"Very idyllic with a somewhat adventurous approach - Visited with Trailertent as a couple ! The site is in a very idyllic location about 25km outside Riga. We were the only ones on the site in June. As it is still low season, all showers were still with cold water. However, the manager gave us the key to the family bathroom, which actually costs extra, free of charge. It had hot water there. The kitchen is very nice. Spacious and well equipped. Space to sit. The approach is a bit adventurous. The last 2 km are on gravel, no problem. But the 7 km before that are on the edge of a military training area. The road consists of patches and holes. Two nights all in cost 37€. German is spoken in broken form. Very nice operators.

"Very remote but good - Site is very remote but well equipped and friendly staff. Very suitable for groups. Well-equipped kitchen with hotplates, fridge and kettle. Canoe and bike hire available. Small kiosk (drinks)

"Very ambivalent! - The operators are very helpful and super friendly! However, the site is a bit out of the way - 8 km to Adazi. A day trip to Riga is possible, but exhausting. (1 hour). Beautiful and spacious rooms for guests on rainy days. Every now and then loud practice shots from the nearby military training area. Very different sanitary facilities. Women okay, but men in the basement: oh dear! During our days there, a children's camp was held on the site by a military outfitter from Riga. Strange!

"Sehr gut - We were there in July with our caravan and had a tour of Riga and the surrounding area. The schöne, ruhige und topp gepflegte Platz liegt nahe beim Fluss Gauja. Vielfältige Freizeitaktivitäten werden angeboten. The sanitary installations are großzügig und sauber. The service is very free. We can use the beach very easily.

" - Zeer moeilijk te vinden, ook met de coördinaten van de GPS. In het naseizoen niemand op de receptie, ook niet s'-nachts. slechte wifi verbinding.

Προφίλ

Leiputrija is a small-scale campsite in the middle of Latvia, about 25 kilometres from the capital Riga. You will be camping in a mainly flat, rural and wooded area. The Gauja River flows just a few hundred metres from the …campsite. The campsite offers many opportunities for activities and excursions, such as quad biking, canoeing, karting and buggy rides. The 35 demarcated pitches at Camping Leiputrija offer plenty of space for your caravan or camper van. Most of the terrain is grassy, with a few spots here and there in the tree line. There are two separate areas for campers. The campsite also offers accommodation in addition to pitches, including a mobile home and simple log cabins. These vary considerably in size (9-25 m²) and are suitable for two to eight people. Would you prefer something more luxurious? Then choose one of the five rooms. Depending on which room you book, you will have access to your own bathroom and to shared facilities such as a sauna, an entertainment room and a terrace. Leiputrija campsite offers everything you need for an active holiday. There are sports fields (basketball, volleyball, football), a playground, seven fishing lakes, the Gauja River (ideal for canoeing) and a variety of excursion options. You can rent bicycles, quads, karts or buggies to explore the surrounding nature. The campsite also organises canoe and kayak trips. You can also take a pedal boat out on the water. The sanitary facilities are in good condition. There is also a communal kitchen, which is very practical for guests camping in tents. You can get fresh bread from the small shop at reception.

How to find us from center of capital Riga: It’s easy: - You need to drive down the main street – Brivibas street – straight all the way (if leaving from Old town/Statue of freedom – 11,7 km) till you …cross the Riga city border. - Keep driving straight the freeway (A2 / E77) for 1,8 km more till the turn-off to Tallin (Via baltica freeway – A1 / E67; direction - Tallinn); - Cross the viaduct and drive down the A1/E67 for 13 km (through Baltezers, pass Adazi), cross the bridge over Gauja and drive 600 more meters and turn right (there you’ll see a blue “camping/accommodation” road sign on the cross) to a smaller road. After 300 meters you will see another road sign, then – after 700 meters another one. Just follow the "Leiputrija's" signs. At the end you will see the sign for right turn (this will be a very sharp right turn to unpaved road.). Drive the road about 1,3 km till you see the Leiputrija on your left. So you are here! Welcome! GPS coordinates: N 57°05´22.9” E 24°26´40.7” (If writing an address in GPS, use "Kadaga" name - a village situated 7 km from camping).
