Good bus connection to Freudenstadt. Beautiful hiking trails and clean sanitary facilities.ΑρνητικάThat some campers damage the beautiful lawn with carpets! There are fresh bread rolls in the morning, the selection is great and plentiful. Electricity and water were right next to the camper van. Everything is very clean and quiet. The area is very beautiful. The operators are very nice and friendly. The big... hit is the automatic washing machine for the camping toilet. Insert 2 euros and push in the cassette. The display then said: It's about time.
We really liked it, the place is in our top 3

The site is in an idyllic location - there is a bread roll service - a lovely garden restaurant - a barbecue area and

Something else special: every guest receives 1 bottle of Alpirsbacher as a welcome drink (you can even choose the type of beer)

In the low season, there is hardly any space left in hotspots such as Lake Constance, Titisee and other places (thanks to Corona).
I therefore call this place an insider tip, because you can't ask for more from a place and the infrastructure available on site....
Mountain biking, walking, hiking, excursions to Tuttlingen, monastery nearby - there are many possibilities here.
That's all you need.

It is a well-kept site with few permanent campers. Great opportunity for children to play in the Kinzig when the weather is nice. The food in the small restaurant is inexpensive and delicious. The operators are very relaxed when allocating pitches. We called and reserved... a pitch. On the day of arrival, around 8pm, the pitch seemed to be full. Our reservation probably had no meaning. We were told that 15 places were still "free". We should look for a place. Not so easy, no idea about the layout. A guest showed us the concrete markings that we were supposed to stick to. Some of the vehicles were still parked in the possibly free spaces .... . Help from the site would not have been a bad idea. Strangely enough, there were various reservations for contiguous pitches. Groups of friends and families came the next day.
We had the misfortune that a U-shaped caravan park (on a plot) was set up opposite us with an opening directly to our pitch. Sometimes 15 people with a barbecue and everything you need for a cozy family reunion. That was the end of pure nature. For 2 days we had a background noise like at Frankfurt Central Station. As we are not the complaining type, we stoically put up with it and only expressed our displeasure after lighting a barbecue. We have absolutely nothing against meetings of this kind. Especially in times of Corona, camping offers a great opportunity to see each other in a relaxed and safe way. However, we expect the campsite team to have a certain duty of care towards the other guests, no matter how much stress there is. We weren't the only ones who were annoyed. Just walk around the site and defuse such "hotspots" a little. There are very nice paths for walking with the dog. For excursions we recommend Alpirsbach (here the monastery tour and the brewery tour) and the town of Schiltach (very beautiful half-timbered houses, interesting history). The site itself is very clean and the... operators are really very nice (one beer per person at the reception, how great is that). The restaurant on site is okay, the service is excellent. We would also like to mention that it is certainly helpful to be at least a dog lover, preferably to bring your own dog. There is a restaurant with good food and delicious beer. There is a mini shop with small items and a bread roll service. Washing machine available, table football, small playground... and table tennis table available, free choice of pitches with sufficiently large pitches (meadow pitches), we found the place great. The young operator (since 2017) and his team are extremely friendly and totally uncomplicated. It didn't bother us.Cozy little placeWe were at the campsite over Ascension Day and had booked in advance. Nevertheless, we were able to choose a pitch of our choice. The site is located directly on the Kinzig river, which is also very easily accessible and invites you to take a dip. Children also like to use it for splashing around. The... site is clean, the staff are very friendly and every guest receives a bottle of Alpirsbach beer of their choice as a welcome gift. Alpirsbach is easily accessible on foot (approx. 2 km).
