 5 km to the Baltic Sea, but it's easy to get there by bike.
The sanitary facilities and the camper kitchen were always clean.

It was also pure pleasure for our dog. You... could start walks directly from the campsite. The beach is within walking distance. There are shops in the surrounding villages. Electricity infrastructure could be expanded.Camping with an amazing LocationDuring our recent stay at Naturcampingplatz Alt Reddevitz, we were captivated by the stunning natural surroundings. The campground is nestled amidst beautiful trees and nature, creating a serene and picturesque setting. The staff were friendly and welcoming, enhancing our overall experience.
One highlight... of our stay was the option to rent bikes. We took advantage of this opportunity and it turned out to be a great choice. The rental prices were affordable, and exploring the area on bikes allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. It also provided the convenience of easily reaching nearby locations.
While the bathrooms were clean, it is worth noting that they had a more old-school barracks-like appearance. However, they served their purpose adequately and were acceptable for our needs during the stay.
One area that could be improved is the electricity infrastructure. It would be beneficial if it were expanded to better accommodate the needs of campers, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience.
It's worth mentioning that we arrived on foot from Göhren, which was a pleasant walk. This approach allowed us to truly experience the uniqueness of Naturcampingplatz Alt Reddevitz. Unlike the touristy and expensive atmosphere of Göhren or Sellin, this campground offered an authentic and natural experience. The local people were genuine, and it provided a sense of the true Rügen. We highly recommend exploring the area with a bike, either by bringing your own or renting one on-site. This way, you can easily access Sellin and enjoy the convenience of grocery shopping there. From the extremely friendly and dedicated hosts to the meticulous cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and showers, the Naturplatz really offers everything you need to really slow down! The shopping facilities can be reached by bike within a few minutes through... a really beautiful landscape of lakes and hills that are relatively easy to explore thanks to the cycle paths.
Since there are no pitch rentals on the site, everyone can choose their own pitch and even if you spontaneously move within the site, there are no problems with the owner but rather recommendations for the next choice of new pitch.Automatisk oversat. - Steffi und Christian L.September 2020PositivePeace and quiet. Everything in the east of Rügen can be reached by bike. Clean sanitary facilities.NegativSanitary facilities are getting on in years. No shopping facilities on site. Relatively many short-term campers.Quiet and away from the crowdsThe natural campsite is located away from mass tourism and is not parceled out. One drawback is the small access road to Altreddevitz. Otherwise, the site is very quiet with a grassy surface.
The owner is friendly, helpful and deeply relaxed and everything is done accordingly on the site. The sanitary... facilities are very outdated and no longer meet current standards. However, they are very clean and are cleaned sufficiently and thoroughly.
Unfortunately, a lot of motorhomes drive through the site (several times) to find a suitable place to spend the night. That was a bit annoying. A good solution for short-stay campers would be to stay in the front area of the site so that it remains a little quieter.
In general, people on the Baltic Sea coast are more relaxed about the distance and hygiene rules regarding Covid19. This irritated and unsettled us somewhat and occasionally gave us an uneasy feeling. This was also the case at the campsite.
If you are looking for relaxation and peace and quiet, this is the place for you. In our experience and comparisons with other campsites, the price-performance ratio is not right. A relatively high tourist tax is added to the price. But that's not the campsite's fault.
What we didn't like were the sometimes free-roaming dogs that did their business everywhere.
Unfortunately, there are no shopping facilities on site.
We liked it and the campsite is a good base for visiting East Rügen.

So everyone should be able to find a spot that suits them. You will definitely find peace and quiet here! The two operators are very friendly and hospitable; everything (reception, choice of pitch, information, invoice...)... is very relaxed and uncomplicated.
There was no bread roll service due to Corona, but there is a bakery in Alt-Reddevitz (approx. 800 m). There are also three restaurants and a café.
The campsite is located directly on the cycle path. You can get to Baabe, Sellin or Göhren quite quickly.
Beautiful walks and hikes can also be undertaken there (Zicker mountains).
