- Felix M.July 2024PositiveShowers, friendliness at receptionNegativNight watchmanGood campsite, except for one thing.Good campsite with lots of facilities. Good views and friendly staff. Unfortunately there is one thing that bothers me, the night watchman. The night watchman has been here at the campsite for many years and is up to mischief. In the last few days we wanted to take a relaxed stroll around the campsite... when an elderly man suddenly stopped us. He asked us why we were being so loud, even though we were speaking in a normal tone of voice, other campers said they hadn't heard anything. 10 minutes later the so-called night watchman came back and said if we didn't keep it down he would send us off the site. I think it's a total cheek to tell us that. But this isn't the first time the "night watchman" has been so conspicuous. Last week, a friend of ours went into the ladies' room. Meanwhile, the night watchman came and harassed the girls present (invading their privacy). At the moment, the other campers no longer take him seriously and no longer pay him any attention. Over the years, he has also made up several names, such as the village sheriff or the old man on the scooter. While people pay attention to other night watchmen and respect them, this night watchman has become a complete laughing stock. So I don't understand why this old man is still allowed to pursue this hobby. I think it puts the campsite in a bad light.Automatisk oversat.
- drjekill ..September 2023PositiveThe situationNegativExpensive, for the price not even showers are included. Better for permanent campers,Upper spit victory, unfriendly,Very expensive, ,,as a single person you have to rent a whole plot. Staff sometimes very unfriendly, apparently completely overwhelmed. Inflexible, used to be a nice place now no longer recommended .....Automatisk oversat.
- Gerrit S.July 2023PositiveView of the sea, new sanitary facilities, bread service, very nice and courteous staff.NegativSanitary facilities could be cleaner, pitches are partly very uneven (holes) and therefore the equipment is difficult to set up in the awning.Very nice, but could be better maintained.Very nicely located CP with great views and good access to the village . unfortunately the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities left much to be desired . But we only have comparative values from Italy or Austria. In defense, however, it must be said that there was a festival next to the CP and therefore many external people used the facilities, so perhaps it was also due to the number of users.Automatisk oversat.
- Dennis Z.June 2023PositiveThe friendly staff and the beautiful surroundings and also the offer with the swimming pool. I would love to come backNegativ-----super hammer simply beautifulSuper friendly staff and a very well maintained campsite I would love to come backAutomatisk oversat.
- Susanne W.May 2022PositiveClean sanitary facilities, pitches now also in 1st rowNegativPrices doubled, although low season and new sanitary facilities not yet ready. Bread roll service still missingWellWe are actually repeat offenders, but that remains to be seen. The prices for a standard pitch without a great infrastructure are exorbitant for the low season. The new wash house isn't ready yet and bread rolls are only available in the village. We booked for the high season at the beginning of the year. Let's see.Automatisk oversat.
- Elmar S.April 2022PositiveThe campsite is located directly by the sea on a meadow with paved paths. Good accessibility to the supply facilities and toilets. Contrary to the opinion of previous campers, these are clean and up to date, including the showers. Improvements have obviously been made here in recent years.NegativWe were on the site on Easter 22. There were floods beforehand, which washed mud onto the paths. These should have been cleaned at least once before being used by many campers, as the subsequent dust formation from dried mud when driving on the site was not particularly nice.Good campsiteA site located in front of the dyke, which is certainly good value for money in the summer months when the paths are clean. We would go there again, but that is certainly always down to the needs and views of each individual.Automatisk oversat.
- Peter L.September 2018Positive1a swimming pool, shop and restaurant nearby.NegativBecause they can also close space, no longer in keeping with the times.SpeechlessCampsite with infrastructure from the 70/80s. Totally outdated sanitary facilities, which are also in a dirty condition. Old can also be clean. No cooking facilities, dishwashers in short supply. Zero recreation room for campers. If you go for a walk on the dyke, you can see where the municipality invested the money. Once and not again.Automatisk oversat.
- Mari B.July 2018PositiveSea, great playgroundsNegativSanitary facilities poor and not cleanExcept for the sanitary facilities, completely okay! The sanitary facilities are an absolute disaster. Very outdated, sometimes not even toilet lids available. Depending on the pitch, long distances to the shower. And swallows' nests in the building. Not cleaned enough. Smells disgusting. At the Jade Bay there is more low tide than high tide, you can't... really swim in the sea, very muddy water and extremely shallow everywhere. But the seawater swimming pool is great and the beach is clean. Great playgrounds.Automatisk oversat.
- Ulrich F.June 2017PositiveNice location. Friendly staff. Clean sanitary facilities.NegativModest offer in the snack bar / restaurant. No access possible after 9 pm. Loud party campers on the tent meadow.Whitsun 2017 - Halligalli on the tent meadowWe had a pitch in the middle of the permanent camper area. The pitch is approx. 8x8m in size. The car is parked in a separate parking lot. Our power cable was unfortunately too short at 20m, as the power boxes were very far away. The pitches are not separated by hedges. Access to the site was relatively... easy. The site is on the outskirts and you can be in the town center in 5 minutes by bike. There is a well-stocked supermarket there. The bread rolls in the bakery (at the Rennweide campsite) are highly recommended. The staff at the campsite are very friendly. The permanent campers also welcome the tourist campers in a friendly manner. Sanitary facilities were ok despite the full occupancy of the site. Unfortunately, the extreme noise pollution from party campers on the tent meadow was not at all acceptable. It was a good 150m from our pitch, but loud music and roaring late into the night were very annoying. The site management didn't seem to intervene here. Many campers / permanent campers were annoyed by this. Instead, the site closes the barriers at 9 pm and you get the feeling that the staff are happy to get off work. The site and the surrounding area are certainly very attractive, but you should avoid long weekends (Ascension / Whitsun), unless you want to party properly.Automatisk oversat.
