We were warmly welcomed by the groundsman Engelbert, who explained everything to us and gave us instructions.
Pool, whirlpool, sauna, clean sanitary facilities, chilled drinks and snacks as well as a nice restaurant nearby.
We were just passing through and therefore unfortunately only stayed one night.

There were only two and then four vehicles on our pitch, despite the Bavarian Whitsun vacations and the best weather. Incomprehensible given the great location, the facilities and the friendly hosts. Die alten H.April 2022PositiveThe location on a slope with a brilliant view Small family campsite with friendly managementNegativThe access road is narrow and steep and requires skill and a feel for the vehicleWonderful viewEngelbert, the site manager, was always very friendly and helpful 👍. The location of the pitch on the slope is brilliant in terms of the view with a great distant view of the mountains!!! The site is laid out in terraces with small pitches, the ground is mainly gravel. The access to the site requires... very good handling of your own vehicle and skill as well as nerves. Our Womo is 7.50 meters long and 2.30 meters wide, which is just fine. The location is quiet on the Sausala wine route. ZT extremely good Buschenschanken for culinary delights in the immediate vicinity😊 as well as various beautiful excursion destinations nearby. The sanitary facilities are simple but were always clean during our stay. Kerstin I.September 2021PositiveLocation, friendliness, leisure facilitiesNegativ---Fantastic locationThe location is a dream. The view changes depending on the time of day and the weather. Sometimes the fog wafts across the plain, sometimes the sun sets over the mountains in glorious colors, simply wonderful. The pitches are sometimes quite tight, especially for caravan trailers, and you need a strong... towing vehicle for the departure, as the road climbs very steeply. But Engelbert, the soul of the site, is happy to help out with the tractor. The sanitary facilities are always clean and the sauna with wood-burning stove is a wonderful place to relax. Engelbert was able to quickly solve the problem of a defective brake on the bike by putting us in touch with a suitable workshop, thank you very much for that.
The area offers many opportunities for leisure activities in the form of hiking or cycling tours, preferably with an e-bike because of the altitude difference. If you are not afraid of a short journey, you should definitely hike through the Heiligengeistklamm gorge to the small church in Slovenia, an absolute hiking highlight. You can eat very well and inexpensively in the numerous wine taverns within walking distance of the campsite. Engelbert also has plenty of tips for this, as well as for a day trip to Graz.
We had actually only booked for four days, but ended up staying seven. That is a rarity for us. As we were partly on our own and really liked it, we stayed 3 nights. The view from the pitch is a dream. The owner family is very nice and we enjoyed chatting with the "manager" (known from travel reports... with Willy on Tour). We had the small pool partly to ourselves and we also liked the sanitary facilities and the bread roll service. An e-bike is an advantage for cycling, as the area is very mountainous and the difference in altitude to the valley is impressive. There are many lovely taverns nearby where you can really enjoy yourself. From our point of view, the place is highly recommended. Many thanks again to the friendly owners.

The terraces are very well maintained and separated by vines, but some are still under construction (June '21).
In the basement of the building there is a small wellness area with sauna, shower,... sitting areas and a whirlpool. During our stay, everything was free to use and the very friendly operator joined us for a glass of wine.
The sanitary facilities are also located in the basement of the building, are a little cramped and older, but very clean. When the site is at full capacity, the capacity limits are certainly reached (men: 2 toilets, 3 showers).

there are currently (as it looked to me) 2 pitches at the top of the road (road means that about one car passes by every... half hour), 2 pitches on the first terrace floor and about 10 on the second floor.
sanitary facilities very clean. for the men there were 2 toilets and 2 urinals, 4 showers and 3 washbasins.
in the upper part of the campsite there is a lounge, a whirlpool and a corner with chilled drinks (money is put into a cash box according to the honesty principle).
in the morning a mobile baker came (bread, pastries, sweets, milk)
the view was a dream!
it didn't affect us personally, but the ascent and descent to the pitches is a bit steep. it was a bit of a challenge for our neighbors to get back up with the caravan.

There are many wine taverns in the immediate vicinity. The site has been lovingly converted into a luxurious campsite by the very nice and very helpful owner couple (small pool, extra dog pool, sauna, whirlpool,... etc.) There are several hiking and cycling tours from the campsite. Very quiet location and yet you are in the center of this wine region. The short descent (20m) to the flat terraces is narrow but easily doable with motorhomes up to 7m. In an emergency, the manager will help with the descent. For larger Womos over 7m the boss has 2 places on the top terrace. Everything is available from supply and disposal, emptying chemical toilets to electricity and water connection on each plot. The pitches are large and have electricity. There is a wonderful rustic open space with an outdoor kitchen and large fridge. Here you can sit together and relax. The showers are large and have hot water. The entire sanitary area... is spacious. Beautiful hiking trails invite you to hike and cycle, although you should bear in mind that it is very hilly when cycling. The surrounding wine taverns invite you to linger. All in all, beautifully situated with a fantastic view and a very nice owner couple.
