Staff are super friendly and helpful. Note lunch times 13.00-15.00. Clean and equipped with toilet paper, but there are no shelves. There is only a storage facility in one shower. In the other two you have to put your things on the floor. Wash house can only be opened with a key which is not bad if you would get at least 2 keys. No supply of food on the pitch. No bread roll service either :-(Getting on in yearsUnfortunately, the Corona period was not used to modernize the CP. Many campers have complained about the sanitary building.
Unfortunately, you only get one key to use the sanitary facilities and the kitchen. Not exactly convenient.
There is no bread roll service.
30 € for the night is far too high for these facilities.

C.July 2020ΘετικάLocation directly on the "Pfälzer Weinsteig", short distance to Bad Dürkheim, very friendly owner, good facilities with information material, maps, brochures at receptionΑρνητικάThe road directly passing by can be disturbing in the morning & evening, sanitary facilities definitely no longer up to date, no food supply etc.Beautifully situated with "sanitary weakness"...The well-kept site is divided into an upper part (more space on the pitches, sunnier) and a narrower, lower area by the stream (more shade, slightly smaller pitches). A good and actually quiet location. However, sensitive minds may be disturbed by the road that runs right next to the pitch. Absolutely... quiet at night, but busier in the mornings and evenings due to the relatively high speed of the cars. The operator is absolutely friendly and helpful. SAT reception is only available on the pichtes directly on the road (must be requested separately) and cell phone reception is practically non-existent due to the valley location. WLAN is available, usually works well and is free of charge! The campsite is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. The atmosphere on the site is pleasant and informal. Apart from the pitch, the site offers almost no infrastructure, only a small playground for children, and disposal of gray water / chemical toilet is available. There is no kiosk, snack bar or bread roll service. The nearest bakery/supermarket is in Wachenheim, about 2 km away (on a steep slope). No problem for fit bikers/e-bikers in the morning; others may find it a little more difficult here due to the incline. You should bear this in mind and bring a few provisions from excursions etc. with you. There is also a lovely outdoor pool in Wachenheim. The night's rest is always observed. The real sticking point of the site are the sanitary facilities: 2 showers each (very cramped!), 2 washbasins and 2 toilets for men and women are definitely not enough for this site. And all that (per gender) in ONE room! So even a little privacy is really not possible... The small number of showers etc. means that they are used very frequently and therefore the facilities are not always really clean...

We had also relied on the reviews such as idyllic campsite, quiet, clean sanitary facilities etc..
The truth was:
Access via a small road
Very friendly reception by the groundsman
Pitches mostly without shade,... but spacious
Electricity, shower and wifi included.
Cell phone reception so-so. Sometimes it doesn't work.
You can hardly get pegs into the ground it is so stony
Sanitary facilities are at least 25 years old and only
2 toilets and 2 small shower cubicles for 100 people.
We only found no water points at the sanitary facilities. A restaurant and pub can be reached via a forest path that is illuminated at night
The road is very popular with motorcyclists,
i.e. disturbing noise during the day from 6-22 h, but quiet at night.
If you want to get into the village, you have to cycle about 2 km along the busy and narrow road, which not everyone wants to do, especially at night.Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - Roswitha R.June 2020ΘετικάLarge pitches parceled out by small hedges, extremely friendly staffΑρνητικάNIXSuper campsiteWe were pleasantly surprised by the size of the pitches, super-friendly staff, illuminated footpath into the village, bakery, butcher, petrol station, REWE market available, train station about 40 minutes' walk away (day ticket for 2 people €10), plenty of footpaths, cycle paths and hiking trails, fantastic... surroundings, quaint and chic pubs etc. etc.
The forest road is perhaps not recommended for larger trailers at the weekend, as it is narrow and cars park offset (if they do)!Αυτόματη μετάφραση. - Thomas K.October 2019ΘετικάQuiet at night, very good starting point for hikes and mountain biking,Αρνητικάno bread roll service/foodQuiet location above the wine routeWe were on our way there on 02.10.2019, but this was significantly delayed due to heavy traffic on the highways. No problem, arrival feasible until 9 pm. Very nice and relaxed groundskeeper! Access through the village for VW bus and 2.3m wide WoWa completely problem-free. We were allocated a pitch in... the upper part, which was perfectly adequate for a 7.8m long camper van. Sufficiently wide path on the CP. Sanitary facilities a bit dated but clean, brand new taps; however, the showers are a bit cramped in places. Absolutely quiet at night, moderate through traffic during the day (not disturbing). Nice walk to the Wachtenburg with a wonderful view of the Palatinate, delicious, hearty food. There is also a nice restaurant nearby. Per night with three adults 31.50 euros complete, adequate price. Nothing that would spoil a vacationIdeal for rest, excursions to the PalatinateA clearly laid out campsite divided into upper and lower pitches. The upper pitches are slightly larger. On the pitches by the road, the chance of receiving TV is somewhat greater. The cell phone network is "0" (E+ and Vodafone). But there is free W-Lan on site. The access road and pitches are a very... good size. The sanitary facilities are good, but the shower is perhaps a little narrow for wider people. The reception was very friendly, and on request we were able to move to a different pitch than the one we had previously been allocated. The site doesn't have a restaurant, kiosk or bread service, but it has a charm that we found hard to resist. Highly recommended for hikers and cyclists.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

The approach with long and wide caravans is quite a time-consuming challenge, the driveway through the village is narrow and congested. The pitches are rather too small for such trailers. When we made our reservation, we specifically asked for a sufficiently... large pitch, but we were given a mini pitch where we couldn't even fit our awning. The sanitary facilities are clean but cramped and dated. Toilets, washbasins and showers are all in one room without a partition. We would like to emphasize the friendly welcome at the reception. The site is very quiet at night, but during the day you can hear the few cars driving through the valley. The sanitary facilities are extremely clean and well-kept, as is... the whole site. But then the small babbling brook is also annoying.The square in transit from north to southThis summer was the fourth time I've spent the first night of my vacation with my tent and car on this site. The first two times were on the tent pitch, but back then the car was not allowed to stay on the pitch. I don't know if this is still the case. Now I pitch my tent and car on a parceled-out pitch... on the lower part. That's more practical, of course. And there's easy access to electricity. The sanitary block is clean and tidy and a bit old. The toilet cubicles are a bit cramped. :-). Cell phone reception is really limited, but honestly.... maybe you can go "back to the roots". :-) It is a vacation after all. When you arrive, remember that there is a midday rest. There is no registration between 12 and 3 pm. But then all the nicer.Αυτόματη μετάφραση.

Very noisy.My stay at the campsiteThe campsite is divided into 2 parts. Part 1 mainly permanent campers, part 2 a parceled-out site with some permanent campers. I didn't like the way the upper part was parceled out, even though the pitches are large. I also found the prices unreasonable. The garbage charge alone is €1.50 a day, which... is outrageous. If I extrapolate the garbage charge to 365 days, it comes to € 547.50. How much garbage am I supposed to produce on the campsite? The campsite is also very noisy. The site itself had nice large pitches and was very reasonably priced. The sanitary facilities on the old part of the site were not the most modern and beautiful but, and this is very important to us, they were clean. Ideal starting point for hiking or cycling. You are in good hands here with a dog. The sanitary facilities are cramped but clean. Hot showers included in the price. It is annoying that there is hardly any cell phone reception. The... WiFi works more poorly than well and is far too expensive at €3/day (at least for the quality). It's a shame that the campsite doesn't have a restaurant or kiosk, and there's no bread delivery service. However, the nearest restaurants are within easy walking distance.
