Gaby H.September 2024ΘετικάIn good weather certainly a breathtaking view, friendly staff, clean sanitary facilitiesΑρνητικάSanitary area always clean, but with the beginning of autumn cold the windows were always open so that it was quite cold after showering, no connection to public transport, disadvantage for WoMo and rainNice place with small disadvantagesBeautiful place with a breathtaking view, which unfortunately we could only enjoy on arrival, then Mrs. Holle switched to waterbeds and it rained almost continuously. Of course it's nobody's fault, it's just fate whether you get sun or rain.
But with a motorhome, i.e. without a car, you're pretty much... tied to the site when it's pouring with rain. The public transport connection is only available on weekdays at a few times (approx. 10-minute walk to the next village), on Sundays and public holidays there is no connection at all.
Well, we could have considered this beforehand and will take it into account in our future vacation planning.
Restaurant on site was ok, but beware, they are huge portions.
The staff were very nice and responded to requests without any problems.
Sanitary facilities are clean and tidy, but you get cold after showering as the windows were always tilted. I understand about the ventilation, but it really wasn't fun. As a result, there wasn't much going on at the site, which didn't bother us.
The camping site borders directly on the lake, where you can swim until October as it is one of the warmest lakes in Bavaria.
We had an Xl terrace pitch with a beautiful view of the lake. The wash house is a bit older and simpler, but adequate and clean.
You have to go to the musty cellar to do the dishes, but it's bearable for a short time.
The lake access is very nice with great play facilities for children. Unfortunately, tent guests are... allowed to pitch their tents anywhere on the beach meadow and so they are sometimes in the middle of the sun-hungry bathers.
The access to the campsite is very narrow, especially in front of the reception. Patience is the watchword here.

Surprise in the sanitary, the house looks a bit outdated from the outside, but inside everything is tiptop and new. Very nicely done. Also a very practical motorhome disposal point.
Unfortunately, the ground on our pitch was not so well paved and... after a day of constant rain the 4 tons sank in a bit. As this row is specially designed for motorhomes, you could make a better surface at the pitches. This would also protect the meadow.
The path to the electricity column is also quite long. The town of Murnau is about 15 minutes by bike.
Aldi, Edeka by car 10min
To Garmisch about 30min.
Great starting point for ebike tours or hikes
Quiet location, although hiking/cycling trail runs through the site
Young owner, renovations and detail improvements underway.

A small store with bread roll service, the Brugger Hütte with delicious food, supply and disposal, clean sanitary facilities, everything a camper's heart desires. Nice bathing areaΑρνητικάRestricted access to the campsiteSummer vacation 2020Camping Brugger is a beautiful, family-run campsite. The staff are very friendly. We were there as a family with 2 teenagers aged 16 and 12. The site is very clean and looked well looked after. The permanent and seasonal campers make up the majority (approx. 80%). The rest are tourist campers, short-term... campers and tent campers. Lake Riegsee is very idyllic and, at approx. 23°, nice and pleasant for swimming. The bathing area is well structured. There are designated areas for the dog beach and also for SUB users. There is also a nice little kiosk by the lake where you can get the most basic necessities. There is also a bread roll service. Free WLan only works near the reception. There is also a well-run restaurant on site. The sanitary building is of a good standard and is cleaned several times a day. It was ok for us. Only the washing-up facilities are limited and located in the basement and look a bit worn. Something should be done about this or the rinsing basins should be moved to the outside area. The tourist areas also need a bit of graveling. When it rains, the bare earth splashes against the awning, which is not so nice. The access to the campsite from the main road is very, very narrow so that 2 caravans cannot pass each other when there is oncoming traffic. You just have to hope that you are seen in time or that nobody is coming the other way. On departure, however, the campsite operator is happy to help by closing off the access road in advance so that you can get onto the main road easily. Otherwise everything was fine there. The Corona rules were also implemented very well and adhered to by the guests accordingly. We liked it there very much and we would visit the place again at any time. It was a very nice vacation at the Riegsee in the "Blue Land". We would love to come back. We received a friendly welcome and were allowed to choose a pitch. There was another beautiful pitch with a direct view of the lake. Unfortunately, this pitch was very uneven, but the high wedges made it possible. There is a badge for the sanitary... building. This ensures that no hikers, bikers etc. can use these facilities. We thought that was good. Unfortunately, it was wet and cool during our stay and yet the windows in the sanitary building were always open. An imposition for showering! The rooms were far too cool! What I found very unpleasant as a woman was that you had to wash the dishes in the "gloomy" basement in the men's wing. The atmosphere is not inviting. The store unfortunately only had a very small selection. However, the bread roll service was okay and the lady was always very friendly. If you are there with a motorhome, there are no shopping facilities within walking distance. We ate in the restaurant once; it was good. The nearest restaurant is about 45 minutes away on foot - not ideal. I used the washing machine on this campsite and hung up my clothes in the drying room. A short time later, two long-sleeved shirts (odlo and sherpa) were missing. I was very annoyed. How pathetic must it be to steal another camper's clothes? I immediately reported this incident to reception and was assured that the cost of the new shirts would be reimbursed or transferred. Thank you for this offer! I have not yet had the chance to buy the new shirts, but I will do so soon and hope that Ms. Brugger will keep her word. We explored the lake circular walk with our dog and found it terrible. You walk 80% of the way on asphalt and through many villages. For us, this is not a beautiful and recommendable hiking trail! The 40-minute walk early in the morning was very pleasant. On country lanes - always in the countryside - so walking with the dog is fun. There are not many opportunities to hike directly from the CP. There are probably wonderful hiking opportunities within a 15-minute drive. Totally okay by car - unfavorable by motorhome. Unfortunately, we also had to make the experience on this site that campers do not keep their dogs on a lead. Simply incomprehensible! These small dogs (males) came barking and growling onto our pitch and turned on our big dog. They were called back once, twice no three times and then an apology came. This wouldn't have to happen if ALL dogs were on a lead, as required by the regulations! It's no wonder that more and more campsites are banning dogs.
