" - Very shady site with large pitches. It's right on the River Lot and that's the great thing about this site. The river is very low, you can walk through it or even swim or fish in a hollow. The water is crystal clear and very warm in midsummer. Otherwise, the site has a small swimming pool with slides, but is completely overcrowded in August. The pool was not heated and it took some effort to get in properly. The sanitary facilities can be described as basic, but despite being almost 100% full, they were always clean. The journey from the highway to the site is very time-consuming and tedious (small, narrow and very winding road). The main sights (Tarnschlucht etc.) are all a little way away and very time-consuming to reach. The campsite is under Dutch management, the guests are mainly from Holland and France.

Προφίλ

Marmotel campsite is located in the south of France, near Aveyron on the banks of the Lot. It borders two nature parks and is surrounded by green hills, making it an ideal camping destination for nature lovers. The family campsite …offers spacious, mostly shaded pitches and rental accommodation. There are also pitches with private sanitary facilities. Most of the facilities are located in the village of Saint-Geniez-d'Olt. Campsite Marmotel looks well cared for. There are mobile homes and chalets at the front of the site. The camping pitches are located further back and at the far end, towards the river, there is a new section with many pitches with private sanitary facilities. The pitches are spacious and there is a tree on each pitch. All pitches are on grassy areas and the one-and-a-half-metre-high hedges provide plenty of privacy. The village of Saint-Geniez-d'Olt offers most facilities, including a supermarket and a few restaurants. But there is also plenty to do at the campsite. There is a restaurant with a snack bar and a large terrace. There is a nice playground for children. During the high season, the entertainment team organises many activities for young and old. During the day there are sports tournaments and in the evening there is dancing, karaoke or a quiz. From the terrace, you can already see the outdoor pool. The pool is in full sun and surrounded by a spacious sunbathing area. For even more water fun, there is a slide and a children's pool for the little campers. You can also have fun in and around the river.
