If you don't feel comfortable in a group of mostly other nationalities, then you should move on and not criticize it. We were here for the first time at the beginning of September 2018 and immediately felt at home. The caravan was towed by jeep to a very large pitch with a great view, and we joined 30... (!) other mostly Dutch couples for a tasty and convivial dinner that evening. Jolanda, Ellis, Gre and Tjerk always made us feel very welcome as Germans - no matter where, at the bar, in the restaurant, while hiking or in any other way - just as we made friends with Dutch couples. yes, and we have already completed two double lessons in the VHS Dutch course and have already booked the pitch for May and August 2019. I'm writing this so clearly because we believe that if a Dutch couple owns and runs the campsite in the second generation, that's just how you'll find it. If you like it like we do, you'll feel right at home. Those who don't - may move on. What bothered us was the relatively careless way in which dogs were required to be kept on a lead. What we found great: Ellis cooks for herself in the evening on 5 out of 7 days of the week (very good value for money) and also bakes baguettes and croissants. The swimming pool with counter-current system is nice and cool and the water is crystal clear. Some of the large pitches are beautiful. For campers, extremely beautifully situated pitches very high up with fantastic views. Geologically very interesting area (meeting of Eurasian/African plate). And: Gigant motorhomes can't take the sun away from you here because they can't even reach the pitches.

Dutch enclave
A charming, clean and tidy site in a charming area, with beautiful, albeit not always very spacious pitches, some of which are not easy to access (there is a towing aid for WW by off-road vehicle). There are wonderful walks from the site (e.g. to the Col de Sauzet). The operators are super nice and everything... would be fine if there weren't a few things we didn't like so much: 1. the excessively expensive internet (external provider) is no longer up to date! 2. only cash payment possible (a place to withdraw money is a few kilometers away). 3. a Dutch enclave. Let's get this straight: The Dutch are nice, friendly people who we really appreciate and with whom we have no problems whatsoever. The campsite is probably 90% occupied by Dutch people. That's fine too. But if the signs, menus, entertainment announcements, etc. on a campsite in the middle of France are primarily written in Dutch (sometimes, but not always, also in French), then that is simply not okay. We, who speak good English and French, found it difficult to understand everything. THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT! And if the communal dinners, the pool and activities are mainly dominated by Dutch, then that's too much for us. We actually traveled to FRANCE (!!!) and not to HOLLAND. If that doesn't bother you, you'll certainly feel very comfortable here. But it was just too much HOLLAND for us.
