Cleaning the sanitary facilities
Very quiet place
We stayed on the site for 10 days as a couple with a dog, caravan, awning and dinghy with motor. Very nice and competent staff at the reception, as well as all other staff on the site, and the sanitary facilities were only cleaned every 2 days during the week. Only at the weekend, when the permanent... campers were on site, were the sanitary facilities cleaned early every morning. The campsite fees must be paid immediately on arrival. If you go home earlier, as we did, you only get a credit note that you can redeem this year or next year.

CP with advantages and disadvantages
We stayed at the CP with a caravan for 2 nights in September. Quiet and reasonably clean sanitary facilities are important to us, which was partially fulfilled. We were given a very friendly welcome and everything was explained to us. New for us was a key for the sanitary building. It was ok for us,... but a little inconvenient. The site is very quiet at night, which we really liked. Nevertheless, it was a bit uncomfortable as a footpath and cycle path runs right along the shore/CP site. The site itself is located on the beautiful Müritzsee lake with a great little beach, making it ideal for tours into the national park. The pitches are under tall oak trees. We found it difficult to find a "nice" pitch for us. We didn't want to camp on a path (cycle/hiking path or road to the boat site) or between all the permanent campers scattered around the site. It wasn't always clear to us which pitch was a permanent or occupied pitch. In the end, we opted for a pitch on the hiking/cycling trail with a view over Lake Müritz. The night lighting was discreet, which we liked. The sanitary facilities are in a conatiner. There was an unpleasant smell in the ladies' area both days, but the hot water was really hot! The toilets are very quick and unfortunately there is only automatic lighting in the evening. During the day you're basically sitting in the dark. One of the men's showers didn't work, this was immediately reported at reception with the words: "This happens often, we don't know why". Showers only with coins.

Again and again with pleasure
We stayed at the campsite several times in summer 2015, once with a baby and always with dogs. We really like it there and will be back again this year. We always got the pitch we wanted when we booked and even arriving later (after reception closed) was never a problem.

On the edge of a vacation village
I was on the site a few years ago. It's actually a nice place, tall trees, less than 50 meters to the Müritz. Unfortunately, a footpath runs across the site, which doesn't exactly make you feel safe. The wash house is more like a mobile washing trolley. The showers are OK, but they weren't completely... clean. Everything else seemed a bit unkempt. Natural camping doesn't necessarily mean that the site looks a bit overgrown. The reception of the campsite was also the reception of the vacation village, and this is probably the main problem: the campsite is more of a necessary evil than the main task of the operators. There is no real contact person, and virtually nobody is to be seen on the site. In principle, you could pitch your tent there without anyone noticing. This is only good for those who want to pay a fee (ok: you can't get onto the site by car, there's a barrier). Conclusion: actually a great place with the tall trees and the proximity to the Müritz. But there could be more. Therefore only 2 stars.
