- Dominic M.August 2023PositiveYstad is easily accessible by bus and bicycle.NegativA little tight.Camping near the cityI would describe the campsite as functional. It's easy to get to Ystad. Either by bus or in a few minutes by bike.
The pitches are rather small. The sanitary facilities are also functional. The store sells the essentials.
The restaurant was privately booked one evening. The solo entertainer entertained not only the guests but also the campsite with his party hits. Shortly after 22:00 it was over and it was a quiet night after all.Automatisk oversat. - Norbert M.July 2022Positive-Negativcramped - loud - expensivedisappointingIf you like a campsite with big city charm...
the pitches are cramped - always full - sometimes overflowing garbage containers on Sunday evenings - queues at the sanitary facilities - the whole thing is always noisy due to road and rail noise - but then you pay SEK 460 per night for that
We will not be coming backAutomatisk oversat. - Sabine H.July 2022PositiveThe beach is great. You can be in Ystad in 10 minutes by bike. The store is well stocked.NegativThe site has some very small pitches. The sanitary facilities are very old and not available in sufficient quantity. It is noisy. There is a busy road on one side and the railroad on the other.Full and tightI didn't like the place at all. It was noisy and very cramped. The sanitary facilities were totally outdated and also very cramped. There were also far too few toilets, showers and washing facilities for the many people. There were regular waiting times for showers, but there was no room to wait at all. There were also no squeegees for the showers.Automatisk oversat.
- Peter B.August 2021PositiveThe space as a whole is fine.NegativThe proximity to the street. No campsite for travelers with a tentThe sanitary facilities are fine. If you are traveling with a tent, you should look for another place, because the tent meadow is located directly on the thoroughfare. The advantage is the proximity to the ferry.Automatisk oversat.
- Roland S.May 2019PositiveConvenient location to the city and the beachNegativTraffic noise near the roadCity and beach campingWe spent a weekend in mid-May exploring Wallander's area. Mostly permanent campers, but still enough free pitches to choose from. A little noisier near the road, otherwise quite quiet. Good footpaths and cycle paths to the town center (1.5 km) or to the beach (400 m). Sanitary older but well maintained and clean. Butik (groceries/bread rolls) only open at weekends in low season. Staff friendly and helpful.Automatisk oversat.
- Kerstin I.May 2019PositiveCleanliness, friendliness, good connections with cycle paths and footpaths, beautiful beachNegativLocation between road and railroad lineKeeps what it promisesThe site is mostly occupied by permanent campers, of whom there were only a few at the time of our stay. As we were pretty much in the middle of the site, we didn't find the road or the train disturbing. The sanitary facilities, which were spread over several buildings, were well equipped and well maintained,... as was the kitchen. We arrived in the morning and were allowed to choose our own pitch. In the afternoon, the new arrivals were allocated the remaining spaces by the very friendly staff. We can award further plus points for the short distance to the very beautiful beach and the town center of Ystad. A well-marked cycle path takes you there in just a few minutes. Other recommended destinations are the boat launch in Kaseberga and the dream beach in Sandhammeren. If you are a little fit, you can easily reach these destinations by bike. We can highly recommend the campsite for a short stay of a few days.Automatisk oversat.
- Walter D.August 2017PositiveConveniently located, beach within walking distance.NegativA little louder depending on the location, road and train.Overnight staySuitable as an overnight stop for motorhomes, explore the area by bike and more.Automatisk oversat.
- Andrea A.August 2017PositiveBeautiful beachNegativDirectly on the main road E9Located directly on the E9The place itself is quite nice. Unfortunately, we were unlucky and got a pitch right on the main road for our one night. So nothing for noise-sensitive people. If you went to the service building in the middle of the site, you couldn't hear anything from the main road or the railroad line.Automatisk oversat.
- Martin T.July 2017PositiveWell maintained facilityNegativLocation between road and railroadWell-kept place and friendly receptionNeeded a place for the transit - this turned out to be ideal. Friendly reception, beautiful pitch (lawn), well-kept grounds. Top sanitary facilities (modern and clean). A store for groceries on site. The only disadvantage (especially for those sensitive to noise) is the road passing directly in front of the campsite.Automatisk oversat.
