Kiev Complex "Prolisok" N 50° 27.165' / E 30° 20.2032' http://prolisok.kiev.ua The complex is located on the main road from Kiev to Lviv and is not signposted. It is obviously a conference or seminar hotel. During the day, group games are held on the so-called campsite, as is usual for management courses... and the like. In my opinion, the website promises more than is actually there. On the "campsite, which is located in a picturesque green forest clearing" (according to the website), the green area actually consists of 30-50 cm high weeds and there are large concrete elements lying around. The sanitary facilities are serviceable and the showers are inadequate. There is a gully with a light lid and a water connection with a short hose for disposing of the chemical toilet. There also seem to be electrical connections. The staff is nice and very helpful with questions or problems. They also speak English at reception and one member of staff speaks German. There is a truck parking area and a Citroen garage on the premises. We were unable to eat in the restaurants. One is only for groups and the others have obviously been closed for some time and are partly run down! A cab to the city center costs 100UAH and back about 150UAH. The nearest metro station is about 45` walk into town. We paid 200UAH per night. The understanding of camping in the UA, RUS and other former Soviet republics differs significantly from that in the rest of Europe.
