- Manuela B.September 2024PositiveUltra fast check-in, totally uncomplicated, nice quiet place. Close to the highway which is not audible.NegativOnly one sanitary facility, which can be a bit far away depending on the pitch. But that's a lot of complaining :-) Electricity and water have to be paid for separately. Coins are therefore essential.Great little campsiteWe were only there for one night just passing through. But it would also be good to stay there for a few days. It was easy to check in at any time using a machine. The site and facilities were clean and well maintained. We can recommend the site.Automatisk oversat.
- Anna P.September 2024PositiveVery flexible and uncomplicated thanks to the vending machine at the entrance. Clean sanitary facilities. Very nice overall.NegativNoneUncomplicated and cleanNice stay, there is also a small playground for children. We are satisfied and would love to come back!Automatisk oversat.
- Petra S.May 2024PositiveWell-kept site and nice operators. We left earlier than planned because our awning broke down.NegativNo disadvantages. The A7 is within earshot.Married coupleThe pitches are well-kept and tidy. Many are paved, so you have to be careful if you want to pitch an awning. But there are plenty of pitches to choose from. We were satisfied.Automatisk oversat.
- A. B.July 2023Positive+ 24-hour check-in + Location of the pitchNegativ- Shower cubicles (no room for your clothes in the cubicle)Quiet and idyllic campsite with 24-hour check-inWe used the campsite as an overnight stopover. Thanks to the 24-hour check-in, we didn't have to spend the night in a public parking lot, as a full closure on the A7 took us a little over five hours that day.
The site is idyllically and quietly situated on the edge of the forest not far from the A7,... and nothing could be heard from the freeway, which is about 800 meters away. The pitches are spacious and mostly consist of a gravel and a green area. The sanitary facilities were absolutely clean. There are 4 showers each for men and women, which could be a bit small when fully occupied. The shower cubicles are curtained and there is no room to change or hang your clothes in them, this has to be done outside the cubicles. The site has a swimming pond which is fed with spring water. There is a bread roll service if ordered in advance and the sale of ice cream, chilled drinks and barbecues.
We found the prices fair (pitch €10, from 14 years €5, up to 14 years €3.50 and dogs €2/day, showers €1/5 min, electricity €0.80/kWh, water €0.10/10L).
A site that is also suitable for more than just a stopover. We can recommend the site.Automatisk oversat. - A. J.April 2023Positive- Bread roll service - Community evenings - Free choice of parking space - Washing machine and dryer - Very clean - Very friendlyNegativDepending on the pitch, the path to the sanitary block is a little further.Short vacation over May 1stThe site is super quiet and idyllic.
Very nice operators who always take care and help at any time.
The sanitary facilities were very clean.
The washing machine and dryer were also very clean, so we were able to take all our clothes home clean and had no more stress at home.
Lots of great pitches, which... are all gravelled but still have a grassy area. The upper pitches have a really great view.
WLAN is also available.
During our visit, there were community evenings on Saturday and Sunday with delicious food and a fire bowl. It was really great!
We will definitely be back in the near future.
Keep it up...!
Thank you for the great stay at the campsite.Automatisk oversat. - Juergen S.March 2023Positive-very friendly staff -Clean sanitary facilities -Large pitches -fenced dog meadowNegativ-nothingEven with a dog runClose to the highway, nice place to stay even for several days, hiking possible, shopping nearby. - Ortrud N.March 2023Positive24h registration possible, close to the highway, bread service, swimming pond, quiet and idyllic.NegativNo restaurantNice quiet camping/motorhome siteWe were able to arrive at any time and enjoy the idyllic setting. It was easy to register via the terminal. We chose a pitch up by the forest and enjoyed the view. There is also a large pitch for larger mobile homes down by the bathing pond. Our dog had a great time in the fenced-in dog run. We also took advantage of the bread roll service. We really enjoyed our short vacation and the site manager was also very friendly.Automatisk oversat.
- Olaf B.July 2022PositiveVery scenic, good connections, very nice teamNegativNo real ones.Very pleasantly surprisedHello fellow campers,
I suspect that this campsite is still quite unknown, so here's a report on my experiences.
I was invited to a wedding in Salzgitter at the weekend. I did a bit of research on where I could
and came across the Ambergau camping park.
I called to see if there was anything available,... and off I went.
The site only opened in March this year. The operator has been working for two years to bring the site up to scratch, which he has done brilliantly so far.
There is currently "only" one sanitary building. A second one is being planned and will be necessary when it gets off to a good start. There are currently 4 showers each for men and women. As it is a former naturist site, clothes hooks are in short supply :-). In any case, everything is very clean and tidy.
There is a terminal at the entrance where you pay. Access is possible 24/7. Electricity is paid for at appropriately distributed columns.
The pitches are gravelled and all level despite the slope of the site.
There is a bread roll service and free WLAN where available.
Footpaths and cycle paths start from the site, making it a good starting point for various tours. The Harz Mountains are approx. 30 km away.
As I said, the place has only opened in March, and there is a lot of potential in it. I wish Mr. Oldenburger, who by the way is very nice and takes excellent care of his guests' concerns, and his entire team every success.Automatisk oversat.
