- Klaus -Dieter K.June 2024PositiveGood location to BrandenburgNegativThe pitch The showers and much moreNo recommendationWe had booked at short notice and since our caravan is 7.60 long, we did NOT have many options according to the phone call and actually agreed with every place. My wife said to me when we had set up on the assigned place that about 15 meters away there is a container that is probably for garbage. That... can't be, I said to my wife, because that would be an impertinence. unfortunately we had to find out that it was so. from early in the morning until late in the evening, vehicles stopped at short intervals, even campers on foot came to dispose of their garbage. we learned afterwards that there are also reasonable places. well, first get rid of the shopkeepers. on other campsites the economic area is separated from the place by fences. We were lucky enough to be able to watch everyone disposing of their waste and the background noise was excellent from morning to night.the water in the showers was BAD.we had a chat with permanent campers who, after our description, immediately said,ah,frog meadow. We have been to many campsites in Germany, have seen a lot and will visit THESE campsites again. it's just a pity about the vacation, because you don't get your money back after leaving early. take out the card and draw a VERY large black mark.Automatisk oversat.
- Günter M.September 2022PositiveLocation, bathing beach and great cycle paths around the lakeNegativCatastrophic access, no supplies on the pitch, facilities not up to date.A place with a lot of downsidesNature camping on hilly forest ground with dense tree population. Sun and satellite reception hardly possible. Area characterized by permanent campers and dachas (sometimes very unkempt) and motor boaters without infrastructure with a GDR feeling. Unpaved paths with dark sand are not so nice when it... rains. The newer sanitary building is ok, the old ones from the 50s are an imposition. The moorings and jetty for boats date back to the improvised days of the GDR. Motor boaters like to party into the morning. Only one access card per pitch is unacceptable. If one person is on his bike getting bread rolls from Brandenburg, no other family member can use the toilet. That's not acceptable!!!! Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right at the moment.Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrich K.April 2022PositiveThe place, the entire staff.NegativnothingGreat vacation at the BreitlingseeIt was a great, relaxed vacation on the natural site
directly on the Breitlingsee. The sanitary facilities were very clean and
well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful,
especially the manager of the campsite. A particular highlight for my wife and I were the well-developed cycle paths that started directly at the campsite
around the lake and all the way to Brandenburg.
We would love to come back.Automatisk oversat. - Roland S.August 2021PositiveThe peace and quiet and the location by the lake. The groundsman is always on the ball and available.NegativNoneVery beautiful natural campsiteVery nice welcome from the groundsman.
Directly on the lake in Braunschweig Bay. Lots of peace and quiet and nice permanent campers.Automatisk oversat. - Manfred A.June 2020PositiveEverything was very familiar, quiet and very clean. The groundsman was friendly and very helpful, and the permanent campers are also very welcoming and always on hand with help and advice. The management is also open to surprises. Our children paid us a surprise visit and were given a pitch right next to us, many thanks to all the staff.NegativI can't think of anything! Great cycle paths and nature to relax in.A place where you can enjoy nature in peace and quietIf you like nature and peace and quiet, this is the place for you. There is also plenty of space for water sports, a beautiful bathing area and top fishing spots. There is also a dog beach and plenty of space. Fortunately, this place is not for people who just want to party.Automatisk oversat.
- Ilse S.July 2019PositiveBeautiful location, mostly quiet, very nice groundskeeperNegativBullying card system, kiosk tiny and only open by the hour, powdery black sand on the pitch, repairs take weeksDescription only partially correctStay July 2019, 2 adults + 2 children (2 and 5 years). Unfortunately, our stay turned out differently than expected: the spirit of the GDR still blows here! To go to the toilet you need a card (there is only 1 per family!). Once you have made it into the building, you need the card again for the shower... (90 cents for 4 minutes) and washbasin. Shared shower as the ladies shower was only repaired 2 days before our departure (supposedly no hot water). 2 sinks for the whole front part. Access to washing machines and changing room only with card AND key (to be obtained from reception AFTER PRIOR REGISTRATION!). You can only get out of the campsite by pressing a button and only get in with a card. Explain to a five-year-old that his pee-pee has to wait until, for example, grandpa comes from the (very sparsely open) kiosk! Children under the age of 6 are not allowed to use the toilet alone. It is advisable as a family to always do everything together because otherwise it becomes very stressful because of the single ticket! The restaurant: only after booking days in advance, snack bar and pizzeria: not available. Pool: not available. Trampoline: defective. The paths are almost all unpaved, the pitches very small and covered with fine black sand that penetrates through every tent carpet, water 2 pitches away. The newly renovated sanitary building unfortunately only has tiny showers that spray right up to the door. There are NO facilities for small children (low washbasin, children's shower, children's WC....) - I think a playground alone is not enough! The site is completely geared towards the many older permanent campers, some of whom were nice but fiercely defended the card system and "their" sanitary building. Unfortunately, we couldn't just go back - we had booked many months before in ignorance of the actual local conditions. Conclusion: Suitable as a vacation destination at most for control freaks traveling alone. with 2 small children a logistical challenge - no question of relaxation.Automatisk oversat.
