Repair and painting work in full swing. We would have had the last 10 months to do this. Public outdoor pool no sunbathing lawn, everything made of concrete. Classic medieval bathing cap compulsory. Even the... free entry is no consolation.
All in all, a nice, level site on a high plateau with lots of potential for improvement in terms of the site's own infrastructure. And therefore excessively overpriced.

The very generously sized pitches can be chosen by the guests themselves and are all easy to access. The sockets are protected with 6 - 10 amps. The sanitary block was spotlessly clean during... our stay and everything worked. Internet is free throughout the site. The various pools were not all open in April. There is a supermarket with normal prices in the immediate vicinity. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Good location for visits to Montepulciano, Pienza or Chiusi. From here we visited the springs of Saturnia and the town of Pitigliano, built on tufa. Had the comfort pitch 145...was great. The 3 pools were great. Sarteano is a nice old town. Good leisure activities. Price is really high with 2 adults and 2 children over... 1500,-€. The absolute majority of guests at the campsite are Dutch families with teenage children. Unfortunately, it was therefore often loud late into the night, especially in the area of our pitch. The site is very conveniently located close to the highway and is perfect for visiting Siena, Pienza, Lago di Trasimeno etc. In the off-season there was no more entertainment so it was pleasantly quiet. Huge pitches and free choice... without having to book in advance. Sanitary super clean and spacious. Just what we needed after two weeks in southern Italy. Finally clean and nice sanitary facilities again. However, despite the low season, we still paid 52 euros for two adults with a caravan.Automatisk oversat.

We really liked the location on the edge of the town, bakery, pizzeria, a bar, a well-stocked Coop... everything within easy reach. We always took our bikes with us, which was useful for the large campsite. We didn't like... the pebbled ground in the pitches, which sometimes even poked through the tent carpet, which wasn't so pleasant. On the other hand, the water in the 3 pools is excellent! Really great! The sanitary facilities are also cleaned throughout the day and everything was very clean. The campsite is also a good starting point for excursions to southern Tuscany. Vesna P.May 2013The camp is very large, a large selection of parcels, each enclosed by trees. Sanitary facilities are very well kept and very clean. Camp staff is generally friendly, with the exception of one receptionist who is not very happy when you visit reception. Camping is an excellent starting point for exploring... Tuscany, but unfortunately very expensive. I highly recommend typical Italian restaurant "Da Lavoriano" in the centre of Sarteano - Via di Fuori 55, about 500m from the camp. It's very small (8 tables), but the prices are very affordable, excellent food and very good service.Automatisk oversat.- Christian A.August 2011We used the site as a transit stop. The pitches are very large and separated by hedges. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly and are extremely clean. The pool facilities are well maintained. The campsite has a nice volleyball and basketball court. The playground for small children is exemplary....
