Gregor K.July 2019ΘετικάRest and relaxationΑρνητικάIf anything a downside, WiFi not throughout the placePerfect campsite for rest and relaxationWe stayed at Ormsby Field campsite in Castricum for 14 days at the end of June and beginning of July. The site is beautifully situated between fields and farms. It's basically very quiet if the site wasn't in the flight path of Schipol. It bothered us a little at first, but then we didn't even notice... it any more. The operators are very friendly and helpful. When we wanted to change our pitch because we had no or only poor TV reception due to the trees at the edge of the pitch, it was no problem, we were able to move to the middle of the pitch on the same day. Every guest receives a folder with information material and maps of the surrounding area on arrival. The 30 pitches are large enough. Each pitch is equipped with a 6 amp power connection. It would be nice if WiFi were available throughout the site, WiFi access is only available in the barn. The sanitary facilities are quite new and very well maintained. It is a unisex sanitary building, so there is always one of the 6 toilets/1 urinal or one of the 4 showers and 2 wash cubicles free, as there is no separation between males and females. The site is approx. 2 km from the Centrum Castricum. You can go on wonderful bike rides from here. The adjacent dune reserve also invites you to go on extensive tours, whether by bike or on foot. Claudia F.April 2019Θετικά..... A small campsite with a family atmosphereΑρνητικά...the beach is some distance awayFamily short vacationWe were there at Easter and the welcome was extremely friendly. We were given a folder with important information and the hostess gave us some tips for our stay. The sanitary facilities were TIP TOP clean, pleasantly warm showers for 6 minutes, the sink area was just as neat and had hot rinsing water.... There was a washing machine, dryer, microwave and fridges for guests. The 30 pitches were spacious and had electricity. The dunes could be reached on foot in 3 minutes, but you need daily or weekly tickets to hike them. These are available at a nearby campsite. For the children there was a large fleet of ketcars, a playground with trampoline and swings - so the children were always well occupied. The cowshed could be visited and the children could learn something about farming. There was Wi-Fi in the barn and a wooden house that serves as a reception. However, the hosts were happy to help with any problems. Our dogs were welcome, but the dog beach in Wijk an Zee was about 10 km away. We felt very comfortable and were truly decelerated. Ideal for families with children - or those seeking peace and quiet! The campsite is great for families with children. The owner family is very nice and takes really good care of the guests. The farm CP has a trampoline, small playhouses and various Kettcars. The Kettcars are really great. In the barn there is a TV for... the children, but of course the program is in Dutch. You can also look at the cows in the barn (children must be accompanied by an adult) and one day the children were even allowed to drive a tractor. The farmer sat next to it and the children were allowed to steer and accelerate. Our daughters were not bored once during our one week stay, there was always something to play thanks to the various possibilities. Finally, I have to praise the sanitary building. It looks like new, you can shower for free (even with music on the radio) and there was also hot water for washing up. It always smelled very pleasant and was super clean at all times. Soap dispensers at the washbasins, toilet paper in the toilet - everything was great. Thank you very muchΑυτόματη μετάφραση.
