Quaint campsite without entertainment. Pure tranquillity, except for the music played by the boss himself at the weekend. Loud and inappropriate. Free choice of pitch, mostly an older, quieter crowd. We really liked the simplicity of the pitches (no visible parcelling out). You still have space to play with your children. The proximity to the lake, 5 minutes on foot, is great. Sanitary facilities were always clean.
Baker brings bread without pre-order on place,... I think great and we do not need more. The site is in a great location for biking, hiking or suping on the lake.

Patrick H.September 2020ΘετικάVery quiet location, friendly staff, clean sanitary facilitiesΑρνητικά50Rp. for 3min. shower, entrance not suitable for vehicles with large overhang, washing up only possible outsideNice campsite with potential in the most beautiful valley in SwitzerlandThe quiet yet central location is the trump card of this gem near Lago di Poschiavo. The wonderful Valposchiavo can be perfectly explored from here. The best way to do this is on foot, by train (stop 10' away) or by bike. You can also benefit from the central location in the Southern Alps by bike. Duty-free... shopping in Livigno, sightseeing in Poschiavo or an adventurous train ride to the Ospizio Bernina followed by a hike are just some of the things you have to experience in this southern Graubünden valley.
The modern, clean sanitary facilities at Camping Cavresc are centrally located in the main building, where you can also enjoy a small snack (pizza & pasta). The prices are ok, and the village baker comes to the site every morning at 09:00 (with loud honking). A small store, which sells Volg products as well as specialties, can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, not everything is positive: the entrance is almost impossible to manage with caravans over 7.5m. Our LMC VIVO 530 K could only be maneuvered out of the campsite undamaged with great difficulty, the neighbor's Fendt 2-axle caravan (8.5m) was mercilessly grounded and maneuvered onto the access road with damaged support legs. The fact that you still have to use 'füfzgerli' (50-centime pieces) for showering is somewhat antiquated and should be urgently adapted.
The prices in the valley are high. Despite our desire to support the valley, specialties only ended up in our shopping basket once because of the high prices. The local beer, which tastes really good, is not worth CHF 4.60/3dl. It is to be feared that this price trend is not sustainable.
We'll see if the campsites and hotels are still fully booked after Covid19...
Despite everything, we will be traveling to Valposchiavo again and staying at Camping Cavresc due to a lack of choice.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

Very courteous groundsman. A cozy restaurant belongs to it (due to Convid-19, however, a limited offer). Sanitary facilities very well maintained and clean.
Excellent starting point for cycling and long hikes.
WLAN is slow but free. Individual trees provide shade, but there are plenty of open areas for the mountain sun. Free pitches can be occupied in the absence of the reception and later registration is possible. Longer power cable may be necessary. Shopping facilities in the village store... within walking distance. Very nice and clean sanitary facilities! However, washing up outdoors under a canopy. Small restaurant on site with local specialties and bread roll service. Excursions to the picturesque village of Poschiavo and to Tirano / Sondrio. The Bernina cable car just around the corner takes bikes easily up to the Bernina Pass, from where you can make wonderful descents through the valley. Wild mountains and the scent of Ricola herbs, which are grown right next to the campsite, make campers' hearts beat faster. Anyone who likes peace and quiet and appreciates plenty of space is in good hands here. A completely unknown corner of Switzerland with Italo-Romance flair!Αυτόματη μετάφραση.
