You can explore the surrounding area by bike. What cannot be blamed on the tenant are the cycle paths. The municipality/community needs to come up with something.

We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home despite the long drive. The most important information was provided briefly and in detail on the information leaflet.
There are not only sufficient but... also very clean sanitary facilities and the mix of day guests with bikes and tents, permanent campers and holidaymakers is really great.
The site is beautifully situated right next to the climbing forest, a restaurant and the completely renovated beach behind it.
Both the sand and the sunbathing areas have been redone, there is a playground and a bar as well as the obligatory snack bar/ice cream stand.
There is also a playground directly on the site, although there could certainly be something for the little ones.
On the square itself, which is very long and therefore not crowded and noisy, but very private and pleasantly quiet, you can get smoked fish as well as bread rolls/snacks/small rolls.
Electricity and showers are included.
There are several decentralized garbage bins, washing-up areas and shower blocks, so we never had to queue.
We occupied approx. 8x7 m² and there was still room to the neighbor.
We would be very happy to stay here again to explore the island and the Hanseatic city.Automatisk oversat.

There is a bakery, snack bar and fish.
The sanitary facility in the middle of the site feels like the only one for all campers. At least everyone comes here. There are 2 toilets on each side (men/women) and 4 showers each.
The queue is correspondingly long in the morning... and evening.
The cleaning ladies have a really stupid time. Around 8:30/9:00 in the morning. Everyone runs to brush their teeth or those who didn't get to shower in the evening. Completely impractical.
And cleaning properly isn't really their thing either, as you can see from the black marks in the toilet.
It's half-heartedly clean. Unfortunately, some of the guests are also quite pigs!
Not everyone can pee on their glasses, flush or remove skid marks.
Just like fishing food scraps out of the sink or hair out of the washbasin.
Otherwise it's a nice, simple place. Lots of places to flush and dispose of waste. The distances were really short.

No WLAN.If you are looking for peace and quiet at night, you are in the wrong place hereThe location, facilities and sanitary facilities are fine. Disposal and supply for Womo super. The beach is a short walk through the forest. There is also a bakery on the site, but it only opens for 1 hour in the morning. On the negative side, hundreds of ravens have found a home in the trees around... the camp and make an annoying noise. At night it was quiet for about 5 hours until the cawing started again as soon as it got light. For us at the end of April, this meant that sleeping was over at around 5 am. If that's not enough for you, you should look for another place. Furthermore, you're out of luck if you get a pitch right next to the entrance, as you can see the cars coming in and out at all times. If you would like to watch TV in your camper van in the evening, you should be aware that reception is not always available due to the surrounding tall trees.Automatisk oversat.

Ferry connection to Stralsund in the immediate vicinity. Bicycles can be taken on the ferry. There is a small store and restaurants in Altefähr. The water is a bit muddy at the bottom,... just like in a lake (it is the Bodden). The ferry to Stralsund is very close by. Nice little place, not far from the water. The place is very small. Directly opposite Stralsund. Island brewery can be reached by bike. Otherwise, the island of Rügen can be easily explored by car. Car can not stand on the pitch. small pitches and on it are fixed wooden terraces.... For us, the terrace was too small and so you fell with the chair with 3 people with table regularly almost down behind and the awning could only be used to a small extent, as the rest was extremely muddy because of rain, large puddles form on the pitches.Automatisk oversat.

The lady at the campsite registration desk doesn't have the best nerves and is quickly overwhelmed. All small tent campers are sent to a steeply sloping and overcrowded meadow at... the end of the site, although many normal pitches are not occupied. Washrooms small and far away, but a toilet close to the tent meadow. Clean. Prices normal but Altefähr charges visitor's tax !!!Automatisk oversat.
