The traffic howls, but it howls so evenly that you can eventually ignore it. The numerous permanent campers obviously manage to do the same. There is a separate pitch for tourists near the two sanitary buildings. Friendly reception,... bread roll service, free WLAN. The whole site is well maintained and the sanitary facilities are clean. There is actually no toilet paper, which is not only very unusual, but hard to believe. It's really unpleasant to walk around the site with a toilet roll in your hand. The fact that there is (no longer) a restaurant on site is made clear on the website. You can get there quickly but the highway is always noisy. This is understandable and cannot be "turned off" by the campsite. The sanitary facilities are impeccable. Very clean, heated and work perfectly. I was passing... through with my two children with hiking luggage for a multi-day hiking tour and was equally shocked that there was no toilet paper. As we were there on October 3rd and all supermarkets were closed, this was a somewhat unpleasant situation that we were fortunately able to solve with tissues. But honestly: toilet paper shouldn't be a problem at a campsite of this category. If necessary, sell it in the pub. Then nothing gets stolen ;). The tent meadow is quite sloping but there are also pitches that are flat. The friendliness could be improved. All in all, highly recommendedAutomatisk oversat.

The noise nuisance is undoubtedly there but not as bad as expected. Otherwise, we found a very well-kept site with modern and clean sanitary facilities. WLAN is available free of charge, although not... that great. The only thing that is definitely unnecessary is that there is no toilet paper available in the toilets; a circumstance that we haven't seen for a long time and possibly a nasty surprise for someone who doesn't know this. This is already the decisive point of criticism. We stood on a meadow without fixed pitches. The meadow was a bit sloping, so chocks are very helpful. The reception was uncomplicated and friendly. The sanitary facilities... are relatively new, showers are included in the price. Showers and toilets are separate. It is ideally located not far from the highway. The pitches are allocated and you can stay attached. The reception was very unfriendly, you had the feeling of being disturbed. The sanitary facilities are clean. The doors... in the large wash house could be replaced as they are very rusty. Unfortunately there is no toilet paper in the toilets, no soap and nothing to dry your hands with. The site is right next to the highway which is annoying as you can hardly hear it.Automatisk oversat.

But it was surprisingly lowGreat place to spend the nightWe have now been to the site for 1 night on the way there and back to Holland in 2 years, because it is halfway directly next to the highway. Now it is our favorite place to spend the night, because of the nice reception, nice, clean sani, good price / performance ratio and good shopping facilities (REWE,... open at 10 pm - 2.5 km downhill). You can leave the WW attached, which saves a lot of time. I was there to camp with my tent for 5 days. The majority of the guests are permanent campers and very nice. The sanitary facilities are newly built and very well maintained (everything is available, dryer, washing machine, etc.). The camping pitches are... very large and of great quality. We will definitely be back next year. Some write in the review that you can hear the nearby highway - well, then they can also hear the fleas coughing! Occasionally, if the wind is blowing in the right direction, you can hear a little noise, but that's all! I can definitely recommend the site.Automatisk oversat.

Klaus S.August 2013We used the site as a transit site. It is located directly on the A61 and can be reached quickly and easily. Important: take the AB exit towards Maria Laach, not towards Mendig and Autohof, then immediately turn onto the small road at the commuter parking lot, don't get confused. The sanitary facilities... were very clean, you could camp on a meadow behind the buildings, there were plenty of power points, always close enough and the reception was neither particularly friendly nor unfriendly. We were able to pre-order bread rolls for the next day despite arriving after 9pm. We like to use this campsite as an overnight stop to and from Italy and are always pleasantly surprised at how clean the sanitary facilities are here. The pitches are also tidy and clean. Due to the direct proximity to the highway, you can hear the traffic a little, which... doesn't really bother us. The operator and his staff are simple, down-to-earth and nice people who any normal person should get on well with. We certainly had a nice evening in the pub. (unfortunately smoking was allowed there). We will be staying here again next time: good place, clean sanitary facilities, fair prices, you can be on the highway again in no time in the morning, if you like you can have a beer in the pub, everything is OK.Automatisk oversat.

The sanitary facilities are clean, but a little tight (2 showers, 2 toilets). With around 10 overnight guests, it can get a bit cramped. The CP gastronomy is fine. The groundsman is also very good at dealing with stressful situations (due to a big event, unexpected guests were arriving non-stop) and remains super friendly. The sanitary facilities (two toilets, two showers) that we used... (in the building at the front) were very clean. However, there was no possibility to hang up the (self-brought) toilet paper in the toilets. The nearby highway either disturbs you or it does not. We didn't notice it at all. The store on site really only has the bare essentials, e.g. it doesn't stock gas cartridges. The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. All in all, a campsite worth recommending.Automatisk oversat.
