- Jevoul J.July 2022Positivesee commentNegativsee commentVery nice campsite!I'm not really a review writer, but this campsite simply comes off too badly in the few reviews. We stayed here for 9 days in the summer of 2022 with 3 teenage kids and a large tent. We had a very nice time. Everything was spotlessly clean and very nice pool facilities. The entertainment program was also great fun. The beach was perfectly fine and the small town was also very nice for an evening stroll. We would come back at any time.Automatisk oversat.
- Sandra N.August 2019NegativUnfriendly, unkempt and not worth the money!Yelloh! is not just Yelloh!Spoiled by the Yelloh! in Lacanau, we wanted to start our vacation on the Mediterranean this year. After just two nights, we abandoned this plan and headed back to the Atlantic. We received an unfriendly welcome at Beach Farret, and the beach and sanitary facilities were dirty and unkempt. The designated... dog exercise area was a shitty meadow and was no place to run or walk. The pitches are equipped with electricity, but you have to search for water for a long time. The few water points are unkempt and not really inviting to use.Automatisk oversat.
- Buderath P.September 2018Positivevery nice location and direct access to the seaNegativWater supply for pitches like in the Middle Ages Poor and unhygienic sanitary facilities in the annexesWhy 5 stars? For approx. 200 pitches (caravan/camper/tent) only two water taps in very poor condition, sanitary facilities without hand basins only possible at the sinks. Unfriendly reception staffAutomatisk oversat.
- André E.July 2018PositiveSwimming pools. Close to the beachNegativLoud. Very loud. Divided into three areas.Noise from all sidesIf you are looking for a party, this is the place for you. Those looking for peace and quiet are completely wrong. The square is located at the end of a typical mile of shopping and food stalls that you find in very touristy areas. It is divided into three areas, which are separated by a busy road, although... due to the narrowness and heavy beach traffic, people usually only drive at walking pace here. Pitches are located in the main part and about 300 meters away, down the road, in a separate area. Our pitch was nice and big but almost completely without shade. The walk to the beach from here was just 50 meters. In my opinion, this part of the campsite does not deserve 5 stars, rather three. The fact that you have to cross the road to get to the main part with the shops, entertainment and swimming pools makes you feel somewhat exposed here. I would therefore not let children go to one of the swimming pools on their own. The pitches on the main square are mostly in the shade/semi-shade but also in the epicenter of the evening events. The noise was really annoying even on the outsourced pitch in the tent. I'd rather not know what it must be like right next to the swimming pool with the evening events. Unfortunately, music and noise from the nearby entertainment mile and the surrounding campsites also echoed over to the pitches. This creates a cackophony that continues to disturb you long after the events on your own campsite have ended. The two bathrooms are beautifully designed. The larger one, designed in the style of a Mayan temple, is mainly aimed at adult visitors. There is a bar in the pool, whirlpools etc., which are only open to visitors aged 16 and over. A roofed section behind it is more for the kids. Sun loungers are relatively rare here. Some shaded loungers may only be used if you make a certain amount of money at the bar. The pool in the main part is also very nice. Here you can jump and play to your heart's content. The sunbathing areas here are sufficient and beautifully designed. The beach is quite beautiful, divided by stone groynes that run into the water. The water is quite warm and very shallow. We won't be back. But others will certainly feel very comfortable there.Automatisk oversat.
- Frank K.July 2017PositiveProximity to the beachNegativNo helpfulness, no water connection at Beach Farret, very mullig; very narrow lanes, not suitable for large trailersThere is no hope of helpA good site in itself, we were also quite satisfied, but one experience overshadowed the whole vacation, because you can't count on help if you have problems on this site. The water pipe in my caravan was leaking and the entire 50 liters of water leaked out of the caravan. I asked at reception for a... small hose connector from the technicians, as it was Sunday and the stores were closed. The management then informed me that campers would not be helped for the caravan or motorhome due to possible recourse claims. My advice to waive this in writing did not help either. So if you're a guest in need here, you can't hope for any help. I have never experienced this before, very poor service. I'll probably go to a different campsite next time. :-)Automatisk oversat.
