We particularly liked the remoteness and tranquillity of this small campsite. In the middle of the Frisian Farmersland, both the coast and the nearby towns of Franeker and Harlingen are within easy reach.
The small kitchen and the sanitary facilities were always clean and the hospitality of the landlord... "Rudolf" made us feel very well looked after during our vacation.
Electricity + hot water and canoe rental are included on this campsite.
It is advisable to register by e-mail or phone as the campsite has no reception.

Pure peace and relaxation
The campsite is easy to reach by sat nav, the long access road is wide and asphalted and therefore unproblematic. The site is located behind the farm buildings and far enough away from the nearest road. The plots are very large. There is an unused meadow area in the middle. Water and electricity are... available on site. However, 4 A may be very scarce for an oven or hairdryer. As there is no reception and therefore no office hours, it is essential to register and make arrangements by telephone. If no one is available on arrival, there is a large parking lot and a posted telephone list of available staff. The sanitary facilities are in good condition and were very clean during my stay. The combination of a kind of lounge with information brochures and a generously equipped kitchenette right next to the sanitary facilities is unusual, but quite homely. I visited the site in April 2018 and was almost alone there at times. The host family and their staff were always friendly and helpful. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, if you want to explore Friesland, launch your canoe directly at the campsite and paddle along the small canals to the nearest towns, or if you want to explore the surrounding area by bike on well-developed side roads and cycle paths, this is the place for you.
