Somewhat strange clientele.Noise until the police had to comeActually an unspectacular campsite, nothing special but it would be ok for one night if there wasn't a large meadow right next to it that is freely accessible for groups. Problem: There are several 1000-watt music systems making unbearable noise all night long. Speech at 1:20 a.m. was useless. Everyone... was drunk. I had to call the police. At 1:45 a.m. it was quiet. In the early morning the music started up again.
A neighboring tent family with friends talked so loudly until 2:30 a.m. as if they were completely alone there. Only when the police arrived did they shut up for a short time.
Conclusion: A horror night, if you are looking for peace and quiet, you have to go somewhere else.

Very quiet despite being close to the road. Ideal starting point for cycling tours, as the Altmühl cycle path runs right past the site. Restaurant on site also offers very good bread service. Nearest... shopping facilities approx. 2 km away. Sanitary facilities very clean, but in need of renovation and rather undersized with high occupancy. Instead of WLAN, there is a telephone box where you can be called. Pure camping without all the frills but with lots of charm and friendly operators. Friendly operators. Suitable for anyone who doesn't care about frills and doesn't give an ADAC 5-star rating. Swimming in the canal, fishing, boat landing area or simply relaxing. Camping under apple trees, pitches directly on... the Danube-Main Canal or for groups on a large secluded camping meadow. The area offers numerous excursion destinations such as Weltenburg Abbey, which can be reached by bike directly or in combination with a river trip through the fantastic Danube gorge. The Altmühl cycle path runs right past the site. The campsite also has a restaurant which offers quite decent food. Nothing special, but good and reasonably priced. The tourist pitches are mainly... located on grassy areas arranged around the main square. The site is a little rustic. There was electricity from a cable drum and the sanitary facilities are also a bit outdated and there seems to be an occasional hot water problem with the ladies. You should use the showers in the guesthouse in case of "problems". However, this was not necessary during our stay. Sanitary facilities were old but clean. The site is certainly not for 5-star luxury campers. But you shouldn't expect that at a price of €15 per night (Womo, 2 people incl. electricity). The pitch we booked was reserved and we received a friendly welcome. The pitch was right down by the water and on the cycle path, so we had plenty to see when the big boats and cyclists passed by. We felt very comfortable and will be... back. Prices are OK also the food in the restaurant tastes great, service friendly If the men had one more toilet and a shower it would be great, but even so they were always clean. It would be good if there was a light downstairs at night, so you need a flashlight to go to the toilet at night, but a camper has that with them! The pitch is freely selectable, very nice are also the tent pitches They are located under fruit trees, which provide shade and also some small... campfires are created, the appropriate wood can be bought here.the place is relatively quiet and is located directly on the Main-Danube Canal.the staff is very nice and helpful, toilets were always clean. Thomas S.August 2013The CP is kept very simple. In my opinion, this is only suitable if you are on a short vacation or as a stopover. The cleanliness and condition of the sanitary facilities leaves a lot to be desired (was not cleaned on the weekend). Two showers per male and female is quite little for the size of the CP. A pitch was reserved for us according to our wishes. Friendly bread roll service. The sanitary facilities were completely inadequate, especially at the weekend. Huge tent and pitch areas and only 2 toilets and 2 showers per gender (not 2 facilities, but really only 2). Over a period of 5 or 6 days the garbage bin was overflowing and stank.
