A walk around the lake is ideal for families, as you can take a paved road directly along the lake, approx. 8km. So be sure to take your bikes with you. Well-kept campsite with direct access to the lake. Food was okay in terms of price, food truck only opens in good weather, but otherwise there is always something to eat on the terrace/inside.ΑρνητικάThe Schlierseebahn, which runs directly past the campsite and gives warning signals twice an hour between 6 and 23:00 due to the unrestricted railroad crossing, is super loud and disturbs the beautiful idyll. Pitches on gravel and very narrow, sometimes reminiscent of parking lots. If we come back, then definitely only the first row of lakes. The sanitary facilities were okay, cleaning once a day with high frequency sometimes too little. Not enough shower cubicles as some were blocked off. The playground is a climbing frame with slide and nest swing - for a longer stay you have to drive into the village for larger playgrounds.Camping by the lakeOverall beautiful campsite directly on the Schliersee, fantastic in good weather. The prices are not cheap, especially for families. Nice place, friendly operators and delicious restaurant on site. Only the toilets and showers were unfortunately dirty or not clean. For 40 euros per night, this must be possible. After the change of ownership a few years ago, we saw that this campsite is now also open in winter. We thought it was great and took the opportunity to test the campsite for winter suitability when we were passing through. And we really liked it. Compared to the somewhat strange previous owner, the campsite has improved significantly with the new owner. It looks more modern, tidier and now also appeals to young people. I'm sure some permanent campers find it a shame that the pitches have been reduced, but in my opinion it was just right. What did we really like? First of all, there was unlimited hot water for showers etc. in the sanitary area. I don't necessarily shower longer and more often, but I just find it more pleasant not to be driven by a clock or constantly having to get coins. We used 90 cents worth of electricity during our overnight stay. The price for this was waived. A gift. Of course, 90 cents is not a lot of money, but in this case it was the gesture that counted. Something like that stays in your memory. In short, we were very satisfied.ΑρνητικάWe arrived at 8pm and the reception was closed. We booked a pitch online and found it without any problems. But what we didn't find/because we didn't know it yet were the electricity connections. These were hidden in a bird house. We didn't see it in the dark. So we quickly moved to another place where we found a connection. But this little detail was the only thing that didn't go quite right. Also on offer: bread roll service, yoga courses right on the water, SUP rental etc. Loving details throughout... the site and the extremely friendly staff make your stay the perfect vacation!
