We keep realizing that as a couple, without children, we are very disadvantaged. Why can't you plan for couples traveling without children to have a relaxing and restful stay? Why does this group of people have... to be accommodated at a playground when families with children can be there? After all, they also use this opportunity to have fun. There was electricity on site, but no drinking water.
The campsite offers everything a camper could wish for. It was an almost ideal stay for us.
Only the booking turned out to be extremely unfortunate.... It is only luck to get a pitch there.
To sum up, I would definitely like to come back again.
If I'm lucky enough to get a pitch again, it won't be at any price. Dirt left behind in the toilets and washbasins were left in the same place for days. It would be better to use specialist staff here. Especially when the campsite is fully booked. After contacting the campsite, a pitch measuring 7.5 x 10m (supposedly the largest) was reserved. On arrival we discovered that the pitch only had approx. 7 x 7m of usable space. Plus approx. 2 x 7m behind a tree. And... that for our 560/2.5 plus children's tent! That was fine! It was still annoying. Otherwise a superbly located campsite, laid out in terraces. Very narrow access roads to the pitches! Space infrastructure for a place with 5 stars inadequate! No own electricity connection, no water connection on the pitch, no waste water either. No aerial connection, no free aerial facing south! Pool area super! Extra pool, very, very nice, for adults! If you want, there's entertainment all day long! Eternally long, very well-kept sandy beach, idesl for surfers (surf school in the complex). Beautiful village center with everything you could wish for. Sanitary: well, just the south. There is plenty of cleaning, but the (new) sanitary facilities are relatively basic. Staff are super nice and helpful. Overall, a feel-good resort with minor flawsAutomatisk oversat.

Close to excursion destinationsNegativCleanliness of sanitary facilities has decreased slightly compared to 2018One of the best places I knowThis was our second year there and we will be back next year. This place is second to none on the Atlantic. Primarily geared towards families with small children. Especially in the low season. Great activities for the children. Playground was redesigned this year. The sanitary facilities are fantastic!... Even if the overall cleanliness was better last year, it's still great! They are cleaned 3 times a day. Extra children's showers, heated areas, pool landscape, wellness application, very good supermarket, nice bar, fresh pizza, restaurant. Everything you need is there. Very close to the center of Lacanau Ocean (walking distance), Eldorado for surfers. Many sights nearby... Pitches partly small, will be. But then allocated for tents. Terraced terrain. You have to walk uphill from here. Access is quite narrow - but you can get anywhere if you know your vehicle. The prices at the bar and snack bar are quite high (beer 5-7 euros, pizza around 12-13 euros, chicken 20 euros!!!, nuggets with chips go for 6 euros). There are also fresh salads, pasta for the children etc. but you have to pay for that.... if you want, you can also book half-board. In the season there is a market on Sundays, children's disco or other concerts in the evening. But everything is very pleasant and not over the top.Automatisk oversat.

On arrival, we were taken to our pitch by a German-speaking member of staff. It quickly became clear that we would not be able to park the caravan on our own. The employee immediately called for help... over the radio and a few minutes later 3 campsite employees helped us to position our campervan correctly. What a great service! The beach is a bit far away, but at least you don't need a car. But we thought the Atlantic was simply fantastic! The waves were different every day, the tides varied and the daily sunsets were amazing! The pool area (heated!) is interesting and spacious. We had a quiet and beautiful pitch by the pine forest and didn't notice the entertainment (until 11pm). Sanitary is good, is cleaned several times a day, even if no toilet seats and lids do not meet a 5 star standard.Automatisk oversat.

It is a hilly site in the pine forest. The paths are quite narrow in places and a bit challenging with a large trailer in a few places, but doable. In our opinion, the pitches are quite different in size.... We liked the ones that were car-free and close to the center better. However, the pitches do not have direct fresh water and waste water connections. Depending on the location, a long cable is recommended for the electricity connection. Check in and check out very straightforward. Wearing a wristband is compulsory. The site is very well maintained. The sanitary facilities are cleaned almost around the clock during the day. Toilet paper, soap, hand dryers, hot water and sufficient pressure in the showers. The wash house close to the center on the market square was the busiest, we found the other wash houses to be quieter. The swimming pool is very nicely designed with the current channel, the slides, the children's pool and the indoor area. There are plenty of loungers and umbrellas available. The adult pool, which is located in a completely different part of the campsite, is also pleasantly quiet. There is also a wellness center on the campsite - but we did not use it. There is a well-stocked supermarket, restaurant, pizza, burger, ice cream and crepes stand and drinks bar on the campsite. The town of Lacanau-Ocean is approx. 1 km away and can be easily reached on foot. There are also supermarkets, numerous stores, bars, restaurants and ice cream parlors. There is a large market on Wednesdays. The children's entertainment team has German-speaking staff. We had no communication problems at all on the entire campsite during our stay. All the staff wear name badges with the corresponding flags on them, so you can speak to them - we thought that was great! In the evening, bands played several times a week or the entertainment team organized the evening. It was absolutely quiet at 11.00 pm at the latest - which was adhered to. The great location to the Atlantic Ocean, which can be reached via a 400 meter long footpath, made this vacation perfect for us as a bathing and relaxing vacation in great weather (28-31 degrees).Automatisk oversat.

There was everything you need and lots to do. The path to the sea is really nice! The sanitary facilities are very well equipped and are also kept very clean. Especially the sanitary facilities for people with disabilities are... very good, I have never seen anything so good anywhere else. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The two pool facilities are very useful, a fun pool for romping around with background music and a so-called Zen pool for swimming laps and relaxing. Something for everyone. There were still 10 pitches available that we could choose from. The pitches were very large. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day. The beach was about 500 meters away. Kilometers of fine sandy beach as far as the eye can see. However, we missed... showers on the beach. The entertainment program was excellent, there was often live music in the evenings. After 11 pm it was absolutely quiet and you could sleep very well. Can recommend this campsite.Automatisk oversat.