- Ernst K.July 2019Positive?NegativCamping ground almost completely black sandy soilDisappointment was greatI had booked for three weeks in advance with the request for a pitch by the water. Unfortunately, my request could not be fulfilled because it was supposedly fully booked. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the picture was different: there were enough free pitches by the water - these pitches were probably... reserved for transients or short-term parkers. Then the women's shower broke down, so without further ado everyone showered together with the men (without prior notice from the management, although there is a second sanitary block). After ten days, there was still no improvement in sight. Last but not least, I wanted to pay by credit card AMEX (it was written in large letters at reception) but unfortunately this was not possible. Unfortunately, the kiosk is only open when the lady who runs it feels like it. You should also know that the campsites are in the back area between the permanent campers !!!Automatisk oversat.
- Holger B.July 2019PositiveCleanliness, friendliness, lots of activitiesNegativBad road to the MalgeA very nice place and very friendly staffI was there for the first week in July and I really liked it. The site and the sanitary buildings are very clean. Ideal place for water rats and water sports enthusiasts. The one negative point (not about the campsite) is the last stretch of road to the Malge. Otherwise I can't say anything negative.Automatisk oversat.
- Peter F.September 2018Positive- beautifully situated in the countryside - inexpensive restaurant in the immediate vicinity - directly on the Havel cycle pathNegativ- Disturbance of the night's rest due to the nearby railroad line and the sanitary facilities (ventilation, etc.)Very beautifully situated campsitedirectly on Breitling Lake near the town of Brandenburg. During my one-day stay in a tent, I only had to deal with very friendly staff. The more modern of the two sanitary facilities was clean and well maintained and the pitch was large enough, the system with the magnetic card (1 per family) as an access medium for everything should be reconsidered.Automatisk oversat.
- Ralf K.August 2018PositiveShort distancesNegativunfriendly staffLong weekend with familyWe were looking forward to a nice long weekend at the lake. Unfortunately, we were told in a rather unfriendly way on the first evening by the so-called night watchman at 9:40 p.m. that we had to keep it down because it was quiet at 10 p.m. We were all very shocked because, as camping professionals, nothing like this had ever happened to us before.Automatisk oversat.
- Jennifer H.August 2018PositiveQuiet location, sufficient capacityNegativNo rubber stoppers at the sinks - enormous waste of water! The card system is very cumbersome. Faulty washing machine.Interesting experienceWe were looking for a stopover and this place was on the way. The approach over the cobblestones is adventurous and I wouldn't knowingly do that to my caravan a second time. The reception was friendly, but unfortunately there was still garbage from the previous campers on the pitch assigned to us. We... were in the rear area, which is dominated by permanent campers. It was therefore rather quiet, which we liked. The sanitary facilities are clearly getting on in years, but were always clean for the duration of our stay. You need an access card for everything on this site, which you receive at the start. However, there is only one card for three people, which you need not only for the sanitary facilities, but also for passing through the barrier. If one person is traveling by car, the rest can only use the toilet at the campsite when the door to the sanitary building is open. Overall, this system is very impractical (especially with children who want to go to the toilet quickly from the playground) because you don't always have the card with you. This is particularly unpleasant at night if you don't remember your card. Showering is also only possible with this card. As you pay for the shower tokens anyway, this access control system is actually excessive. We have never experienced anything like this before... As the washing machine didn't work properly for 2 of the 3 washes, I had to call the staff. The lady was visibly annoyed. In the end, we ended up with dirty laundry despite paying for it.Automatisk oversat.