- Holger M.June 2016PositiveEverything on site & good for childrenNegativProbably overcrowded in high season (central France).great in the pre-seasonWe were there in June 2016 and were very impressed. It wasn't too full yet, but this will change quickly in the high season, e.g. towards the end of our vacation we couldn't easily get a lounger/seat in the pool area. Good facilities for children aged 1-8, although often more decorative than playable.... Pitches are very sandy. Noise level: the restaurant and bar area is to the west, Remidemi was already there. The entertainment starts at the "Pirates Bay" swimming pool in the evening, which can be heard relatively far across the site, but ends at 11pm. If you want to have it quiet, you should choose the "Beach Farret" part of the site in the east, there are no bars etc. on the cul-de-sac there and the pitches looked bigger.the Google Earth picture is no longer up to date, the part is east of the "Chemnin des Rosses" at the end of the road by the sea. Sanitary and pool area were spotlessly clean! Dogs are allowed, the dog ban on the campsite beach was often ignored, but the dogs were on a leash, so it was no problem for children. There doesn't seem to be a dog ban on the beach in front of Beach Farret. The sea water was apparently clean and you could go swimming. The supermarket is better stocked than the one in the village, there are even butchers and bakers. However, the prices are not cheap. There is a cycle path in Vias-Plage that leads to Vias and also to the Canal du Midi. However, the cycle paths are more suitable for more experienced children. Some of the paths along the canal are unpaved. The staff at the campsite are very friendly. The clientele is international, many Brits, but also Danes, Swiss, Belgians etc.Automatisk oversat.
- Thorsten R.May 2016PositiveService, site design, swimming pools, sanitary facilities, cleanliness, beautiful direct beach location, audience, compatible animationNegativPitches sometimes a little small, in some places narrow paths for larger caravans, beach may be a little too small in high seasonProfessionally managed, well-kept and cozyThe site is very well organized. Everything - facilities and grounds - always well maintained and cleaned, great sanitary facilities - equipped with toilet paper, disinfectant spray in the toilets, soap and hand dryers, always clean, very nice and well-kept swimming pools, tidy restaurant and take away,... pitches are sometimes a little too small, the paths a little narrow, but all feasible, some pitches directly on the beach (separated by a fence). Beach accesses are closed late in the evening. Good reception, friendly and service-oriented staff. Wonderful and spacious adventure playground. Very good value for money during the Whitsun vacations.Automatisk oversat.
- Markus G.September 2015PositiveSanitary super clean Beautiful pitches Staff very friendlyNegativSound system for the evening eventBeautiful campsiteWe were at the campsite at the beginning of September. Still quite full in the first week. Super friendly staff at reception. Pitches nicely laid out. The sanitary facilities are good and cleaned regularly. The beach is fine sandy and has enough space. The pool is nicely laid out. In the main tourist... season the number of sunbeds might be too low, but when we were there it was no problem at all. In the evening there is an evening program that "sounds" the place. For those who like it.Automatisk oversat.
- Frédéric K.September 2015PositiveGreat location, large pitches, clean toilets, nice staffNegativWater withdrawal for motorhome water tanks in the Tamaris camping section, lack of gray water disposal in the Tamaris camping sectionFrédéricThe south-eastern part of Camping Farret, which is called Tamaris, has very large pitches. Some directly behind the dunes by the sea, others a few meters further away. The only disadvantage of this separate, beautiful part of the campsite was that the water taps dotted around the site only had one liter... of water at a time, so you had to press the tap again. This means that you have to drive your vehicle to the other part of the campsite to fill the camper van water tank, as well as to dispose of the gray water. The best way to get to the campsite's shopping center from the Tamaris part of the campsite is by bike. But of course it is also possible on foot. The bathing facilities integrated into the campsite are very nice and spacious. They are very suitable for children of all ages.Automatisk oversat.
- Michael S.August 2015PositivePOOLS!!!!Negativnow too many containers->too many guests in the HSjam-packedWe have been to the site several times at the beginning of the season and this time we drove there with the motorhome in August without a reservation, of course. At the entrance we already suspected that it would be very busy. At reception we were told that ALL the rental accommodation and ALL the pitches... on all 3 campsites were completely full. After a quick look around, this was absolutely plausible - crowds everywhere ..... wouldn't have been for us anyway, so we moved on and looked for somewhere else, but -almost- everything was full. CONCLUSION: a dream place with sensational pools at the start of the season, but you have to like mass tourism in high season.Automatisk oversat.
- Anna R.August 2014PositiveLocation to the beach, nice staff, very shady!NegativLoud at night, full during the French vacations.Great location to the sea - bad location at the other end of the CPStayed there for 2 weeks with our two small children during the summer vacation. Very nice welcome at reception - they speak above-average German! Unfortunately, the pitch is a sea of sand - the first three days were therefore very stressful until everyone got used to camping in the sandpit. You can... get everything you need at the campsite - and if you need more, there are supermarkets and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. That brings us to the bad taste of this campsite - noise until 3 a.m. if you choose the rear pitches. The adjoining party mile has no tolerance for sleeping neighbors :((( It's not equally bad for everyone, as everyone feels differently, but our neighbors left early because of this. The pool and playgrounds were good to very good - the beach was great and the sea was a blast (a bit cold, but super shallow and crystal clear for the kids to run in). The attached rock wave breakers also made for a nice snorkeling trip with lots of fish, crabs and shells. All in all, it was a great vacation for us, as our nights are usually interrupted by the kids - in this case with background music! Please note: All but 120 pitches will be converted into bungalows by 2015!Automatisk oversat.

