If you're not into hiking or cycling, you'll clearly find hardly any interesting activities here. The place, especially the snack bar there, is very unfriendly. No receipts are issued by the snack bar for gas or meals and the change,... including the tip given, is not correct, and there is also cheating on the drinks consumed. There are no receipts for these either, nor for the gas purchased. So if you don't just want to live off your own purchases and gas, this is not the place for you. The sanitary facilities are extremely outdated and were never cleaned during the 2 weeks we were there in June. The prices are reasonable according to the condition of the site. Dogs are allowed if they are kept on a lead at the campsite. This region is ideal for walking. Shopping facilities for self-catering can be reached from 5km away. Negative point is clearly that you are about 200m next to the A33 and it is quite loud, especially in older caravans, but this is made up for by the many birdsong. The safari park and the Ems springs are definite highlights. The cities of Bielefeld and Paderborn are also close by, where there are many sights and you can go on an extended shopping spree.