- Marion C.June 2017PositiveParties possible! Great swimming pool! Nice staff!NegativApproach through residential area with traffic jam.FlexibleThe approach was a bit stressful because you have to drive through narrow residential streets and the traffic jams (the poor residents!), the gentlemen at the reception were obviously a bit overwhelmed with a group arrival (but still remained friendly), the camp neighbors mostly tolerant of moderate... noise (only the teenagers from the campsite were louder ;)...we had a nice weekend and lots of new people at the long table in the middle of our camp! We were allowed to set up our camp as we wanted on the pitches we rented (not allowed on every campsite) and even left it up longer than prescribed on the day of departure. The use of the swimming pool for 1.5 hours a day is included, which our children used with enthusiasm. The beach is also very nice. The sanitary facilities are checked three times a day and are correspondingly clean. We had the "old" sanitary building at the market/restaurant, where I personally found it annoying that the washbasins are not separated and are located in the same room as the sink. The toilet cubicles are also somewhat unfavorably "furnished", so that even as a narrow person you can only get out if you press yourself against the toilet bowl. It's a bit disgusting if you're already wearing sleeping clothes. But maybe the place is due for renovation. I preferred to go to one of the new wash houses. Otherwise, we particularly liked the owner of the "yellow snack bar", who also serves in the market. He always had a good saying ready and was very entertaining and nice! We will be back!Automatisk oversat.

- Frank P.May 2017PositiveSpace size, price - performance and conveniently locatedNegativnoneBeautiful vacation in Varel DangastWe were from 27.05 - 09.06.2017 on this place. Nice reception, great place between permanent campers (who were all super nice), that you could not leave the place at certain times did not bother us, because it was known when the barriers are closed. We bought bread rolls every morning in the E-Center... about 1.5 km away (bag of 5 € 1.50), which you can easily reach by bike. The free use (1.5 hours daily) of the Quellbad is great and was enough for us. The site is probably always quite full, it seems that the sanitary facilities are not sufficient, but this is not the case. The cleaning (adapted to the pitch occupancy) of the sanitary facilities is perfectly OK. We would love to come back!Automatisk oversat.
- Anna v.August 2016PositiveClose to the beach, sea breeze, nice staff, super cleanNegativVery large, tent meadow not really quiet.Beach, sea, sun!We were on this nice site in mid-August. No shade (but that's bad, so close to the sea), some wild people on the tent meadow next door (borrowing chairs at night and not putting them back so that I have to go looking for them the next day, I can't stand that!) Otherwise: super clean sanitary facilities,... impressive for the size, nice staff, and the shared use of the swimming pool is just a great idea, because the sea is always not there when you would like it to be :-)Automatisk oversat.
- C. C.May 2016PositiveLocation and cleanliness TOPNegativVery loud at night....leiderTOP campsite with a drop of bitternessThe campsite itself is top...top location...on the beach..., friendly staff....clean sanitary facilities...Suuuper price-performance ratio...The saltwater swimming pool is very nice....The place itself is "artistic" and simply nice.....:-) The only thing that really bothered us were the HalliGalliPartyPeople... who played very loud music EVERY night of our stay....I don't even know why there are no controls here...Quiet time 10pm is fine if EVERYONE sticks to it....Automatisk oversat.
- Lutz A.May 2016PositiveLocation, playgrounds, free swimming pool, beach bar.NegativOnly baked or fried food on the square and in the barNo Sylt - Dangast!Pay once, everything included. Showers, electricity, daily swimming pool with great slide and steam sauna.Automatisk oversat.
- Dieter B.September 2015PositiveEntrance to the Dangast spring is free once a day, fresh air, well-kept green areas.NegativThe store is extremely expensiveEverything great againBack there for a weekend after a few years. Everything is still as familiar as it was a few years ago. The sanitary blocks have aged accordingly, but the cleaning works wonderfully.Automatisk oversat.

- Hartmut L.May 2015PositiveWide range of leisure activities, beautiful location, friendly staffNegativnothing essentialNice place and nice peopleVery competent and friendly staff. The site is clean and the sanitary facilities are always well maintained, unless some campers think they have to decorate the toilets with paper towels on the floor. The entrance to the saltwater pool included in the price is great. Great for cycling and mudflat hiking. We would love to come back.Automatisk oversat.
- Bernhard F.July 2014PositiveFantastic location, friendly staff, many leisure activities in the surrounding areaNegativOften quite loud at night on the campsiteFantastic location, nice staff, only quite often loud noise at nightThe location of the site is a dream, you can even see the sea from some places. I have always found the sanitary facilities to be clean on several visits as a camper, and the staff are always friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, some campers don't take night calls very seriously and there is often... a lot of shouting and screaming at night, which is very annoying. Nevertheless, a well-deserved five points, because the rest makes up for everything!Automatisk oversat.