- jan m.August 2015Ideal for those passing throughWe stayed at the campsite for one night. The reception was friendly. The showers and toilets were clean.Automatisk oversat.
- Enno U.August 2015PositiveNONENegativDirty, noisy, child-unfriendly, expensive, unfriendly staff, ...Worst place I have seen.We wanted to stay for a few days with 2 family tents. We were offered a pitch outside the area. The site was completely unsuitable for tents due to the ground conditions, was right next to the main road and is partly used as a garbage tip. There were snotty answers when we asked for a better location.... The sanitary facilities are also very dirty. We left immediately, even though it was already late and the children were tired and hungry. It's a shame that you can't give negative stars hereAutomatisk oversat.
- Nils S.June 2015PositiveClose to the beach Close to the cityNegativNoise backdropOnly as a stopoverWe had chosen this site to see Ystad, two nights were planned, after one we were happy to leave. The site is situated between a main road and a railroad line, so there was already a lot of noise. However, the noise from the permanent campers went on almost into the night. There is also supposed to be... a dog beach, but we didn't find it. Like everything in Sweden, it is poorly signposted, there are only signs prohibiting dogs. However, the beach as we could see it from the beach path was very nice. There is a small kiosk for sandwiches etc.Automatisk oversat.
- Olaf O.June 2015For transit onlyWe were only there for 2 nights and would never stay longer. Certainly the end of June is the season there, and the campsite was full. The CP is characterized by the many permanent guests. The pitches are not marked out, so it is difficult to find a free pitch. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly,... but are never clean as they are immediately soiled again by the users. Given the high proportion of permanent campers, I find this even more incomprehensible.Automatisk oversat.
- Klaus S.June 2014Clean CP, directly on the beachWe were there at the end of June for 3 days in transit, like many others.the place is very large, many permanent campers, otherwise a lot of transients, because it is one of the first places near the ferry port Trelleborg.from the place from about 300m to the beach.sanitary facilities enough and clean.but... 3 weeks I would not like to spend a vacation there, for us a bit too much hustle and bustle.very nice is the proximity to the city of Ystad, which is really worth seeing.Automatisk oversat.
- Henrike&Steffen T.July 2013PositiveBeach, proximity to YstadNegativPossible traffic noiseGood place in southern Sweden! The beach is 100m from the campsite. Along the promenade you can reach the center of Ystad after about 20 minutes - it's worth the walk. The campsite is very lively but not too much so. The tents are pitched near a road - could be disturbing.Automatisk oversat.
- Jacqueline S.August 2012We were only at this campsite as a stopover on the way to the ferry. We were there for 4 days. It was OK for that. The sanitary facilities were completely OK. I can't understand the 2 stars. The campsite is right next to the railroad tracks, so I wouldn't want to spend my whole vacation there. But all in all, it's a good place to stay.Automatisk oversat.
- Christine M.May 2012Very tidy, not really friendly, rather overbearing due to the many guests. It was ok for one night after the ferry, especially because you can cycle to Ystad.Automatisk oversat.
- Helge T.August 2011You were penned up somewhere in the pouring rain and left to your own devices. Big problems reaching the pitch with the caravan. Toilets/showers far too narrow and dirty. The floor in the shower was cleaned with a toilet brush hanging from the toilet disposal! Located directly on the main road. Too bad, because the beach with the small beach houses is really nice, although obviously quite dangerous.Automatisk oversat.
- thea t.June 2011The campsite is very noisy and very, very loud. It is located between a busy main road and the route of the regional train. In addition to the 120 permanent campers stated by the ADAC, there are about 100 seasonal campers, leaving about 30 - 40 pitches for tourists. As there are no parcels, you are somewhere... in between. Some "house campers" did not like this. The well-stocked supermarket was closed from Monday to Friday evening - we were there from Monday to Wednesday. Sanitary facilities very simple but clean, but far too few. That was our first impression of Swedish campsites. Fortunately, it was all uphill from there. Sandskogen-Camping: never again!Automatisk oversat.
