"Reasonably quiet city campsite - This is a city campsite in the center of Riga. The campsite is somewhat hidden behind exhibition halls, but is therefore quite well shielded from the city noise and therefore reasonably quiet. The city center can also be reached quite quickly on foot, about 2 km walk. The CP including sanitary facilities was in good condition. The operators were friendly. The price-performance ratio was reasonable.

"Proximity to the city has its price - Ideal as a starting point for sightseeing, but you have to compromise on individuality. Pitches in rows close together on concrete/asphalt or partly on grass and no shade at all. I'm not sure whether only the 140 designated pitches were actually occupied. Comparative price now at €26

"For transit - Ideal parking space when passing through to visit Riga. About 20 minutes walk to the center or by bus from the square. Sanitary facilities in order. Price also ok - € 28 for Womo, 2 persons and dog.

"City camping of the better kind - Conveniently located in the city center/old town, bus one stop (approx. 10 minutes walk), cab (called by the groundsman) 5 euros. Infrastructure great, but not very clean during the day due to the size of the site. It is advisable to arrive in good time, as the demand seems to be high. Friendliness and helpfulness of the site staff very good. Daily city tour in an air-conditioned bus directly from the campsite (recommended).

"Not beautiful, but practical - The location within walking distance of Riga's city center makes up for the commercial area charm of the square.

Everyone is welcome here, with or without a tent. Motorists, bikers or hitchhikers can stay overnight in the city centre paying a moderate price. The camping offers tasty meals, showers and sauna, to pass the night and then to set …forth. For the most active people, we offer facilities for tennis and streetball, roller blade and bicycle rental. It is a great opportunity to explore Kipsala’s remote corners, to view wooden buildings of Pardaugava or to enjoy the tourists’ paradise in the Old Town – hundreds of architectural monuments and pubs. The Riga city camping is located close by the Old Town where are numerous tourist, entertainment and commercial objects. In a couple of minutes walk from the camping, there is a swimming pool, supermarket and ATMs of several banks. Located in the centre of Riga, Kipsala offers a spectacular view to the Old Town. Kipsala is the buffer zone of the Riga historical centre included in the list of the World’s Cultural Heritage in 1997. It is of immeasurable value owing to its relief, landscape and wooden buildings (some of them are fishermen houses built in the beginning of the 19th century).