- Alf K.August 2018Positivegood location - directly on the lake and cycle pathNegativSanitary area only of the lowest standard - annoying fiddling with check cards, without which you can't wash or use the toilet.Lean averageThe site is actually right on the lake. You don't notice anything of the city of Brandenburg (10 km to the city center) here. If it's not the weekend (when we visited, the site was completely full and, depending on the neighbor, terribly loud), it's bearable. The check cards, without which you can't... enter the site or the sanitary facilities, are a real nuisance. Sometimes they suddenly stop working because they have probably been programmed incorrectly. The groundsman is super friendly and helpful. At least there is a shopping opportunity in the morning between 8 and 11 am. The restaurant just around the corner is very good and doesn't have a day off. It's also great that the Havel cycle path runs right past the site! The sanitary facilities are only of the lowest standard. No possibility to dry your hands and I don't think 90 cents for 4 minutes showering is justified!Automatisk oversat.
- Vanessa E.July 2018Family vacationWe have already spent 2 family vacations there and love it. We personally like the natural site and the pitches. The sanitary blocks (one is being renovated) are ok, it's just camping and not wellness ;-) There are fresh bread rolls in the morning and it's only a few minutes' drive to the shops. Just... like the town of Brandenburg. The restaurant around the corner is good, price - performance is right. You can go for a nice walk in the area or go on excursions in the surrounding area. We feel comfortable there, but don't have any great expectations. The next vacation there will definitely come.Automatisk oversat.
- Ro H.June 2018PositiveRestNegativCleanliness generally desirable! Only one reader card for families, you can only shower one after the other. That is the lowest level of all.RatingOverall relatively poor for 3 ADAC tents. The only plus point was peace and quiet. The operator doesn't think much of cleanliness. The spotlights were full of dead insects. Dish washing no plug, crazy waste of waterAutomatisk oversat.
- Manuela H.July 2017PositivePeace and quiet near the lakeNegativOne ticket for two people is not enough.Once and not againThe parking spaces are parceled out, but are very tight. This sometimes makes it difficult to drive in and out. Tall trees on the campsite are nice, but there are just too many here. The more modern sanitary building is ok, but not centrally located, the other is reminiscent of GDR times. The tiles have been painted over, but the paint is peeling. Simply not nice. Our pitch right by the lake was positive.Automatisk oversat.
- Bernd K.May 2017Quite a nice placeYou can easily drive here. Kiosk unfortunately only open for a limited time. Minimal offer. The site is quiet and also suitable for families.Automatisk oversat.
- Volker H.September 2016PositiveQuiet place with a beautiful view of the lakeNegativthe water pressure is very modest, but you can live with it for a few daysWe had a bungalow right next to the slipway, just greatNext year definitely again, was a relaxing short vacation, the bungalows are super nicely furnished with everything you need. Ideal for relaxing :-). The site staff are also super nice.Automatisk oversat.
- Egbert R.May 2016PositivePure peace and relaxation.NegativnoneShort vacation on MalgeVery quiet campsite in a wooded area with direct access to the lake on two sides. Sanitary facilities partly new according to current standards, one is outdated. There were no complaints about cleanliness. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. The site can only be entered with a magnetic card. The entrance... is closed in the evening, but late arrivals can contact the groundsman by cell phone. The groundsman also ensures peace and quiet at night. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The cycle paths in the area are in very good condition.Automatisk oversat.
- Nicole B.August 2015PositiveShady spots, right by the waterNegativSanitary facilities,Not again.Relatively large pitch, but only two sanitary buildings, one of which is still of the old standard. There are no power sockets, soap or facilities for washing your hands. The kiosk is open from 8 - 11 a.m., you can get a hole in your head with the bread rolls and never ask questions, you only get bitchy... answers. Registration is only open until 17:00 (after that it is limited), if you want ice cream or shower tokens after 17:00 this is no longer possible. Dogs can only swim where the boats moor, i.e. "plenty of room to swim". There is no exercise area for dogs. The campsite is clean, but the garbage cans are overflowing. Permanent campers are very friendly. We've been here once and never again.Automatisk oversat.
- Björn A.June 2015PositiveLocated directly on the water.NegativNeglected site with inadequate sanitary facilities.A better motorhome site, nothing more.We were only here for one night, but that was enough. The reception was nice but important information was missing. Card payment is possible but only for certain people at certain times. You get one magnetic card per family to use the sanitary facilities. However, if you have visitors, they are not allowed... to use the toilets. There are also times for showering and washing (not possible from 11 pm to 6.30 am). There are no soap dispensers in the entire sanitary area. There is mold on the silicone seals in the showers, the storage space is far too small and you can hardly manage to take your clothes out of the shower dry again. A 4-minute shower costs 80 cents and has to be purchased with shower tokens. The campsite itself is not rustic, but simply an unkempt place. However, the proximity to the water is a plus for all water sports enthusiasts and the area is also suitable for beautiful cycling tours.Automatisk oversat.