- Philipp S.July 2014PositiveBeach, friendliness, cleanlinessNegativPrice, pitch sizeGood place, but party in the village and please reserveWe didn't plan our summer vacation in detail: "We'll take the WW to wherever the weather is good! Condition: The sea!" - In the week before our departure, the French Mediterranean coast emerged as our destination, as the condition "good weather" only seemed pretty certain there. We set off with a photocopied... page from a friend's camping booklet. There was a site in our destination area on it: Camping Club Farret in Vias Plage. Vias Plage greeted us with a lot of traffic and a dead end with very few turning options. That's what happens when you don't program your sat nav correctly and your wife doesn't believe that it goes off to the left. After we finally found the site, we received a very friendly welcome at reception. As my French isn't that bad, the lady at reception didn't pass me on to her (German) colleague who looks after the German-speaking guests. As the site is well booked and we didn't have a reservation, we were given a few "transit guest seats" to choose from. After a brief tour, we decided on a pitch right next to the tennis court - having been warned that the main (party) road runs directly behind it and a disco is not far away. The courts are mostly sandy and rather small. The whole place is rather noisy during the high season. The sandy beach is very nice, only the "safety fence" takes some getting used to. We and our children will certainly be happy to come again.Automatisk oversat.
- Robert F.May 2014PositivePerfect for cycling along the canal du midiBeautiful campsite with sandy pitches that are often long and narrow. The sanitary facilities are nice and very clean, the stores very well stocked. The staff are very friendly, but sometimes they don't think along at reception. You are sent to choose a pitch, but only get a list of free pitches on your... second visit. Like us, we chose our seats, but unfortunately everything was reserved even though they were currently free. The restaurant is great, there is also a takeaway, sandwich store and pizza store. We've already written about the pools. All in all, a nice place for the early and late season.Automatisk oversat.
- Dieter d.September 2013We have only ever been there in the low season and are delighted with the location right by the sea, the clean sanitary facilities and the well-kept site. Since our previous visit, a nice swimming area for children has been created on the part of the site on the other side of the cul-de-sac - where most of the mobile homes are located - which means a lot of relief for the not too large pool area by the pitches.Automatisk oversat.
- Christoph R.June 2013We stayed at Club Farret at short notice at the end of June 2013. 5 stars and the positive reviews made us want to stay there for a few days. After arriving, however, we almost wanted to leave again. In our opinion, 5 stars are only justified for parts of the campsite. We also felt that the prices were... too high for the quality. The pitches are very sandy and unkempt. Our favorite beach pitches, one of which we finally booked, were beautiful as they had a direct view of the beach and the sea. However, for security reasons, you look out over a fence that resembled a high-security prison fence. You get used to it over the course of 10 days, but it's different. The 4 beach entrances were closed at 9 pm. From then on you no longer had direct access to the beach. Negative. The sanitary facilities were far from clean and partly outdated. There was only a newer toilet facility at the back of the pool which was better. The pool was actually great. We cannot recommend the food in the restaurants. The fish platter gave the whole family diarrhea on the very first evening. Also beware of the right-hand area of the campsite near the beach! This is close to the "party mile" which is directly adjacent to the campsite. If you like it quiet in the evening, you should book the left-hand area by the beach. This party and shopping mile is very reminiscent of the ham street in Malle. Lots of bars and restaurants and cheap stores selling clothes, beach gear and souvenirs. The quality of the restaurants is more reminiscent of snack bars. Not recommended. The new pool area with the rental chalets on the other side of the street is really nice. You really get a vacation feeling there with all the palm trees and white chalets. The old pool is also nice. The selection in the supermarket on site was positive. The bakery and butcher were excellent. You should buy beer elsewhere, as well as other drinks. Completely overpriced. But that's normal on campsites. You can shop well outside the campsite in the neighboring villages.Automatisk oversat.
- Michael N.June 2013We stayed at the campsite for 1 week. Positive: Great playground and the proximity to the beach. Negatives: At night, sometimes loud music (bass) from the neighborhood of the CP until the early morning hours. The campsite is completely fenced in - probably for security reasons. Especially on the side... facing the sea, where there are also pitches, you have the feeling of looking at a border facility. Overall, we liked the camping feeling on the site. If that's not so important to you, you certainly can't go wrong with this campsiteAutomatisk oversat.

- Markus S.September 2012Yes Club Farret, this is our absolute favorite place, right by the sea not far from the Canal de Midi, the staff is very friendly and competent. The small supermarket is well equipped and has a super meat department, the restaurant with a view over the sea is always to be recommended, we also liked the... evening events at the campsite which take place at the pool in the season, not to forget that you can easily cycle to Vias where there is a market twice a week where you can buy fruit and vegetables from the farmers in the surrounding area and then have a pastis in the small pedestrian zone, the pitches have recently been slightly enlarged so that there is something for everyone.
