"If you like sand, lots of sun and wind - Location is very nice. But very sandy or windy, depending on the pitch. Little comfort, rather nature camping. Parking spaces are not sufficient in summer, parking outside the campsite on Texel requires a parking vignette, which can be booked online. Cars are not allowed on the site. Most pitches cannot be accessed directly. That means → towing.

"Something different... Really great! - We really liked it with our 5-year-old daughter. The pitch and the wash houses are rather minimalist. However, they are clean and functional. It was an adventure in the dunes for our 5-year-old daughter. There is a lot to do on the island. Bike rides, cuddling animals, Ecomare etc. The indoor playground is a good choice in rainy weather. The cars are parked in a central parking lot and the walk can take 15 minutes. However, we found it rather pleasant to see hardly any vehicles in the parking lots. Shopping facilities in De Koog, also within walking distance. We will definitely be back again.

"Campsite with little goodwill - We had booked two nights at the Kogerstrand campsite for the beginning of August 2021. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the booking because NL was classified as a Corona high incidence area. We didn't want to go through the quarantine measures for our (unvaccinated) children on their return. I asked de Krim Texel if we could find an accommodating solution. My recommendation was a voucher for next year. Unfortunately, I was flatly rebuffed and referred to the 10 "Crimean securities" - the booking conditions. I was charged 90% of the camping fees + €26 (!) processing fee. Probably enough Germans come either way and customer friendliness is enough to suggest it on the website. You are just one of many booking numbers.... We will give this campsite a wide berth next year.

"Unique location in the dunes - Even though the weather was sometimes very stormy and chilly, we had a great vacation at the Kogerstrand campsite. The location in the middle of the dunes is unique and very close to nature. No two pitches are the same and the distances to the neighbors are quite generous. The staff were helpful and friendly. Some of the sanitary buildings were a bit old, but always clean.

"Pure nature for those seeking relaxation - If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is certainly the right place for you. Families with small children and dog owners are also in good hands here. It's so great to run along the beach with your dog or explore the island by bike. The beach is just a few steps away, as is the village where you can find everything you need. It doesn't matter that there is no minimarket on the site itself. However, better signage on the site would be desirable. Especially at the sanitary facilities. The main entrance to one wash house is marked 'Ladies' and 'Gentlemen', but when you go in there you are in the dishwashing and laundry room. If you go in from the back, there is no signage at all and you have to use colors that are not quite gender-appropriate (red=ladies, blue=men). I also had to search for the garbage bin after 2 days. Overall, however, a wonderful vacation despite the bad weather (which is not the site's fault) We will definitely be back at some point.

"Not customer-friendly in times of Corona - Management of the campsite not accommodating. Either cancel at the usury conditions or come and keep quarantine after returning from the risk area. Our dear neighbors are not interested in what measures the German government decides, Texel would be safe.....ich think there will be plenty of space on the pitches this autumn, as probably no German will come....... A request for rebooking or vouchers was categorically rejected. Thought in special times you can also make special measures.....but what for you, they get the money anyway

Texelcamping Kogerstrand At Kogerstrand you holiday between the dunes of Texel. The sound of the sea can be heard in the background, a hare sits quietly beside a bush. Your tent or caravan is freestanding in your own dune hollow. …Fantastic location It's impossible to pigeonhole Kogerstrand; not with such a special location on the island. Cross the dunes and the sandy beach lies before you. Walking routes start at the camping site and wind across National Park Dunes of Texel, of which Kogerstrand is part. We have a wide range of options available for campers. Groups and young people are welcome and there are a variety of hikers' cabins available. De Koog The De Koog resort is great for fairs and friendly restaurants. The village has everything you need. Two supermarkets, a pharmacy, butcher and baker are within walking distance of the camp site. Why not browse the clothing and souvenir shops? Our reception can provide you with further information about Texel.

Vejbeskrivelse

Directions Kogerstrand lies at the edge of De Koog. The camping site is easily accessible by car and public transport. By car Travel to Den Helder via the A7 and/or N9. Directions to the ferry are clearly indicated. On Texel, …follow the signs towards De Koog. Once in town, keep right. Continue along Nikadel. Turn left after Super De Boer. Follow the road to the next junction. Go straight up Badweg and drive up the dune. Once on top you'll see Kogerstrand. You can also plan your route via www.routenet.nl Enter Kogerstrand's address: Badweg 33, 1796 AA, De Koog. By public transport Take the train to Den Helder. From the station take bus route 33 to the ferry. You can validate your ticket in Den Helder ahead of your journey to De Koog. On Texel, take bus route 28 to De Koog. Alight at the last stop before Kogerstrand and walk up the dune via Badweg. The camping site is within ± 5 minutes' walk.
